Personally I’m very glad the issue of football chat has been raised. I agree that bits should not be forced and must come naturally, but I think you may be selling yourselves short fellas. We must not forget that these two gentlemen were able to collate 8 weeks worth of high quality chat about buffets and about 5 weeks about sandwiches, so I believe that the two of you have the potential to take any mundane topic and create moments of podcasting glory. Perhaps its worth bringing back the signal, so viewers can sift through and get the gravy, and if they listen to it via podcast platforms, fuck em (make sure to set it automatic downloads and rate 5*). Alternatively, just make more vague links between football and porn, that’s always fun.

I'm a Chelsea fan. I've recently been reading the book Unruly by David Mitchell as I have an interest in history as well as football. The book is about the kings and queens of England/ Britain. And upon reading the section about William the conqueror and the king that he over threw; Harold Goodwinson I was shocked to find out that, a month before the battle of Hastings, Harold faught a battle against a group of vikings who had camped out in York called The Battle of Stamford Bridge. That battle happened on 25 September 1066. That's exactly 928 years to the day before I was born. Some things are just destiny. 💙

For players whose legacies are frivolously disappoint things Iago Aspas has to get a mention. Aspas has scored nearly 200 goals in just over 450 games for Celta Vigo, some would say he’s a Celta Vigo legend however all that doesn’t matter as his entire legacy is defined by one howler of a corner against Chelsea when Liverpool were in search of a goal after Gerrard’s slip. He’s even gone on to say that it still haunts him, Big up Jaffn!

James if you are going to talk about all of the controversial handball decisions next week then I have the solution! VAR ISN'T THE PROBLEM! Penalties are the problem. Penalties should not be awarded for accidental handballs. Point blank blocked crosses/shots do not warrant the other team getting an almost guaranteed goal. The calls are too difficult to make consistently with the current handball rule and by removing the penalty you remove all of the controversy that comes with a game-changing decision. They should be replaced with indirect freekicks. I think penalties in general should only be given for clear goalscoring offences. Last man tackles etc... They alter results unfairly in too many scenarios IMO.

Lived in the US for the past 10 years so well versed in both Stone Island get the badge in culture as well as the jersey over the hoody culture. To answer Flav's question about what is considered "hard" in American sports fan culture, it's pretty much how obnoxiously loud you want to be as there is no away fans section at most venues, so you are in broad daylight behind enemy lines. In England I am sure we have all been there when we have had to go incognito as the only ticket we could get was in the home end for an away game, we wear neutral colors and we give it the the subtle clench fist and mutter "yes" under our breath when our team scores as to not blow our cover. In the US, when an away fan is double hard they do the opposite. They make sure everyone around them knows who they are cheering for and inevitably this leads to quite a lot of fights, specifically at NFL games. They let you drink in your seats at US stadiums too so that definitely has a big part to play in it.

legacy tarnished: may not be the best timing given his current form, but I would say that the shouts for Aguero being among the top 3 premier league strikers of all time have completely vanished following Haaland's opening season

For tarnishing their legacy while playing it's got to be Jon Walters scoring 2 OG giving away 2 pens and kicking the ball into his own face. But for tarnishing the legacy after playing has got to be Matt Le.Tiss and his wild conspiracy theories no one is thinking about him flicking the ball over that guy's head and banging it anymore

Nothing worse than when you’re desperate to win a cup final, watching the game on the pub, you’re 1-0 down, and every decision the ref makes seems to against you but whoever you’re with says “good decision that” why don’t you go and marry the ref if you love them so much

If you combine the NFL jersey over the hoodie, with the cheek bone face paint like the players sometimes have don't be around them in opposition colors when they're drunk.

I like Kane’s legacy of leaving to win cups and then Bayern Happens. I’ll always remember that the most about Kane and not all those goals he scored. I’ll remember Bayern not winning
