One of the most underappreciated working singer songwriters out there! This was awesome. Love the production value and colors in this video.

Lyrics I remember when I was, seventeen years old The world seemed so big, and didn't seem so cold Now, there's some things I struggle with and I don't mean paying the bills But tryin' to remember where I hid, all the things that give me chills Remember when I used to wake up, wake up with a smile High-five myself in the mirror, I ain't done it in a while If you were still around, you might make me feel Like I used to way back whеn If you were still around, I'd feel just like I should Not so much likе damaged goods Saw you the other day, the farmer's market on the square I hid behind a mound of apples, you never saw that I was there And you look better than the photos I have framed in my mind The ones I carry in my heart from some other place, another time If you were still around, you might make me feel Like I used to way back when If you were still around, I'd feel just like I should Not so much like damaged goods If you were still around, you might make me feel Like I used to way back when If you were still around, I'd feel just like I should Not so much like damaged, much like damaged Much like damaged goods I remember when I was, seventeen years old The world seemed so big, and didn't seem so cold

This is really good. The chord progression at the start reminded me of Sunsets for Somebody Else by Jack Johnson, but this has got a feel of its own I haven't heard in country before.

Yep then life hit and she hit the road while you hit the grinding stone trying to make something of yourself not realizing that all your good years were just passing you on then when suddenly everybody important in your life that had that undying love for you as you did them had their journeys here with you land on the wrong side of the heavens coin flip and get taken from you. So before you knew it you were in a daze with only memories of when things used to be fun, you used to be happy, and now your suddenly all alone in this cold mean world with nothing to hold onto but material crap, your good looks were worn off from the non stop slaving for a paycheck, and along with the looks your health, spirit, good nature and friends were all taken with it.. finding things to put reason behind opening your eyes each godamn morning gets harder and harder and that eats at your soul. How things used to be starts to slowly blend into the gray haze we call old memories and the sound of the ache your bones make grows with every step. Praying that your next step may land on the wrong side of heavens coin toss and you’ll finally get to go talk to momma again and see grammas smile that somehow said that she loved you and was so proud of you without even opening her lips. To shoot the shit with pops again and have a beer with the guys who all left you for one thing or another. Sitting in a rocking chair on a porch with no roof in the rain looking up with your mouth open isnt suicide, its just a bad idea. Lord put water in all the powder that i may touch because it aint my coin to flip. Godamn.. life has sucked.. a lot..

Sometimes. Ok wtf most of the time if you let it... But you have felt love and can again and your writing is awesome hopefully someone picks it up and makes music from the poetry. In the meantime look up and read Robert Service (American author/poet) his poems The quitter and another titled Just think. I have no idea why I said all that. Just felt it I guess. Peace brother human being. You can do this it's just life. Just observe it don't try to own it. And you ARE here for a reason.... The reason? To be here at this time whenever wherever you are of course.have a day. Okay? Sorry if you didn't want to know you are not alone in your pain. I have been and find myself there again now so yep life glorious beautiful unpredictable disappointing maddening hurtful life. But hey man you got this!

I’m almost 100 percent sure the guitar is down tuned a half step so it’s playing as though the capo is 3rd fret.
