Im a senior at Tech and a DFW native and now that I'm getting close to leaving I realized how much I love it

I had to move to Mississippi from my home town of Lubbock for a new job a few months ago, and I havnt been able to go visit Lubbock or my family since. This song choked me up, Flatland Calvary is the sound of West Texas! There’s a good chance that the band won’t read this, but if y’all do tell Scott Farris that Cody DuBois from Fox34 says hi!

@@verminscum your right is not as big as Dallas, Houston or hell even Galveston BUT it's still a rather big city. Then again, this is also coming from a guy (me) who has been in small towns for most of his life

I work here in west Texas and being out here for 5 years it feels like home and these songs hit me in the heart and I’m from texas but not Lubbock. It’s amazing to know this talent is from my state. And better yet that I can relate to many of their songs

gosh I knew that I knew that voice from somewhere. Had to go back and look him up. First discovered him a few yeara ago with the song “Tall City Blues” from Flatland Cavalry. One of my favorite country songs of all time.

Please stay true to yourself and true to your style of music and don't get too mainstream with your sound! You have a way of hitting right at people's ears so well. Love this style

Really fine. Beautifully written, well-sung. I've never been to Lubbock, but it's had a place in me since the rise of Buddy Holly in about '57. This song is so evocative, I have a strong sense of the place I've never been.

I HAVE seen a prettier sunset sky. Twice, and they were both in the middle of the pacific off the back of the USS Kitty Hawk. When I was done with that, I came back home.😉

Moved to Lubbock from California this year. FOUND A GEM OF A CITY❤️

Moved here from Ventura during the Pandemic. Was at UCSB, top school, traded for Tech. Love Lubbock. Unfortunately, Tech mandates DEI, so headed to Florida. Too bad. This town rocks.

I hated "Lubbick" in 2019.. I went there to do Buddy Holly hall of performing arts and sciences interior walls..a 1 year project.. I stayed,,3yrs .. Lubbock changed my life. I'm from Georgia beaches folks. West Texas is another world. ( Always count your blessings..even in the moment Lubbock Texas
