Here is the second episode of the ‘Coffee Negroni Three-Ways’ series - the Flat White White Negroni ☕️🥛🍊🥃
This twist on a White Negroni uses a Flat White to clarify the drink, bringing coffee flavour and the silkiest mouthfeel.
FLAT WHITE WHITE NEGRONI RECIPE (makes ~600ml)
- 1x Flat white (19g : 38g espresso, topped up with steamed whole or alternative milk in 150ml cup)
- 4.6g Saline solution (1:5)
- 15g Citric acid solution (1:5)
- 150g Suze
- 150g Cocchi Americano
- 150g Gin (citrus-forward)
Garnish: Grapefruit peel
Method:
1. Brew flat white.
2. In mixing glass, combine saline, citric acid solution, Suze and Cocchi Americano.
3. Pour flat white into large mixing vessel first then add mixed saline, citric acid solution, Suze and Cocchi Americano.
4. Mix and allow to curdle for at least ten minutes.
5. Strain twice through the same coffee filter (the curds will act as a second layer of filtration on second pass).
6. Add 150g gin to clarified mix and bottle.
7. Serve over clear ice with grapefruit twist garnish.
