What a great job! Thanks for the video. I got 2011 Toyota Venza just yesterday, and I did not notice anything about the headlights when purchasing it. But the low and the high beam both does not work. The fuses are checked, the lamps are in working condition too. How do you think, is that the same problem as described in video?

Saludos, la pieza que remuevo lleva un tornillo 10mm hacia el guardalodo. Cuando tome el video ya lo habia sacado. No recuerdo si la Highlander es igual.

Cierto, tiene dos pestañas a cada extremo. Con destornillador por cada lado es mas facil.

So my gray trigger wire has 13 volts when high beams are OFF and 0 volts when high beams are ON. I can not find a wire that is hot when high beams are ON and off when high beams are OFF. Do you think I need a new light module?

Hi. This is because you are testing voltage from ground. Do the same with the test lead to positive. The signal coming from the dimmer switch is negative polarity. If you already check the fuses and bulbs and the high beams don't comes on, the light module would be the problem. Follow the video to do a sucesfully repair.

same process goes for low beams im guessing right ? in mines is the low beams giving me issues

Maybe the same issue. Test the dimmer signal first.

So the problem was with the Light control module/solid state relay/mosfet (for DRL)?

@@efgarcia7354 Is there any way you can help me with this issue on my 2008 highlander? Like type me up a set of instructions as to what wires I need to be messing with. I can't get the vehicle registered and licenses cause it fails safety inspection in my county and state where I live. I can tell you my email if you this its easier to send me any info that can help me do this modification.

Hi, I need more info about your car. HID's low beams or alogen? Also I want to know the trim. At this time the hi beam lights wires of your highlander are the green and yellow, both are side by side before black and brown. The dimmer signal wire is a thin blue one before a brown. Its all I can toll without a pic. Remember, you have to test it correctly, you have to be sure of all connections. I post my email in the description if you need it.

Saludos. Estas en lo correcto. Ese modulo a parte de las luces, controla muchas cosas mas con relays integrados q fallan. Quizas un tecnico en electronica pueda repararla como hice yo con una q no prendia. Pero lo mas facil es comprar el modulo, instalarlo y ya. El jumper del video es para otro problema.

I have been trying to find the signal wire from the dimmer switch but i cant find any,i put the test lead to positive,the bulbs and fuses are ok,i put a positive current directly to the fuses and the high beams lights up,but finding the signal wire from the dimmer switch is where im stucked,pls help

I have an 09 camry here that i tore apart that module with the relays inside. It turns out Toyota used 2 relays for the low beams, and a solid state relay for the high beams

Just took my wife’s 2011 Venza to Toyota to see why the highbeams (not working at all, even after lightbulb change) and headlights(working but seem dull). They say it’s the “ power distribution in fuse box not supplying power to headlights.” Is this the same problem going here?

Hi. Yes I think so, but some test are needed to be sure. Provide power (12v) with testing tool or bare wire to the high beam fuses (from positive terminal of battery directly to high beam fuse) and see if the high beam bulbs comes on. If they comes on you have to do this procedure or buy a brand new junction block.

@@phro321 if you do the procedure with common circuit tester you never notice if the circuit is working properly because the tester lights up with 3v or 12v, but let me know the results.👍

@@efgarcia7354 I don't have the proper testing tools to check this but I can do the bare wire trick. So just take one wire and connect it to the positive side of the battery and touch the other end to one of the high beam fuses on the fuse panel? like number 38 or 39?

Highlander 2008 dimmer switch signal wire is blue, pin E11 2:14 of video. High beam wires are yellow and green, pin B2 and B3 2:43.

Hi. Because the owner of the vehicle agreed to fix the problem quickly and cheaply. He did not want to buy a $250+ junction block that can be damaged over and over again.

@@BadWeatherfreak yes, but the junction block don't have serviceable parts. The lights are controlled by transistors, not relays.
