    Ай бұрын

@@HansPeter.MrUniverse You say nobody wants that, but it depends on how many miles you do. I only do about 2500-3000 in my silly second car (not a Porsche). If it did 30mpg that would cost me about £700 per year in fuel. If it does 20mpg it costs me £1050. Even if you only get 15mpg it's going to cost you an extra £700. £350 per year isn't a big price to pay for the lols. You could buy a much newer, very fuel efficient car, but A) You won't have as much fun and B) You can lose more in depreciation in a couple of years than my entire car cost, including fuel and the occasional unexpected repair bill.

I had a 1978 Porsche 924 (I know VW Porsche but looked good) It needed a new cigarette lighter so I could use my radar detector. Went to Porsche to see what I needed and how much. (Before internet like today) They told me what I needed and was around $60 to $70. They told me to go to the auto parts store and buy a VW one. I did and like $12. I do like how some brands you can interchange the parts and bypass the brand increase in price. I am sure Lexus and Acura do the same.

Ok it's about content creation, but I like the content! The amount of debris in the engine bay was mind blowing. I like to use OPC's as my cars are quite new, but I'm not sure I'd have given them an '07 model as I think a good Indy (and we probably all know one or two of those) would have done the work for a much lower price, depending on how much the standard OPC rate is discounted by for a classic. My thought was that for not much money overall, Matt now has a very nice car. Yes it guzzles gas, but if you don't do many miles or can afford the cost it's a hell of a car!

I've been trying to book my car in with Porsche, and every time, it looks like the soonest availability is always 3 months away. Now I know why, Matt is there mucking around and being in the way 😅

I’m curious if the PCV system is overloading your intake with oil. If so just replacing the intercooler hose would only be a temporary fix.

obviously it will cost more than it is worth, however the cost will be offset a fair amount by a your satisfaction when it is all sorted and also the car will actually be worth more than pre-sorting the issues!
