Very interesting👍🏾 I had hammertoes surgery on 4 of my left toes but the pins began backing out within 2 weeks, then surgeon took out the pins. I still have hammertoes 😩but the idea of the reprogramming the ball of the foot is, indeed, quite a concept‼️Thanks so much for the enlightenment‼️

You're welcome! Did you have anyone help you reprogram your feet after the hammertoe surgery?

You can use a tennis ball instead of a book.

A tennis ball isn't ideal for three reasons: 1- it's unstable so you can't relax your foot to create the movement you're looking for, 2- it causes the bones behind your toes to curve in the opposite direction than you're trying to get them to do 3- you need a rigid surface along which to let your foot lengthen and the soft tennis ball material will prevent the foot getting longer

Thanks for your video! Curious how long it would take to reverse hammertoe. Like… doing it every day for how long? Mine is slowly getting worse because it’s not quite a full hammer toe so I’d like to nip it in the bud.

Almost impossible to say. This exercise is meant for a particular cause of hammertoes but there are many other missing movements in the body that result in hammertoes that need a different strategy. It also depends on how long you've had it, your age and how familiar you are with rewiring movement patterns in your body.

yeah I realized that recently. This is one of my earlier videos when I was figuring out this KZread thing. But it has so many views it would be bad for the algorithm to take it down. I will be remaking it very soon.
