The ABSOLUTE BEST fix. Dealer told me I needed to replace the intake manifold and mass air flow sensor for $1400.00 I installed this part and corrected the problem. I still had to clear the error codes with the scanner but absolutely no check engine light has returned. This part saved me a biden stimulus CHK amount of money.

Great video but you don't have to take the whole unit off just take the bottom bolt out start the engine Push the rotor arm upwards gently with a screwdriver it will pop to fully open with the engine running then simply slip the restrictor into place and secure with the bottom bolt remember to keep the engine running to do it this way

Can confirm this is how I did it. Had to keep the little bolt for the tab loose to get it to fit right.

Got the same error code after hitting roughly the same mileage in my 2012 tdi. Definitely not a car guy and this video helped me fix this over my lunch hour. Super easy, dude. Thank you!!

Never thought a simple little bracket like that could fix this problem so easily. My CEL came on just a few days ago showing the P2015 code and my OCD can't stand to leave the light on for long so I found your video and ordered the part right away. About 20 minutes and the job was done. Getting the arm back on the nub and trying not to lose the damn spring (which I nearly did!) was a bit tricky but it all came back together. Cleared the light and a test drive later, and the light is off! Thanks!

Glad to hear man! Yes the light is super annoying ahah. After using the bracket 2 years + and no light ever came back on for that code. A dealer will charge an arm and a leg to replace the whole intake manifold when this is a full solution

Any chance you can explain how you tightened down the spring before you removed it? I see a lot of people losing the spring and don't want to have that happen. Any tips on how you got that off without losing the spring would be much appreciated. I've also read that losing the spring isn't a big deal as apparently it does nothing?

Hey guys, I have a 2010 VW CC sport (Manual). P2015 has popped up and it’s causing misfire codes to show. What do you suggest?

2011 Audi A4 2.0TDI. Had a few codes including P2015, mechanic fixed wiring etc and went off for a week but came back on. Mechanic now tells me only P2015 is coming on and I need a new intake manifold. He says the motor has failed can't get the motor separately to the manifold. Would this solve it? Surely the motor still would not be working?

You think this would work on my 1.8 TSI? I JUST replaced my intake manifold and its still giving the same code and the EPC with loss of power 😭

I wonder why you unscrewed the upper two screws????? It wasn't necessary when not exchanging the small motor module?

Thanks man! I believe this is only for the metal manifold like mine but they do sell the one for yours and install in highly similar to the one in my video. Should only take you about 20-30 minutes!

Not at all! I drove for a little while with the code and no issues! I was just tired of seeing the light on lol and the fix was cheap and easy. It’s been more than a year and my cel hasn’t turned on once even for a split second

Did you have a horrible lack of performance and trouble starting up when you had this code? My moms CC had this code and she drove on to for about a week or so then driving down the highway all of a sudden it was vibrating and having trouble keeping speed, even slow speed.

Yes I noticed at lower speeds the car would start to bog hard plus worse fuel mileage.. after this install though ive had 0 issues and the car absolutely runs way smoother

I changed it now have codes p2008 and p2017, pulled those up b4 starting car, cleared the codes maybe they were from unplugging it but guess ill see tomorow

Fix we easy. I was briefly confused as the part does not ship ready to install. Need to loosen the bolt on the part and rotate the piece that attaches to the engine and retighten using T-30.

Seen the original diesel geek one and I must say this is better than that haha

It does fix the light and no it’s not really an issue. In the in mail that black flap arm you see there will move to far back causing the light BUT with the bracket it doesn’t allow the arm on the motor to move that far back and keeps it in the correct position so it won’t cause the light or the intake manifold p2015 anymore

Ok so you may have to contact diesel geek. The plastic manifold I believe utilizing a little different style bracket. The install in the same process but the bracket itself changes a bit from the plastic manifold to the aluminum one

i just got this 2017 volkswagon n i took it to auto zone they did a code p2015 n it also readintake manifold gasket was issue

Just had my '14 tdi coded yesterday at Autozone and I got the P2015 code as well. Stressed out over what the possible cost of having the entire intake manifold removed or replaced by a mechanic could be, I wasn't going to just hand over that kind of money without trying to figure out the issue and solution myself first. I have not ordered any part yet but since finding this video and especially after hearing you describe how your engine light was coming on and going off for a period before it finally stayed on which was exactly how mine was acting, this has given me a peace of mind that this is the solution to the problem. But let me ask, if anyone who reads this may know the answer to or if what I'm asking is even a logical question: This "bracket" part that is being installed, is it considered a "quick fix" to just eliminate the CEL or is it the actually the complete remedy for the issue as a whole? Meaning, is there a deeper lying problem/issue/crack/leak or is it just as simple as it being that "lever" springing back too far? Hope I'm making any sense.

No, in Volkswagens and Audis there’s a manufacturing problem with the intake manifold doing this and they started making the intake manifold the new ones to not do this. So there’s not another underlining problem. They’re just a faulty manifold that ends up doing this and this is the fix that they have for it.

Yessir this is covered under the extended warranty. I had one intake manifold replaced under warranty right after I got the car a few months down I got a cel for p2015 so to not have the car down again I went this route and 0 issues since

i have a seat leon mk2 and the damn bolts at the beginning are BEHIND AND NOT ABLE TO GET TO THEM. Anyone found this?

Hi there. I just fixed the bracket on the v157 motor, erased the p2015 error code, but after 20 min is still on. The CEL keeps coming back on. Put brand bew intake manifold and v157 motor with the bracket, but the CEL still coming on after 20 minutes.

That’s unfortunate! Sooo there may be 2 issues persisting to your problem. The most common one is if the spring isn’t seating correctly on the flap of the motor.. sometimes the spring comes out of place causing a code. Another instance would be that it may not be properly tightened all the way down. Now if those 2 things check out to be okay, then you may have an issue with the manifold itself. Possible a lot of gunk and build up causing low efficiency flow

Got it, yes so absolutely make sure the spring is on there properly because that’s a big issue where the spring actually pops off the arm mechanism causing the arm not to move with the spring. It happens

I have a 2010 model passat b6 2.0l tdi, when i look at it, it looks like mine is the opposite way, the screws you are showing here are pointing towards the cockpit. Does anyone have any experience doing this on a car like mine? I wouldn’t be surpriced if i need to remove the entire engine just to access it

Is your A3 diesel or do you have the turbo? I have a 1.8T Golf that I bought this bracket for and I'm EXTREMELY anxious to do it 😂 I've been battling the intake manifold for a few weeks and now I can't take it anywhere without it going into limp mode, so it sits in the driveway waiting for the bracket install and a new flap sensor just in case

VW sometimes like to treat certain things as “unserviceable”. For example the mk6 has ac compressor problems where the valve in the compressor goes bad. Instead of just changing the valve which is a $50 part and fixing it, Vw makes you buy a whole new compressor and such because they say the valve is unserviceable

It did not help for me. I still have the same Error VW2.0 TDI 2008 . :(
