The Problem
P2015 error caused by over rotation of the actuator motor on the intake manifold.
If your vehicle has a P2015 error it is very likely the main dealer will look to fix this issue with a complete new intake manifold which can cost £700+.
The fault however usually lies with the actuator motor on the intake manifold. There is a small plastic limiting stop on the butterfly assembly within the manifold which this motor operates. This is delicate and inevitably wears and causes the actuator motor (V157) to over rotate triggering the P2015 error or associated symptoms.
Our repair bracket can be installed very easily providing a solid limit for the actuator motor- curing this fault for the life of the vehicle. There is no need to replace the complete manifold / actuator motor which would only fail again.
Symptoms of the fault
P2015, Implausible Signal - MIL ON, VAG 8213, P2002, P2009, P2015, P2017. Engine management light lit or limp mode. Intermittent or constant CEL (check engine light) DTC 2968, 18447, 008213, Intake manifold flap position sensor fault.

VAG 2.0 TDI four-cylinder common rail engines 2008 - 2014 with aluminium manifold. Not suitable for V6 TDI or 2.0 Petrol Turbo engines.

Our solution
Fit our unique design bracket and cure this over rotation with a hard stop curing this fault for the life of the vehicle.
Our bracket can be fitted very simply usually in under 15 minutes with basic tools. It simply attaches to the manifold actuator motor and stops the over rotation which causes the fault. Many of our customers have purchased as a preventative measure before the motor fails.
Our part limits the motor to the same range as when it was new. Avoid the cost of a complete new manifold and actuator motor this would only fail again and necessitates the removal of the fuel lines which can cause other issues.
No software (VCDS/ VAG COM) is needed for this repair, check out our instructions and videos, after the bracket is fitted the error will clear on its own.
Our bracket is unique in design, CNC machined from billet aluminium polished then anodised. Our bracket utilises stainless steel fasteners providing the best solution to this common fault.
We also include a replacement spring for the actuator motor as this can often be lost or damage when fitting the bracket. Fit our bracket quickly and simply and cure this common fault.

This is all very well, the three bolts are in a space where I can’t get access to them. I probably need to remove the entire intake manifold which isn’t included in your video. Fitting it on a bench is the easy bit

Right Guys. I own a 2009 Passat 2.0 TDI with the plastic intake manifold. I have just successfully fitted the X8R Bracket "WITHOUT REMOVING THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!" Took about 5 hours, a few tool modifications, removal of the entire air intake box/housing and a "LOT OF CURSING!"

@@SamSam-bf6ir Completely removed Air Breather Box and Battery plus Battery Insulation and Cover. Discnnected/Moved any Pipes or Loom in the way. Then had to modify a Torks Bit to fit into a spanner and then with a lot of patience managed to do it. Ill save ya some trouble however with a link to a guy who does what I did and with a small wrench he bought from Germany which made the job a lot faster for him. Ill go look for it and post a link here so check back....
For others with black pastic manifold having access problems to fit the bracket I have developed a solution that involves changing the hex bolt supplied with the repair bracket for a T30. Other steps may assist you if you can at least get a space above the three motor attachment bolts free so you can get a fine tooth ratchet in there. Shout out if you're one of these folk.

Hi there. I just fixed the bracket on the v157 motor, erased the p2015 error code, but after 20 min is still on. The CEL keeps coming back on. Put brand bew intake manifold and v157 motor with the bracket, but the CEL still coming on after 20 minutes.

and I also install brand new manifold and motor - don't do it
I have an Audi a4 b8 and It’s easier to remove the manifold. Does anyone have any guidance as my fuel economy has gone rubbish after installing this? EML gone off though

I discovered I'm not the only one with a P2017 code after installing a repair bracket and clearing P2015. I have a theory after noticing that the rotation of the actuator lever starts about 20 degrees late. I don't suppose you still have the black plastic manifold in the picture?
