Fishing for Big Trout (Trophies) at Detroit Lake Dam using Bobber and Worm I Oregon Trout Fishing

Ойын-сауық

My friend Frank and I hit the Detroit Lake Dam for a late morning fishing session. We caught a handful of big Trophy Trout using a bobber and worm. Frank caught his limit and I caught 3, so I went to Hoover Campground to complete my 5 fish limit (enjoy some bonus footage at this second location).
We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again.
Thanks for watching!
We hope you enjoy the video!
Stay tuned for the next adventure!

Such a rush! It's about the average sized fish in the lake nowadays with their generous stockings and quality sized fish. Beautiful pink meat too.

Great stuff. I just spent 2 days camping at the lake. Fishing was a bit slow for me but I got fish so I can’t complain

Love the attitude! You're right, can't complain about being out there, let alone catching some fish. We're really wanting to go camping out there this summer.

I saw a short of your hook removal but can't find it anymore. That made me cringe because I've buried a hook in my finger before and I could feel it all over again 😂 Pretty rough place to get hooked. Hope it heals up quickly!

Nice video. Thanks, for making, and taking time to share. How long of rope do you need hooked up to basket to pull fish up? Thank you

Right now only about 30 feet or so. I run 100 feet so I can fish it other times of the year without changing rope out.

During Winter and early Spring you'll need 100-200 or more to get down to the water and we'll try it out this year and early next year 😁🤙

8-12 feet is the range we stick with normally. Occasionally we'll do 5-6 feet or up to 15 feet.
