Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzread.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Anyone else recognize how beast Noah is at casting? So nonchalant yet so deadly.

Bass are absolute troopers, that girl got TORE UP but she was still fighting and surviving. Bet she even went through spawn injured. I love to see how resilient they are.

I did the same thing! Quit for bout 8 yrs an a buddy kept talking about hittin some Northern. Took two days of the thought of landing some monsters an long story short I dropped round $800 in one stop 🤣😆 worth it!!!

The rod snapped because it wasn’t pushed in all the way if it’s a two piece. It’s usually not packed in and seated all the way and when you try and set on a fish it snaps right at that point because it’s weak. I’ve done that before…
