Poor little Ducks... RUN! RUN you silly little Quackers! Can't you see your siblings just disappearing under water never to return? 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🥲🥲

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzread.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Those are some nice Pike, back in the late '90s early 2000s. I used to have my own fishing lure company making spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jigs and hair jigs. My friend and fellow lure maker was making hand carved bird lures for giant fish like the pike you were catching. He had them in Cabela's for a short time.

When I was little kid I used to go fishing in the area around my house. I live in The Netherlands, so there is a lot of canals around to fish. I used to watch the ducklings got picked of one by one during the ducks nesting season by big pike and remember being really impressed (for obvious reasons as anyone can see in your video). This is the first time I see someone fishing with a duck lure though, just awesome. Beautiful fish and enjoyed your video very much. The way you handle your gear and the animals is great, with skill and respect that is. Always nice to see a pro at work.

You have to applaud the overall skill on display here. Not only is he a tremendously fluid and accurate caster with every lure type I've seen him use, but his hook-set reaction is snappy, his demeanor calm, and his fish-fighting skill on point, but he ALSO quite often has to adjust the kayak's direction mid-fight. This is not an easy thing to do. It requires coordination, focus and dexterity. Check it out at 7:35. Great cast, hook set, and fight. The size/power of the fish easily pulls him down stream toward hanging tree branches. He has to keep the fish pinned and maneuver the yak out of the tree path which usually means trapping one side of the paddle under the rod arm while changing direction with the other. This is not the only video where this happens, and occasionally you'll seem him back paddle because the momentum is working against him. A lot of talent on display here 👏🏻. My favorite yak angler on YT. Bravo.

I will never forget growing up on a farm with 2 large ponds, every year the ducks and geese would return. I would take care of the little baby ducks and geese, feeding them bread and clearing debris for them to waddle along the shore more easily. The sad part is, every single time the mother geese and ducks would take them out over the open water, I would watch as 1,2,3 ducklings would get gobbled up by the over abundant turtles in the pond, one day was so bad that the mother duck didn't have any left... It was a harrowing lesson to learn at a young age. I ended up telling my uncle and aunt about what I witnessed. They knew about the turtles and got me a pellet gun to cull them with. Fricken snapping turtles.
