Fishing with Huge Squid as Bait to Catch Something Bigger

I was fishing with Dr. Marwan in the Red Sea in Aqaba, Jordan, using huge squid as bait to catch a larger, more aggressive predator in the ocean. Swordfish love eating squid, and I was shocked to see how easily a swordfish can swallow a giant Humboldt Squid. I was using giant Humbdolt Squid as live bait for the swordfish.

Hey Josh, not trying to be your mother, and I know this is several months old, but I can tell you that since you previously had cancer, you really should protect your hands with gloves. The chance that you get an infection or sepsis is pretty high post cancer treatment and we don't want to see anything happen to you. Talk to your doctor about it. I know you're an adult and you have everything handled, but obviously we want to see you around for a long time. I know gloves suck and theyre hot, uncomfortable, ungainly, etc.

I only just found this channel. You're an absolutely amazing host, and your enthusiasm is contagious. I don't even fish and I couldn't stop watching. There's something very special about being able to get people interested in something they previously had no interest in. And I respect the hell out of wanting to share that. And envy being able to do it for a living. I may have only found your channel today, but I'm glad you beat cancer and are back to living your life to the fullest. I don't know any details about the cancer other than surgery was involved. But I know it's a horrible thing no matter how it goes down.

I remember being out on the party deep sea fishing boats as a kid watching the older/disabled guys use electric reels. Don’t let haters hate, you just had a surgery. It’s about enjoying the sea and the beautiful life we can catch and eat!

I'm glad you're back, Josh. I have to admit that I hate the idea of using cephalopods as bait because they're highly intelligent animals. I've used cut squid myself so it's pretty hypocritical but seeing those big beautiful squid kind of brought it home. But hey, it works.

Lol you'd need an international 120 wide or a giant everol you'd need a mile of line and a huge 30/0 hook and huge cable the big ones can bite clean through wire
