Chris, I am getting so impatient with this unusual weather we are having in Missouri. As soon as warm weather and rains comes I have some exciting new venues for Kayaking. Thanks for the kind words of support and I will be working hard to produce some videos you will like. Thanks again, Jerry

I know how you feel Jerry. The weather has been strange here in kentucky as well. It was 80 degrees for a high Wednesday and I fished yesterday (Thursday) in 30 mph winds and a high of 45. Oh yeah and we had snow Monday!! Never seen it like this that I can remember

I've been snagging a few times and only snagged a couple - we didn't troll - its a hell of a lot of work - especially if you don't have any sonar. That trip you had looks like you all had an awesome set up - looks like a bunch of fun!! Thanks for taking us with you - another great video!!!!

Dewayne, I could never go snagging where they have to manually jerk the hooks repeatedly. At 80 years old trolling is the only way !!!! Anthony's setup is great but too expensive for most people. Anthony however fishes around 300 days a year and many of those days he out takes out a morning and a afternoon group. Thanks for your consistent support of my channel.

Lafoia, Anthony came up with the down-rigger method for snagging several years ago and has perfected the technique. He is able to fill limits for his clients almost every time out. The boat was modified specifically for his techniques of fishing. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking time to comment.

Funny, about the time you were making this video I was discussing going down there and doing it this year. Had a friend that lived on the lake, sadly in the interim he has moved to Kansas and seemingly fell off the map. Someday I may have to make the trip even without him. Live in Oregon, so not exactly a hop, skip, and a jump to get there for me. My Ex lives somewhere in the general neighborhood as well, though I'd rather avoid that. lol

Old man did good job talking and explaining I'm completely new to this were Walleye Saugeye fishermen back before we had boats pond fisherman Bluegill Crappie and Bass and yes we ate the filets in a great family batter might point nose down but I had Fish fry in city and they was fighting over fish we had to calm folk down its real especially down south knows just as good as chicken first they watched me gut and filet the fresh fish saying I like fish but it stinks and they wouldn't eat it that's the child in there minds anything you eat has to get slaughtered but once fish got cooked there sharing and eating everyone wanted more and more crazy...

They swim through the water with their large mouths open and collect zooplankton as a food source. Thanks for the very excellent questions.

Myself, my Dad and Grandfather have snagged spoonbill many many times from bank and boat and never had the need for a gaff,,,,,,why cause more injury to the fish ,,,,,the stress is bad enough,,,,,,,that gaff caused some major bleeding,,,,, and just letting them bounce off the floor when you pull them in,,,,,,i am a country boy and love fishing of all types but,,,,,,,,,WTF !!!

The fish did bleed but gaffing the fish the way he does does not endanger their survival. He does this daily and is very careful to gaff them properly. He gives lectures at Bass Pro to groups explaining the way to properly handle the fish. Thanks for your concern for the fish.
