I think about the only thing I've ever caught in that spillway area at Truman Lake were a series of massive gar. Other parts of the lake have nice largemouth and white bass and crappie, but not the spillway.
Jerry I still would like to see a close up of your set up I am sort of new to trolling and what your boat speed is would also help
Old man did good job talking and explaining I'm completely new to this were Walleye Saugeye fishermen back before we had boats pond fisherman Bluegill Crappie and Bass and yes we ate the filets in a great family batter might point nose down but I had Fish fry in city and they was fighting over fish we had to calm folk down its real especially down south knows just as good as chicken first they watched me gut and filet the fresh fish saying I like fish but it stinks and they wouldn't eat it that's the child in there minds anything you eat has to get slaughtered but once fish got cooked there sharing and eating everyone wanted more and more crazy...
How many fish do they stock in all? I seen a couple videos about this place and there were 200 trout in one tiny spot!
What is the name of his guide service? I would like to hire him this spring. Thanks!
I got some “pinkies” but have never fished them! Great fishing with Bob!
Fun video, thanks for sharing it.
Did you try a spoon on those whites yet? I can bring some 😀
Great to see you out and making new videos. Looking forward to watching another
Awesome video Mr. Jerry!
Thank you and thanks for watching FISH4FUN.
Great video. What once weight were you using Jerry ?
We were using two-ounce trolling weights. That is my "go to" weight for Crank Baits. Thanks for responding.
You guys rock. I hope to get a line wet with you before fall.
Don't weight that long!!!! Although that is the best time. Thanks for responding.
Good to see you back out on the water, Jerry. Seemed like you guys were trying to fill the boat with fish. Think of the time clening. LOL Thanks for the trip
We had two good trips, and then, rain, rain, rain ---------- !!. We will be back out soon if it doesn't rain again. Thanks as always Willilam.
Hello Jerry, I was wondering if you would mind sharing your source of the styrene beads that you use and also how you made your molds. Thanks for your time!!
Looks like fun , what are you coiling your line on ?
How fast are yall trolling
Can you give a general area of the lake? Like Mutton Creek area or Masters area? Not your spot, just an area of the lake. I am just curious. I am mostly a CC area guy and am looking for some other areas to fish.
Can't go fishing much myself I'm too busy
Hello Jerry thank you again for such a neat video. It brings joy to my heart to see your wife back in the boat catching fish and doing what she loves to do with you. I have had that rotator cuff surgery on the 3rd of March and then probably about another month away from going back to work and being able to ride the motorcycle and fishing again. Kind of glad you didn't put out any videos for a while because I would have had the itch to go out and get on a boat anyway which would not be very good for me with this rotator cuff
Hello Jerry. As always I enjoy watching your videos actually got to be in this one. Thank you again for taking me along.
where can i get the crankbait, purple top pearl side and chartreuse bottom
What line and lures were you using? I usually use 10 pound line when trolling. Those looked like Flicker Shad baits.
I use 10 pound most of the time when trolling crank baits. I use a lot of Flicker Shad baits also, but mostly I use them because they are cheap. Lots good lures out there. Thanks for responding.
Looks like a fun day
It is always fun to fish with my wife as well as my buddy Pat. Love fishing storm fronts too. Thanks for coming along and taking time to comment.
Congrats on a Great trip!
Thanks for watching my videos and taking time to comment.
Been thinking about you and Sharon! Those were some beautiful white crappie Jerry! Sharon brought the boat her usual good luck. Tight lines!
Randall, we had to take some time away for health issues and hopefully we will be fishing a lot for the rest of the year. Thanks as usual for your support.
Yeah Jerry!! You can't fool an old fooler like me. I knew immediately when you said Sharon was going that 'THERE WILL BE FISH"!! It looks like you haven't lost the touch. Fishing in poor weather. Catching a NICE mess. Thanks for the trip.
William, hopefully we will be able to fish the rest of the year. We had a tough time for a while. Thanks as always for being there.
Great video. What size trolling weights were you guys running? Im just getting into trolling crankbaits. I ordered a bunch of the Bandit 300's
Awesome video!! Do you mind if I ask which section of river this is?
that boat is sick, would love to know the company that built it for him
Did you keep them.
Nice eating size catfish. I am not big it to bass.
Hey this video just popped up! I thought it was you, im glad to see you enjoying life. Good fishing videos buddy. Caleb Smith
Caleb, just found your response. My wife had some health issues for a couple of months. Good to hear from you.
Nice recap of 2023.Hope Sharon does well with the surgeries.
Thanks Mike, she is looking forward to the knee replacement since her first one came out so well.
Hi Jerry I live all your trout fishing video,s. What's you go to spinner at Bennett Springs? Thank
I went to spinners just for fun. I usually pick out a technique and see what I can learn from it. Just my way of doing things LOL.
Great recap video Mr. Jerry. Hope your wife is better soon.
We are very optimistic about the surgery since her first knee replacement came out well.
MY favorite is the trout fishing. Hope you have a wonderful year Jerry.
I plan to do more trout fishing videos since I receive a lot of feedback from them. Got to wait until after my wives surgery though.
Thanks for taking us along, and I hope your wife has a speedy recovery.
Yes, thank you for caring.
Man they had some fancy boats back in 1923 LOL . I know you mean 2023 , but the fishing was good . Hope all goes well for your wife thoughts & prayers to her and you .
You caught that too!!!! Thanks Mike.
Hey Jerry,- - I've been along on all of these trips, and sitting here watching them again just makes me twitchy to get out. It's too cold for that right now so I'll get another cuppa and just sit and reflect. Thanks for all of great outings. Get healthier and get Sharon back out in the sun when you can.
She is anxious to get it over with but she is also optimistic since the first one went will. Thanks William.
I’m from Illinois I am 12 my grandpa Nyle has a cabin down there and we take a trip every once in awhile and I thought it was ironic that you went fishing where I caught my limit in 5 minutes and one the thing about that spot is I caught a 4 pounder right where you went in. I also want you to know where you walked In there is a good rock to clean your fish
You are very observant. I would be nice if we could meet there some time. Thanks for taking time to comment.
You were saying it is a lot of work. That's the work we like. I'm just a long for the trip.
It is what I call "fun work." If we had to work that much we would quit fishing LOL. Thanks Patrick.
What an ingenious idea. Great idea to deal with the low water leave issues.
You learn a few things from 80 years of fishing!!!!!
WoW, it that a MItchell 300 your fishing with ?
It is a Mitchel 308. I have over 50 308 and 408 reels. Best reel ever made if you fish without bail, which I do. You are very observant. Thanks for responding.
Nice, had a 300 when I was a kid, 65 years ago, lol@@jerryrouth6115
Hey Jerry…great video thanks
Thanks for responding. These were the best White Bass we ever caught and they were both caught on the same day.
I like your videos but wish you would include more info. like general location lure type boat speed. Just a thought
Warren, I should do that but I am just not that good at what I do. I fish for fun and often do things not in the best way but rather just my way. Thanks and I am trying to do more of what you want.

Merry Christmas Jerry.
I love any boat you can throw in the back of a truck. Great stuff for sure. Id love to get out there with yall and learn some things from you! Godbless
I frequently go fishing with my viewers. And, agree with you. The simplest way is almost always the most fun. Thanks for responding.
Thanks for another great video sir. Harold Ensley doesnt have a thing on you. How is your wife doing these days? Take care and have a great Christmas.
Harold was something else. He used only the visual media and did a live voice-over. Maybe I should do that? It would be faster and easier. My wife has a broken foot on top of everything else! She is due for another knee replacement after Christmas. Then, hopefully, she will be ready for fishing and golfing by spring. Thanks for being a great viewer.
Nice video 👍
Thanks and thanks for coming along.
