Yes, I watched hundreds of reactions, and that comment was unexpected and funny. But let's not forget Mr. Anderson has a "parallel life," like Smith said, as a hacker and a drug dealer, so he is not such a pussy. Maybe during the day, yes. But at night, all cats are gray, as they say.

@@richardscales9560 thats because they used a "real world" approach to the matrix virtuality. There are nothing futuristic about it, besides the bullet time and the 360 degree shots. Also, they used older objects (like the TV where Morpheus shows the real world) than those being used in 1999. Therefore, nobody will notice that it was outdated, it simple feels "vintage". Also, the movie assumes that mankind was stuck with the tech from that era, when machines took over, so it is understandable that they use gear and hardware from that period, and not something newer.

My favorite movie! Every time I watch it, I realize something new. The reason why Agent Smith says, "No, Lieutenant. Your men are already dead." is because Smith didn't transform into one of the officers. He knows they are already dead because he didn't transform. That's the same reason why Switch pulls a gun on Neo at the Adam's Street Bridge. If Neo started to transform, they would have to shoot him. Also, the reason why Cypher says that all he sees is a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead is because he was directly looking at the restaurant where he was meeting with Smith, and in the restaurant are a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead. That's why Cypher was so spooked when Neo showed up. Cypher was planning out his meeting right at that moment. Edit: Also when Trinity gets out of the phone booth in the beginning of the movie, one of the agents says, "The informant is real." The informant was Cypher. Cypher was the reason for the opening scene. "Are you sure this line is clean?"

Loved your reaction :) But before reacting to matrix 2 reloaded, you really MUST react to the animatrix. These are 9 shorts stories on the matrix universe who helps to understand it and to elarge the universe and the lore : -The second Renaissance : It's a matrix prequel which tells what happened between humans and machines and why the matrix was created -A kid's story : Origin story of a new character in matrix 2 & 3 -Last flight of the Osiris : It's an introduction to matrix reloaded, litterally a couple of hours before. Btw, and unfortunetly, Tank (the operator) won't be on matrix 2 & 3 because the actor had schedules issues. Btw, matrix 2 (reloaded) and matrix 3 (revolutions) are actually a 4 hours film cut in two parts (they were shot back to back) and this is why they were both released the same year with only a 6 months gap. So to be more clear, this is the right order to watch the matrix franchise : - The matrix (1999) - The animatrix (2003) - The matrix reloaded (2003) - The matrix revolutions (2003) Sorry for my bad english and the long comment :)

I've thought about this a lot. If someone said "I went fishing today", we instantly learn. If we watch a movie, we learn the plot. How is this any different than downloading information? But our brain apparently doesn't work that way. We forget names and phone numbers. Yet we can memorize an entire script, we remember something from our lives 10 years ago. The brain is simultaneously brilliant and dumb.

I don't understand how the writers/directors couldn't figure out how to do the timing better with Trinity taking her sweet time in the underpass instead of picking up the phone! And getting the end timing better with Squiddys already tearing open the roof of the Ship, yet Neo still takes ages to stop bullets, dive into agent before getting to phone!! EVERY person on planet Earth feels these two stupid ridiculous timing mistakes should have been done better, yet the focus groups and all the film studio people/actors in the screening apparently had no frustration or problem with these two glaring film errors! Apart from those two pretty significant points! It's forever going to be a historic groundbreaking Sci-Fi Masterpiece. 😮

The reason it's easier to wake up if you're younger as Morpheus eludes to when he says we don't unplug someone after a certain age, is cause the older a person is the more illusionary crap they have attached to, and it's harder to realize everything you held onto was bs. Imagine a tree, it's easier to uproot a small tree then to uproot a great red oak that's been around for 100+ years. If you were a kid and you were shown the truth you would be like oh so the past few years was wrong phew thanks for saving me from going my whole life being wrong, where as if you try and tell a 50 year old their entire life was an illusion and false, they will call you crazy and die attaching to their delusions rather then accept they were wrong, they can't even handle the notion of "what if I was actually wrong my whole life!" that thought causes a paralysis, and terrifies them so they would rather go down with the ship then jump off the sinking ship.

I'm surprised that you're surprised when a beloved classic movie turns out to be good. I mean, we all love those movies because they're good, right? Now, when you go watch a "cult classic" which, by definition, is recognized as not being exceptionally good BUT has a large following of fans anyway, then you might become one of the cult and love it, or you might find it's not really to your liking. The Matrix is not a cult film. It's just plain good, as well as ground-breaking for the technology used to make it at the time it was made (the scene where Neo dodges those bullets as the camera moves around him was the most expensive scene ever filmed).

Guys think like that, you will answer all your questions.. The Matrix is a computer system like Window or Linux.. Every people that inside in matrix are like normal files at that windows/Linux.. Agents is created by machines just like that system (Just like that world named matrix.) Agents are som kind of Anti Virus programs.. Their job is finding virusses and delete them..Just like in the computer.. That world at beginning is actually a computer..We were inside at computer at the beginning. We thought Neo was living at the normal world but he were not.. So who are virusses.? Of course, any file try to change that system codes are virusses.. For example our crew. They jump so much, they are unnaturally fast etc. They change that Matrix codes (like gravity codes or speed limit codes) Because of this our crew is lik virusses in that system.. İn the Matrix.. In that world you saw.. So Agents are try to find virusses and try to delete them ( kill) ... Also every body in that matrix are programs or regular people mind that their body is slave..

I get how you feel about worrying you're not going to like something that everybody else enjoys. But just think about it this way: if everyone loves something "classic", then that must mean it appeals to the masses, and you have to ask yourself (or know this about yourself) "am I part of the masses?" are you a normie just like everyone else. If you are, chances are good that you will enjoy it. But it requires being honest with yourself and accepting that you're not "special" in the sense that you'll be one of the few exceptions who doesn't like this movie. It's okay to be normal. Most people are. That's why there's a bell curve.

You say this didn't have to happen, that Cypher chose to betray them. However is that true? The point was Fate had planned everything, and that there is no control. Just like how it was Fate for Neo to be found, it was Fate for Cypher to betray them. The thing about Fate is, regardless of if you believe in it or not, it's still there. Truth and belief are not the same thing and never will be. You can either live a life operating off belief in which case you will never know truth, or you can live a live operating off truth, in which case you will never believe in anything.

appreciating new things just comes with age. Sometimes people are too young to relate or understand to subjects beyond their own special interests. You have to hit a point where you "want" to get into something. Maybe you never liked music. Or only liked 90's stuff. And then one day something new piques your interest. "Huh. That was a pretty cool jingle. Who sang that? Maybe i'll look more into that. Oh wow, they sang that too? Hey, look at this other band during this era. They're kind of like them but a bit different. I like some of those songs too... Stuff like this hits especially after high school. In school you're forced to learn so it makes you not really want to. When you've got some free time and you're just up for something different you kind of start looking to learn new things or at least try to understand why so many people like x y or z while you never did. All of those people can't be wrong? Maybe there's something about it that you just don't understand yet to be able to appreciate what they see in it. Welcome to the road to being an old fart :p

I saw The Matrix in theaters and from the first moment I saw it, it has been one of my favorite films. I consider it a masterpiece.....EXCEPT the end. To this day I hate the ending. Neo was waiting for Trinity to kiss him to accept being The One?!? Comon man. That is really weak writing to have "she loves me" bring Neo back to life. Hate it. Now I love the sequence after he gets up when he starts to fight Smith with such ease he just turns to the side and blocks everything with one hand. That might be my favorite scene in the whole movie. I can still hear the "OHHHH!!" from the crowd in the theater when he did that in my head. But they ruin it again with him flying. HATE THAT. I hate when they OP heroes. They are so much more intriguing when they have weaknesses and flaws and have go beat foes and situations despite them. The moment they had NEO fly he became Superman. And well....SUPERMAN SUCKS because of the very reasons I stated. Heroes that can't be beaten are b o r i n g.

2:26 Just you know, back then it was the first movie using that kind of moving/not moving effect. It was crazy back then. 23:37 Fun fact, we don't see colors. Actually colors don't really exist in the physical world. Light hit an object and reflect a frequency and depending on what frequency it is your brain interpret that has representation of a color and we agree with each other to say it's "red". Well, now I want to watch the 2 and 3 even if it is what it is. I'll wait for your react. :)

The "Bullet time" effect was revolutionary, but became copied so much in the few years after people started claiming it wasn't even new in the Matrix itself anymore … There was only a music video which did a precursor effect of this by morphing together multiple photos taken at the same time: Smoke City - "Underwater Love" And yes, it gets harder to accept changes the more you have to lose, even if it was built on misconceptions or lies - look at religions, ideologies, etc. There are very few people around who would accept the total truth of the universe, whatever it might be. Cypher wasn't one of them. (I try to convince myself I would handle it better …)

When things out there suck I think to myself... at least I live in a day and age where A/C exists. Humans have walked the earth for over 100,000 years and yet only in the last 70 has it been possible to enjoy A/C. Prior to that everyone had to sweat their balls off every summer. And we have McD's or any number of other places where you can just pull up, get some quick tasty food. I don't have to cook or clean or hunt or eat grubs off the forrest floor or exert myself in anyway for it. I get to sleep in a nice bed not made of straw. I've got TV and now KZread lol. Free new video games I never heard of before at the tap of my finger. People would just stare at a wall back in the day. lol. They'd rather work cause there was litteraly nothing else to do. I know a lot of people are struggling with money these days but just think about this. I'd rather be broke and starving then to ever have to live through a time of a huge war. Imagine being forced to enlist and two weeks later you're sitting in a trench somewhere far away from home where every waking moment of your day you're being told what to do living in deplorable conditions wondering if you're gonna get snipped or blown up or something. Yeah.. I'll work that 40 hour grind and hate my job please. Ty.AA

The AI they refer to as being the catalyst for everything is true AI in the world of this movie, we have yet to create true AI in real life though, currently all the things we refer to as "AI" arent actually that but machine learning that takes learned user input to generate responses that sound human

I love your reaction on Matrix1! Back in the year 1999, for me at least, this was and still is, mind-blowing movie.😮Matrix2 and Matrix3 are not really good ending of trilogy, but we have matrix4, and...maybe matrix5?! There is only one answer on this question: "Matrix has you..."😏 Hello from Serbia 🇷🇸!

The Matrix is a divisive franchise. For some, it's a standalone movie, for others, it's the first part of a trilogy. Personally I love the entire franchise, but the OG movie is the best. For me, it's well worth checking out the rest of the trilogy, if you're invested in the world / concept etc. There's also the Animatrix, which is a movie length collection of short animated stories from the best animators in the world, all in their own styles, filling in the gaps between our reality, and the 2199 reality of this movie. There's also the latest Matrix Resurrections, which again, I can see why people hate it, it won me over by the end. They all get your noggin' joggin', and leave you mulling it over for a LONG time afterwards. I first saw it in 1999. I NEVER watch end credits. I sat speechless during several minutes of credits, trying to figure out what I'd just watched. I NEVER watch a movie again, straight after watching it the first time. I did that with the Matrix. It's a franchise that constantly asks you questions. The more you watch them, the more you grok the layers of storytelling, and the more details you notice. It's why this franchise is PERFECT for reaction channels. No matter how many times you've seen them, you still want to see OTHER people, trying to figure it out as they watch it.

think about this... the movie is 1/4 of a century old... they had to "invent" a whole new way of filming for this movie. also the scene in the building just before they rescue morphius they shot in 1 take....one of the most visually stunning movies of all time.
