They truly don't make feel good movies like they used to in the 80s and 90s. I'm so glad I grew up in the time I did (born in 84). This is one of my fave cozy Fall movies. Great reaction!

I adore Practical Magic. Definitely a feel good movie. Really glad you enjoyed and connected with it. The soundtrack is fantastic, the cast is gorgeous, and the messages are powerful. Jimmy lingering after his death is a great metaphor for how toxic love can seep deeper into our lives than we realize.

Girl I know that struggle. I've had my fair share with friends that weren't friends, abusive relationships, long long long bouts of depression, anxiety over my anxiety, and multiple ptsd moments. I want to tell you that I see you. I see your heart and your soul. Who I see is beautiful. While listen to Ms Badu, might I suggest Ms India Irie. I can't wait for your Craft reaction

One of my comfort movies ;) so well made, too! It really resonated with me when you spoke about choosing a lifestyle that wasn't for you and realising it was a waste of time and that it didn't fill the void. I think that although for different reasons, we all feel that way by the end of our twenties (I've just turned 28). We are told that youth should be like this and that, but I think it's almost essential for each individual to waste some time and make some wrong choices to realise what we really want in life or what we need to change...it's strange and twisted but it's true! I still haven't met anyone who by the age of 30 doesn't feel like they should've made better choices/should've done this and not that/should've not wasted so much time/should've understood it sooner/should've focused on this or that aspect of their lives... *I've really come to the conclusion that our youth is made to learn from our mistakes. Aaand we need to forgive ourselves.* Anyway, I hope you're feeling better and I wish you the best :)

I watched this movie for the first time this afternoon and absolutely adored it. Your commentary was great. And I agree as a fellow '90s kid: That decade was the best, and there's just something about it we'll never quite recapture, but we can remember fondly. Also, glad you came out in this video as a witch. I'm one, too. Blessed be, sister!

I've been watching a lot of reactions lately, and was just recently reminded of this movie, so I searched for a reaction and found yours. I loved watching with you! I'm a guy, and I totally identify with the sisters in this film. There are a few parts that always make me choke up. When she's begging her aunts to bring back her husband, and when the detective says "I wished for you too" are the big ones. Thanks for this reaction, I'm going to see what else you've posted now!

A moment that's small but no one seems to notice, in the kitchen before he flips the pancake him and Sally are humming the same song, such a nice touch cause it's also apart of her spell as a kid. And the moment she's saying no no and the camera cuts to him, he heard her call a mile away. Like every part of that spell is referenced & it's just great writing, so subtle a lot of reactors don't notice it And he was riding the horse backwards as a kid and the star as his talisman

I love Practical Magic. I was so much into witchcraft and esoterism as a teenager, and Practical Magic was one of my comfort movies (as well as The Craft, that you should definitely check out if you haven''t yet, it's an amazing 90's movie). Oh, if you love Sandra Bullock, you should definitely watch All about Steve. Her characters has so many autistic traits in this movie, and while it hasn't been well received by general audience, I feel that it's a movie that has a lot of heart.

This movies is one of my favorites. If you ever get the chance to read it, I would recommend Alice Hoffman’s novel of the same title, on which this film is based. Alice Hoffman has a remarkable writing style in her novels. She can make magic seem commonplace and expected and to show us the magic in something homespun and mundane.

I’m so happy to find your reaction cos I don’t actually see/know a lot of people watching this. If you like reading, I highly recommend the book. There are some differences but I feel the overall tone and message is the same. Im def gonna check out more of your videos. Just from this reaction, you’re so calming and receptive, something gentle and inviting. I love it!

I am also the opposite of my sister. And our mother always said "what the one has too much of the other has too little". Its all about balance and learning from each other. I was the sally. If you are a caring person, you care what others think of you and you try to please others...to fit in. But keeping your head down and not make waves limits you from...being you. You gotta be bold sometimes. With age you learn to care a little less about others and more about yourself and you dare to claim your space in life. You don't need to be perfect or to be liked, but you have to be yourself in life. To be yourself and to express it to the world. My younger sister is the life of the party, all about doing what she wants. Until she dated a narc. She calmed down with age.

It's so funny when the Aunt Jillian character is talking to Kylie about love and putting her arms out and spinning round and round. When you watch reactions to this movie The men react so differently to that scene than the women do. A lot of the men say, "Bah, that's not what love is like." While the women are like, "Oh yeah! That's exactly what love is like." It's funny.

I like your commentary! Women are so judged no matter what choice we make… especially now it seems, if anything “traditional” is selected. Or anything that is popular with (especially) younger girls- boy bands or love movies (things like Twilight )… people love to shit on things women tend to like! Crazy annoying and so unfair to women, and something to make sure we are not a part of, tearing each other down. Support !!! The weird non-support thing needs to end !!!

This is one of my top 10 fall movies. The hint of green everywhere in the movie and the kitchen are my favourite. I think you missed the part where the officer said they believe Jimmy killed and branded another girl. He showed the sisters the photos. In the book, which is darker the daughters are older. I'm glad they aged them down and kept it more light hearted.

You mentioned first seeing Sandra Bullock in Speed. That WAS the first movie she ever did. It's like when I discovered watching "Once Bitten" as a kid that it was Jim Carry's first movie. It's one of those little facts that doesn't do much if you knew growing up, but learn to appreciate as an adult having lived with these actors stories for so long. Also, if you're going the romantic comedy route, Sandra Bullock killed it in "While You Were Sleeping", also from the 90's.

I’m late to the game here. Not sure if you’ll see this. Sweetheart, I understand dark days like you can’t imagine. I’ve been hospitalized for bipolar depression and anxiety. Dealing with it since I was 12, I’m now 51. ANYWAY, a show that is WONDERFUL for getting rid of the blues is a show called Psych staring James Roday and Dule Hill. There was a two year period that it was the only thing that could make me smile……even though I’ve seen each episode at least 75 times now over the years. I highly recommend it, it helped when my meds weren’t really doing the trick. Watch 2 episodes of Psych and call me in the morning. Chin up. 😉🙏

Born in 95, you wouldn't. Granted, you only have a childs-eye view of it so it's not a complete picture, but it's great to be born in a year that ends in "0" isn't it? 😊

Hollywood doesn't do a good job depicting it. It usually comes off as macho bullshit. So. Maybe this movie isn't about women. It's about people. And the connections that we have (magical: maybe).
