I agree, Ashley was deeply into the end part and Lindsey just waffled on about nothing. She could not understand that it was an important scene for the other's watching. But please don't get me wrong I love Lyndsey she brings so much to this amazing trio...... It just was not her best moment.

@@Rasperdan sure, Lyndsey's personality is great. The problem is that this show is unique. The episodes are not independent from each other like basically every other show. On 99.5% of the shows you can figure things out just by watching and not listening. GoT is a beast of a show. Even when you don't talk at all you can get lost. "wow!" or "WTF!" are to me great reactions. Mouth opened for long periods of time too :)

Lyndsey said "there is no dialogue" ? then I looked at her T-shirt and thought... aww bless her. The reason for my comment was I agree.... Ashley is the Official Susher lol. I think she has totally embraces she show. I hope Stefani will give Lyndsey a kiss on the cheek for me and tell her she is amazing :)

There's a darker theory - that Miri switched their souls. So Drogo went into the dying horse and the horse went into Drogo but had no control over the body.

Arya is going north with the new recruits for The Watch. The King’s Road, which goes all the way north to the wall, passes right by Winterfell (Arya’s home). If you stop and think about it for a few moments, Joren (the recruiter) is not intending to bring her to the wall, but to take her to Winterfell.

When Yoren tells the group of new recruits for the Night's Watch that it's "a thousand leagues to the wall", I don't think many reactors understand just how far that is. One league is about three miles -- so they're embarking on a THREE THOUSAND MILE hike to the Wall! That like traveling from the west coast of the U.S. all the way across to the East coast -- on what appears to be a slow march with a few horses and wagons! That's a ridiculously long journey that would take them months!

i started after season 6 and waiting for the next 2 seasons were literal torture.

Lancel is the son of uncle Kevan Lannister. He was the older gentleman who said in the meeting of Lord Tywin Lannister’s war council that the war was “a catastrophe.” right before Tywin told everyone to get out.

They had to skip a year because GRRM didnt finish the next book so he asked HBO to skip a year to give him time to finish the book... meanwhile 10 years later he still hasnt finished that same book.

Wouldn't it be more fascinating and exciting to find out where the line (on the merch) comes from while watching the show and not be able to presume the moment it gets revealed ?! :) Therefore I would suggest a few, more subtle ones :) - "Power is power" (Cersei) - “Anyone can be killed” (Arya) ... which is, on top, a good hint about the whole show :) - “You know nothing, Jon Snow." (Ygritte) - "The worst ones always live" (Sansa)

They have shared kinetic mind to a certain extent. Dragons and their "master" can somewhat shares some level of emotions together. Here's a couple I've never heard of before: Pig Shit (green poop emoji?), The Queen Mustn't Know, or "Turn Back Around" (best Ygritte line ever). Great moments which, out of context, spoil nothing.

By all means build up as much hate in your heart as you can ladies, but be sparing in how you dish it out just yet: you'll need plenty to go round, and you may need a top-up before the end of the series... Random non-spoiler notes: The reason the dragon eggs hatched was (probably) the combination of a Targaryen (they have a blood/magical connection to dragons), the fire, and the sacrifice of three lives: Khal Drogo, Miri Maz Dur (the "witch") and Danni's baby. Remember what Miri said? "Only death pays for life". The sacrifice of Drogo's horse earlier (probably) wasn't enough to do more than bring him back as a vegetable because it wasn't human. Ever since the dragons died out Targaryen kings have been trying to crack the secret of hatching dragon eggs: Danni seems ot have hit on the right formula by instinct (or was it destiny...?) Danny's baby being a still-born human/dragon hybris isn't unusual amongst Targaryen women. As I said, they have a blood/hereditary/magical connection to the dragons which is never fully explained but much speculated about. The books have quite the trail of breadcrumbs to figure out roughly what's going on with them, but it doesn't impact the show (GoT at least: HOTD is another matter). Widows burning themselves on their husband's funeral pyres, whether by choice or force, was a real thing in several cultures in history. It was very prevalent in pre-colonial India, where it was called Suttee. The British put a stop to that very firmly once they'd taken control of India.

Deleted scene so not really a spoiler but something they didn't feel like pushing further . The Maester and the whore scene...a deleted scene where Tywin calls him out for faking being a fool and The Maester explains exactly your theory and he uses it to survive all these snakes in the capital. So yes he's faking being foolish and hunched over. Weird to leave this scene in but not the later one.

40:47 They were actually almost exactly released a year apart until the final season which was 2 years after season 7. So watching it from season 1 you at least knew you only had a year to wait, or for those of us who like to wait until a season is completely finished before binging it on DVR, 14 months.

My sweet summer children, you may recall Ser Alliser Thorne giving some stern advice to Jon and Sam in one of the earlier episodes of season 1 (ep.4 or 5). He said something along these lines to the two boys: "Pretty soon you will be passed onto the Lord Commander to be sworn into the Nightwatch. You will be called men of the Nightwatch, but you'd be fools to believe it and, come the winter, you will die like flies." You are the children of summer and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Embrace and enjoy it, for you will miss it when it's gone.

Season 2 merch could be wildfire themed since its the first time it’s introduced and thats one of the big things that happens.

After this episode, I was completely in love with Game of Thrones ❤

There was a King on the North before the Targaryans came with thier Dragons, and made the Starks bend the knee. With the Targaryans gone, they have no fealty to the south.

Great job on Steph keeping a straight face thru all of this. It must be hard! As for A and L, you can take off the SSC shirts, unless you are saving them for something else, say when the Red Wine flows?

Need to do a shirt with all of Dani’s names… so many come up in the season and end it with mother of dragons.

Yeah, lol... I got in pretty late to the show and felt pretty spoiled; I didn't have to wait a year for the next episode, much less a week(!). What killed me was knowing these episode's came out on a Sunday NIGHT. How are you supposed to go to sleep after that?! Sure there'd be lots to talk about once you got to work, but having to drag oneself in that next day, lol. Loved this watchalong with y'all, can't wait for more.

19:42 i mean marrying your cousin was pretty acceptable not that long ago and it certainly is in the GoT world. Tywin and Joanna (papa and mama Lannister) were first cousins. Ned's grandparents were first cousins. I'm sure there are other examples too, but those two came to mind.

I've probably seen this episode 5 times, (..and it's probably the 10th time watching the "birth of the Dragons", due to KZread 😋): but I STILL get GOOSEBUMPS, watching "a baby dragon" spread his wings and "sing" on his "mama's" shoulder. One of the BEST season finales, in TV history. 😘 Ps...I just Edited, because I said something, that might have been a "spoiler"... lol (Hope that the "Summer Children", didn't read my post, before I could change it) ❤
