GoT sfx disclaimer: There were no wolves harmed in the filming of this episode.... but one actor is dead
this is my absolute favorite movie
Lysa is actually one of the most tragic characters. Theres a LOT of backstory in the books to her insanity. Unfortunately, that level of detail is not something the show could ever realistically explore for a tertiary character. But yea, her father, her 1st husband, and littlefinger manipulated her from a very young age into madness.
Fun fact: The Actor playing Podrick is actually a very good horseman. And apparently pretending to act as though he was useless on a horse was really difficult because the horse knew he was alright.
🤣🤣🤣
Wonderful reaction! I just found this channel
Welcome aboard!!
Margaery is 15 or 16 years old at the beginning of the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Renly shows her portrait to Ned in A Game of Thrones and remarks how he believes Margaery looks like Lyanna at that age (16). Joffrey is about a year younger than Robb and Jon who are 14 at the beginning of the novels, making him 12 or 13 - about a year older than Sansa (11 or 12). Tommen is 7 at the beginning of the story. Tommen and Margaery wed about two years later at 8 or 9 and 17 or 18, respectively. The show, however, aged all the characters up a few years but there is some timeline discrepancy. Tommen's actor in the early seasons (Callum Wharry) was far younger than his season 4 replacement (Dean-Charles Chapman). If I had to guess, I'd say Natalie Dormer's Margaery is somewhere around 20, Jack Gleeson's Joffrey is probably about 17 or 18, and Tommen SEEMS to be closer to 15 or 16. That doesn't track with Sansa's age though. The writers seem to have kept Sansa, who logically should be older than Tommen, younger than we originally assumed as she tells Tyrion she's 14 when they're married. Fourteen would be book-accurate but doesn't make sense in the show's universe. I think the writers kept her 14 purely for shock value.
I think I read somewhere that Natalie Dormer was closer to 30, and Jack Gleason was in his 20s ☺️ they just have baby faces!
@@MugShotzReacts Oh, yes for sure. The actors were much older. But I think the characters were still younger.
lovely reaction🌀
40:04 best moment of this episode🌀
The direwolves in the Book's are very important just like the Dragon's and with the exception of Sansa all of the Stark Children can warg into their wolves, not just Bran.
The whole reason the for the conflict between the Lannisters and the Starks happen because of Little Finger. Also in the first season everyone assumes it was Jamie who arranges the assassination attempt on Bran but it's actually Little Finger with Joffrey and Joffrey's motivation for wanting Bran dead was because he got slapped by Tyrion for not visiting him when he's was in a coma.
Littlefinger wasn't at Winterfell for any of this. He was in King's Landing.
I like how everyone is blown away by how many god's there are. But it's no different to real life. There's so many it's kinda nuts. And the main cause of wars and sh*t. It's just different gods.
Glad to see y'all back. I was concerned the cancer had turned worse. Love to all three of you and your loved ones.
We’ve been posting every Saturday! Are you not getting notifications??
@@MugShotzReacts I'm subscribed and check my subscribe feed regularly.. and your videos always make it to the top of the watch playlist I meant that I feel like videos were coming out several times a week early on and I noticed the slowdown... but I'll live with once a week. Just excited to see videos from you three... it's always a delight.. and a delight to see Odin
I never did understand the masked woman talking to Norah. That's the only time you see her and never find out who she is. Or am I missing that part?xx
her name's Quaithe. she has more significance in the books, but in the show she's just a loose thread that never went anywhere (just one among many, many others lol)
“I saw Snow fall and bury your bones.” Such a great line.
Haunting!
34:00 Stef Ashley is soooooooooo cancelled XD
13:35 I feel attacked! Lindsay XD
The Mountain would do everything that happened in the books to the Boltons and their people. Hope Roose likes rabbit.
The show did th their best to make Jaime a terrible swordsman but the books know his quality.
Yes they have dragon blood; Robert, Stannis, Renly are second cousins to Dany. Their father was first cousin to Ayres. The first Baratheon was half-brother to King Aegon and his sisters.
Ashley made me laugh so many times this episode, definitely one of the best so far. And I completely agree with her about Littlefinger, I never hated him. He's awful, but his character is so intriguing and elevates the story. I also want to wish Lindsay the absolute best with her health!
Hello ladies! I know this was filmed ages ago, and we've seen you all in a livestream since. I can only imagine how much better Lindsay is feeling today, after the clear improvement between them. Fighting through chemo is a BIATCH and Lindsay you have my admiration and respect for refusing to stay down. Continued props to Ashley for reading the show so well, and Stefani your cat herding skills are fabulous 😁
Do you ever watch South park? If Lindsay ever needs some inspiration and motivation, or just a good laugh, there's an episode called "the breast cancer show ever". In typical South park fashion, some of the jokes are distasteful and mildly offensive, but the message is powerful and important to hear: You have to be willing to fight cancer with everything you have. It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, you fight because you refuse to let cancer make you feel powerless.
In the book the Locke character got a more gruesome death. He was in command at Harrenhal for a while and ends up imprisoned by the Mountain, chopped up and fed to himself over several weeks.
I really enjoyed Ashley's discussion of why she doesn't hate some of the 'villians', and why she's intrigued. GRRM really could write some of the best political intrigue ever and make the audience need to know the what/why even if the how was horrible. Can't wait to see Ashley's discussion to the payoffs in 'future events'! Sending some positive vibes to Lindsay! That sweater looks damn comfy even now as I'm melting at the temps across the country this time of year.
I’m glad Ghost is reunited with Jon but I don’t know why the rebels would have kept the wolf alive. The Freys immediately killed Robb’s wolf. Keeping a dangerous animal alive 26:44 that is loyal to your enemy doesn’t make much sense
All of a sudden Cersei don't seem so bad in Sansas eyes anymore...
Gosh I can’t wait for them to be able to watch HOTD!! & sending so much love your way Lindsay, you will beat cancers ass! I know it ❤️
27:20 touche 🌀 ill drink to that great reaction
Like many of us did when we 1st were working out who killed Jeffrey and how, please get them (Ash & Lindsay) to go back and review the Wedding scenes, focusing on Lady Olena - while her role in Joffrey's death is not clearly shown, it does show when she potentially accessed the poison in the necklace ... I think most people went back to try and put the pieces together
There are other settlements North of the wall, abandoned by wildlings who went to join Mance. Craster's harem could use them, or go join Mance with the other wildlings.
he refused the throne because he's blind; he didn't think it would be right wise and just for a blind person to sit on the throne and rule
“It was Littlefinger all along” (sung to the tune of “Agatha all Along”)
They bring up a good point about it not being clear why Bran was so intent on finding Bloodraven, in the books it was explicit how he’d manipulated Bran into believing he would restore the use of his legs. On reflection D&D really shied away from lore whenever possible as opposed to HOTD where Ryan Condal is actually adding to lore…
Once you're done with the whole series I hope you get a chance to rewatch season 1 with new eyes. Little Finger's scheming since episode 1, with that letter to Cat. He's such a great villain.
Is it just me.. or didn’t Cersei say if Margery called her ‘mother’ again she’d have her “Strangled in her sleep” I think her words were
"Burn them". Oh ,we have a young mad Targaryian queen in the making.
hordor didn't want to kill. bran killing through hordor was pure evil. in fact its purest kind of evil.
"What do we do with this lot [the Craster women]? Ashley: "BURN THEM!" 🔥🔥💃💃🔥🔥 Ashley - I never knew you were one of the Red Priestesses. Lindsay - 🎂Happy Birthday! Let your shirt message happen ASAP! May the cancer sashay away! Get well soon!
Don't worry about not hating bad guys Ashley, I absolutely love Baelish. lol I wish you all happiness, Lindsay!
Lindsay is so quick with her quips 😂
Get well soon Lindsay ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷
Hey Ashley, you have nothing to apologize for with your assessment of GOT characters. George R.R. meant for major characters to be grey, so you see both perspectives of their actions. This is done to make the characters have more depth and complexity. ------- It was fun seeing you work out your ideology of the show love for us. -------- Plus your facial expressions are PRICELESS.
Lindsay, thanks for being a rock of strength fot all of us as you fight cancer. -------- Our lives would be lacking without your amazing thoughts and disposition. Have a blessed day and Stay strong.
fortnight fort or 14 night for nights 14 nights or 2weeks
The lady on the right(I'm new to the channel, don't know her name) has all kinds of theories and questions swirling lol. It's cool and hilarious watching newcomers to the show figure out things for themselves!
I'll never forget watching this when it premiered on HBO. Everyone was fucking shocked, except those who had read the books of course. GRRM is a genius at making you really care about characters, and then killing them suddenly. Also, the dialogue he writes is some of the best I have ever read, now that I have read the books. His way of writing exposition is seamless.
technically, Jon Aryn didn't die in episode one........episode one picks up during his funeral, the episode picks up right after he was killed.......so Lysa and Petyr started all of this but not really someone else started all of this, long before
OMG Lyndsey I had no idea, I wish you and your family all the best. FUCK CANCER.you rock.
What you don't seem to get is that Baelish does NOT have such a little finger, if you know what I mean. They don't quite see that it was Baelish that started EVERYTHING. He was not just scheming.
An interesting thought that I have always believed: (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) (*****SPOILER ***** ) I always thought the writers should have had Lysa wait to reveal the poison and the letter truth until the later conversation, when she is having her conflict with Sansa at the moon door, when it would have had even more impact if she said it with Sansa and Littlefinger present and suddenly forced Littlefinger to do the deed, that way the viewers and Sansa all found out at the same time. That would've been able to be the instigator that forces Baelish to act against Lysa and would have made the reveal and the outcome, even more surprising and shocking. (IMO)
