in case you didn't know, at 26:03, the luchador shown is El Santo, who was essentially a real life version of superman. Every single person in mexico knows who he is, and he is undoubtably the greatest luchador of all time. He was never unmasked, and if I remember correctly he died a week after revealing his face on tv, further adding onto the legend that was El Enmascarado de Plata
@clementinaviazzani3690Ай бұрын
I’m think the reason why coco was forgetting hector was because she had some sort of memory problem like dementia or Alzheimer’s because remember when she called miguel by a different name in the beginning and she even forgot who her daughter was and she only barely remembers her dad so the reason he’s getting forgotten is because her memory is getting worse.

The skeletons represent the age of when the people died because if you noticed the little girl and her mother on the bridge when they are bringing Miguel back, she is about 5 years old looking, meaning she died at that age. Imelda and some of the others died semi young as well, minus Papa Julio, Coco's Husband who is the only "old" Skeleton among the family. The offrenda is an alter for offerings that one places the photos of the deceased and their favorite items from when they were alive. This allows them to come visit you and take back the love and memories you offer them in the form of food, drink or even an item like toys or a favorite cup.
@Katerine459
Ай бұрын
That doesn't quite fit, though, because Imelda must have been old enough to imprint her hatred of music onto Elena (because Elena certainly didn't get it from Coco). So I really got the impression that Elena must have been _at least_ 18 when Imelda died, which would probably put Imelda into at least her 60s. The far more likely option, at least to me, is that ages, like everything else in the afterlife, are based on the memories of the living. Specifically, ages are based on how a person is _primarily_ remembered by the living. Right now, Coco is primarily remembered as she was at the end of her life, because she'd only died recently. But 20 years down the line, after people's first-hand memories of her have started to fade, if the photo of her on the ofrenda was replaced by a photo from when she was younger, then she would become younger in the afterlife as well. This would explain why, IIRC, everybody in the afterlife appears to be the same age that they are in their photos.

@vitamins00
Ай бұрын
Oh I never noticed the mural, that’s cool. But the incredibles takes place in the 1960s, and they were probably in their 40s if the movie starts with them in their twenties and then fast forwards 15 years to their non-super life, so them being dead checks out

loved this movie and ur reaction..it always dawned on me that cocos father and mother etc died seemingly at an early age compared to her..and of course you see tons of kids over the bridge, showing they died in some way very young Q.Q this movie is one of my fsvorites and always gets me crying.
@KagenoakiАй бұрын
I consider anyone younger than 75 fairly young. And the way she moves suggests she wasn't that old because even coco, even if she is walking after her death, still moves something like an old woman. Based off of all the stories I have heard and read about Dia de los Muertos, they had said that your Spirit resembles you in your last moment of life. Very few suggest otherwise. Some say you appear in death as you did at the height of which your family remembers you most. So like let's say you die at 98 years of age, but everyone remembers you when you were 34 years old, your spirit/skeleton takes on the appearance of you at 34 years of age. But that is one form. Like I said most sources that I learned from sag you appear at the age you died. Because even the aunts and uncles were fairly "young" compared to Julio, Coco's Husband, who was the only "elder" looking among the family.

Those guys just twisted his words to "He choked on some Chorizo", meaning that he choked on some guy's Schlong.

the end where he sings to mama coco makes me cry like a baby every single time 🥲😭
This movie never fails to make me cry and laugh at the same time. The idea of it gives me comfort that our loved ones are actually there and that they will be remembered. Amazing video once again and I loved to see your reactions, especially to the plot twist🤭
I can't on any level understand why "Coco" is not talked about more today 🤯 It broke me & I think it is a beautiful film but honestly I think it has been forgotten over time
in case you didn't know, at 26:03, the luchador shown is El Santo, who was essentially a real life version of superman. Every single person in mexico knows who he is, and he is undoubtably the greatest luchador of all time. He was never unmasked, and if I remember correctly he died a week after revealing his face on tv, further adding onto the legend that was El Enmascarado de Plata

You are the first reactor I've seen to clock why Imelda can't cross over in the beginning! I love watching your reactions because you're SO OBSERVANT! I subscribed today :D Keep up the great work!

I saw a reactor clock on to the twist before Hector paints Miguel's face once... couldn't tell you who, only that it was the chick in a couple's reaction duo. Well, she wasn't sure... she kept going back and forth about Hector possibly being a villain and the actual twist. Only reactor I've seen be THAT sus of him, she was sus until De La Cruz's betrayal was revealed... she did NOT see that coming!

@Katerine459

41:10 that won't work because he needs to be remembered by people who knew him when he was alive, and for his memories (of him in the living world) to be passed down to others by those who remember him
Fun fact!!! Theres a mural on a wall which shows the incredibles as skeletons. Which technically means that in the pixar universe they are dead. But how did they die is the question?
@vitamins00
Ай бұрын
Oh I never noticed the mural, that’s cool. But the incredibles takes place in the 1960s, and they were probably in their 40s if the movie starts with them in their twenties and then fast forwards 15 years to their non-super life, so them being dead checks out

fun thing, a old spanish teacher of mine saw a spirit when he went to a village at the day of the dead, after all the villagers left, a kid went to him and said he needed to leave the spirits alone, he was halfway there when he realized 1 thing, the village didn't have anyone that could speak english
At first Hector was supposed to be a tour guide, and him knowing every spot in the Land of the Dead still stems from that early concept. In the end they didn’t use it in the movie but it was never discounted either.
This is one of my most favorite Disney movie, maybe even nr1

Chorizo is a Spanish spicy pig sausage that you can eat raw or in any form. It really good and in France you have an alternative that’s called « saucisson » (so-sis-on)
We used to watch this in summer camp, brings back memories man.
Hector actually never once lies to Miguel directly (he told the officer that he has tickets, not Miguel), Miguel just didn’t believe him
loved this movie and ur reaction..it always dawned on me that cocos father and mother etc died seemingly at an early age compared to her..and of course you see tons of kids over the bridge, showing they died in some way very young Q.Q this movie is one of my fsvorites and always gets me crying.
That one had me in TEARS and the music is so beautiful.
I love Coco so much its such a great movie. Love the twists, the music, and the cultural representation. Truly one of the movies that stays in my heart❤
can I just say you have become my favorite solo reaction channel out of group reactors there are others I prefer but as far as people who watch stuff on their own and focuses on reaction content (and not making it into a comedy routine) you have bceome my favorite your reactions are just so raw and genuine and never fail to delight as I say at the end of all my videos: Don't stop being awesome!
