In order to turn a profit on my used car I needed to do some work myself. This was really fun and enjoyable.

Good for you for actually fixing stuff like this. My local Chevy dealer leaves tons of dents and paint imperfections in their cars, and it shows.

I don't mind minor imperfections but the price needs to reflect that. Too often it doesn't.

Having worked at an auto body shop and done this kind of work, it was fun watching you do it for the first time. A little tip for getting a window down or up when there is no power is to use a jump box and a pick set. If the window has two wires powering it just find the wires on the harness, insert a pick in each slot, then hook up the jump box. You may have to reverse the picks if the window doesn't go the direction you want but you be able to loosen the bolts holding the window easier.

Good on you Mike! I like to see people get some technical chops, and what's even better, some of this stuff you will be able to spot when you're buying cars, and you will know right off the bat to account for that in your bid. Just an FYI - figure on changing that screen in each and every 2018 Chrysler - they ALL delaminate.

I like seeing the refurbishment work on the vehicles. Really need to work on lighting and or not do it half in the bay which caused the scene to be blown out. As far as the “good will” screen change out. I would expect you guys would have noticed a damaged screen like that before the sale. And given the persons comment about bringing it back, sure seems like they hit it and caused the damage and got you to fix it for free. I would not have gone for that unless I was really unsure if it did not have the damage when sold.

At an event I was photographing a while back, I was talking to a guy who owns a small used car lot. He use to look for the best cars at auction, now he looks for the trouble cars like these two. He's learned basic auto body repair and has sources for stuff like you did here. He found that his bottom line went up about 30%, if he calculated for his time and labor, it was about a 15% increase. But with the skills he learned, including paintless dent repair, he brings in a lot of basic auto body work for added profits.

I don’t know much about the costs and what can actually be done but I have seen some PDR guys do some amazing work on some stuff that you would have never thought possible. Could that panel not have been repaired or would it just have been more expensive to find someone good enough vs replacing the panel?
