@@daniellizarraga1453 A fact recognised pretty late. Whenever I used to tell Linkin Park is my favourite band the metal and rock purists liked to mock me & them. Bennington's death has made the rock & metal community realise what they lost in Linkin Park and the importance of their body of work for popularizing their genre.

One of my biggest regrets is not seeing them live :(

I saw them live in 2002 or so. There is a recording of the concert I saw them play on youtube which I only found recently. It was one of those nights for me I'll never forget for various personal reasons, but it was a great concert.

When I first heard "In the End". I was in the process of writing one of many story-archs to a series I have been working on and inspired the first tragic tale I have written all together. The concept I drew from this was a father going beyond death to save his daughter, but ultimatly his efforts ammount to nothing as in his strive to save the last thing he loved, he forgot about one of the very basic rules that defined reality; What is dead can never live again.

You've gone 20 years without hearing LP? How??

I had the joy and privilege to watch them in concert in Argentina! The band is even better live. Chester's concert voice was unreal.

Every linkin park song is beautiful in its own way and "numb" came out in 2003 on the meteora album and is still one amazing song RIP Chester 🖤🤘

As someone that's struggled and still struggles with depression and suicidal ideation, Linkin Park and their music has helped save my life. Mike (the rapper) is one of my current heroes in life and Chester was one of mine as well! 💛

"Numb" is one of those songs that will still be well known and played on the radio 50 years after its release.

actually most of the linkin park songs lyrics' are based from their real life incidents , which makes it even more connected to us people. the lyrics makes them special and chester's voice

Linkin Park got a lot of us through our teenage years - when we struggle for the words to express how we feel, Linkin Park did it for us. It's a shame that the world took Chester from us before he got to see the lasting legacy his music created. There was no one better to represent depressive rage, the feeling of screaming into the dark and hoping that someone who can help hears it. The world is a worse place for his absence.

You may have recognized Numb from the Numb/Encore collab with Jay Z, and have most likely heard some of their other songs from the Transformers movies if you've seen those. Meteora was the very first album I ever bought in my early teens, I think it will always have a special place in my heart

Yes, sadly, the lead singer Chester died from suicide 😢 💔. They actually released a song that didn't make it on the album called Lost. It will bring tears to your eyes. I've been a fan of them since the beginning. We definitely lost a great one. RIP Chester 🙏

He was acctually 4 years younger then Eminem, so that comment kinda crackers me up 😂 Also, Hybrid Theory (which is the album In the end is from) was released back in 2000. Just alittle constructive critisism… Alot in both videos is symbolism. A flying whale for exemple symbolises the journey through life, and the thorns growing out of the ground is meent to symbolis things that makes is struggle and have to fight through in life. These things, along with the lyrics, is very important part to take in to really understand the songs. Which, at least in my (and also Chester, the ”clean” singer) important, as alot of their songs is about depression, anxiety and the stigmas around it.

even though i don’t understand how you haven’t ever listened to linkin park, i must say that i really enjoy openminded people who are willing to step outside their comfort zone of music & listen to it from an unbiased perspective & im happy that you actually liked it!

Man I grew up with Linkin Park jamming to their songs. This brings back memories, I highly recommend “One more light” the live version, that song is beautiful. And also the raw emotion Chester had while singing it before he ultimately took his own life. RIP to a legend.

R.I.P Chester, as someone who grew up listening to Linkin Park, It took me until after chester’s death to understand the meaning behind the songs. In the end is a classic ! It’s over 20 years old now.

The respect you showed Chester at the end was touching.

My favorite band! Thanks for doing this reaction! Chester died on my 18th birthday, and he truly was one of my favorite musicians, he inspired me to become a musician and write and perform music.

Linkin Park is a legendary band. I often say the only band that comes close to them is Falling In Reverse, which I know you like. of course I say this because of how well written the songs are and how well blended the rap and rock are by both bands. anyone can mix both, but to do it exceptionally well is a skill in itself. I have to disagree with you on the falling in reverse comparison. While there are some REALLY good FIR songs (Popular Monster, for example), there are also many that are very bad and in which the rap/ rock mixture feels really forced. Can't blame them though, rap rock is great when done right but it's extremely hard to get it right. I also prefer the lyrics in LP songs, as Ronnie often falls into the trap of 'sex, drugs and booze' in his songs, and that type of lyrics makes me very uncomfortable... No disrespect though, we don't have to all like the same things and this is just my personal opinion☺️

Linkin Park means so much to me and they've help me through a lot. Even if you don't react to too many more of their songs on the channel please give their beautiful art people call music the time it deserves. Who knows, after you hear one album you may go on to make LP a permanent part of your life like I did

And Linkin park is by no means 1 genre, they blend many genres

I grew up with linkin park, numb takes me back to my teenage angst/depression years. Haha never too late! But yes, very saddening ending they had with Chester taking his life 😢

Ronnie's music is heavily compared to linkin park mainly his newer ones

They were marketed as an edgy nu metal band when they debuted in 2000, but their roots were actually in hip hop, and their label was trying to make them fit the trendy nu metal thing that was going on at the time. They became more experimental after their first two albums. If you want more music videos top react to, I recommend songs like "Leave Out All The Rest", "Burning In The Skies", "Waiting For The End", "The Catalyst", "Lost In The Echo", "Castle Of Glass", and their two collaborations with Steve Aoki, "A Light That Never Comes" and "Darker Than Blood"

Nah that's not true at all. They have always had some Metal influence since their first recorded album in the late 90's. In fact Chester was heavily influenced by the Nu-Metal band "Deftones" Check out their first Demo album, it is heavily influenced by Deaftones (Nu-Metal band)

Listening to these songs for the first time in 2021/22?! Are you fucking kidding me!! LP for life! RIP Chester. You live on everyday among us🙏

I enjoy your reactions because you are honest in them, don't feel bad if you don't completely know the history or certain facts about a band. You just listened to my childhood. I'm Indian. I was introduced to American music through Linkin Park back in 2005. Till then, it was just Bollywood and Bengali Rock bands like Fossils for me. 'In The End' was the first and I've never looked back ever since. ❤️ RIP Chester

Faint and new divide are missing and much more but all lp songs or the most are masterpieces👌R.I.P Chester

Wait you haven't checked out THIS band?? You HAVEN'T lived. Gotta check out "Points of Authority" and "With You" by Linkin Park

"In The End" was on the debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000, "Numb" was on the second album Meteora in 2003. Great reaction, the vibes you give off are great. Their entire discography is fantastic, they're such an experimental band with something for everyone. RIP Chester. You'll always be in our hearts

Just for reference, Hybrid Theory, the album "In the end" is from, released on October 24, 2000. So the special effects in the video are from very early 2000's.

Just something interesting to think about. As of this comment, those two music videos alone have just about 3.2 Billion views. Spread out over the population of the earth, that's about 41% of people. When music speaks to people like these songs do, it matters, even in the end.
