I met Linkin park in concert in 2004 in texas they were some of the nicest individuals I've ever meet. My girlfriend and I got a picture with chester and he did not just take the picture he talked to us for a good 5 minutes I know that may not be a long time but with how busy they were its a long time. One of the greatest moments in my life was that meeting and I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to meet them .RIP chester

I took my daughter to her one and only LP concert and I'm sad I'll never be able to take my grandchildren to a show. Easily one of my favorite groups of all time. If you ever get a chance listen to their cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." I listen to it every day of my life. Great reaction and commentary as always. Happy New Years!

Crazy fact: Chester's voice sounds like it was mixed to have almost two or three different notes to it, it is literally just the way his voice sounded. They talk about it in a few different interviews. When the band was first forming they had a tryout for lead singers. When Chester was called in some of the people who heard him while waiting to audition actually got up and left. He was an incredible vocal talent.

All the lyrics about Depression, anxiety, voices in your head, fear, loneliness and struggle in general. It'd sad that this is how chester must have been feeling for all those years prior to his death.

@@barildan I wasn't taking about this song in particular. In talking about like the majority of Linkin Parks music especially the early stuff. The stuff off of Hybrid Theory and Meteora is filled with lyrics about Depression, loneliness, fear, voices in your head, anxiety and trauma. So given how Chester died, it's just sad to see that he sang about that stuff for almost 20 years, struggled with it the whole time and needed up dying. That's what I meant, wasn't talking about Numb in particular guy

Hybrid Theory and Meteora got me through my teenage years. Two of the greatest albums ever made. If you react to any song off these 2 albums you will not be disappointed

Another very powerful song by them is " One more Light "

Knowing what we now know about Chester Bennington (lead vocals) of Linkin Park & his tragic suicide in 2017, his anguish and pain in his lyrics was real... He talked about the abuse he suffered as a minor, and how it drove him to alcoholism... He saw Linkin Park sell over 10 million records in the US alone by 2004, and he ended up divorced & broke by 2005 because Linkin Park was being underpaid by their label contractually. So they sued to terminate the contract and got a better deal by 2007. Chester was married w/ kids and about to go back on a huge US tour w/ Linkin Park in 2017 when his wife found his body in their home... R.I.P.😪 Too much pain, too much anguish for him to carry on... Truly sad end to a remarkable voice.
