I have never heard thelr live version. God, they are perfection! The first time my mom heard them sing, she said they sounded like angels, and she is right. Love them!

Absolutely stunning work from every single member! Mitch soaring with chromatic runs & Scott’s strong baritone in Italian!

The official video is so much more emotionally better! I'm still upset that they didn't win some kind of award for this one!

Good lord, every time with this song, I can barely breath! This album was nominated for a Grammy and didn't win, but I think if it was this song that was up on it's own in a different category, it would have. This arrangement is perfection.

I will always love this version of this song. It's like a beautiful mashup to me. They started it off very traditional Andrea bocelli and Celine Dion In the beginning but what stole my heart is they took it home with the gospel Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams version 🙌🏾❤️. So skillfully done. Such a masterpiece 🙏🏾. Thank you for this amazing reaction 👍🏾👏🏾

I do so love the way you react to Pentatonix! They can be so full, lush and luscious like here, they can also be very clipped and precise when needed. But they are always, always excellent. Not without their flaws, though, particularly with Scott and lyrics. Even with a bank of prompters on stage, it doesn’t always come together perfectly. My favorite is shown in a clip when he came off stage apologizing that he couldn’t quite find the word Jesus and instead sang of Cheezits! Loved your reaction, as always. Peace …

Definitely recommend their Recording of Evergreen. I think you would really enjoy it and really see how much they put into their music.

Did you notice that Kevin came in with his sweet falsetto on the very last note? You can hear Mitch "foregrounded," as it were, and then there's this dulcet little tone on top of him. They are so amazing.

08:04 If you want to talk about precision, listen to how they ended the song. Everyone's holding a long note, but the cutoff is absolutely simultaneous and complete. No one's late, no one's early, they just all stop producing sound at exactly the same moment. And there's no one "conducting" them (at least that we can see), giving a physical signal to end, they just do it all at the same time.

And this is LIVE! Think of how insane that is!

The official video will just bring you to tears just from the sheer beauty of their work. I think their might have been a little layering in the official video and it was mixed to perfection. In the official video at a little after the three minute mark they sound like a pipe organ. It is really amazing what they can do. Only the powers that be in the universe could have brought them together to brighten the days of us mere mortals.

I've never heard this one done live before. That was incredible. But gotta find a version of this exact, same performance where no reaction is taking place so that I can really dig into the flawlessness of this being done live. They sounded just as good as the recorded version even with all the stops and comments taking place in the reaction. I was still able to enjoy their performance as a first-time listener of this classic.

Their voices at time are so powerful at times that it take me back to the choir, and the musical director decades ago. The kept saying, "Never louder than lovely"

Masters of harmony, and live....👽👽👽👽👽's, pretty sure....? LOL amazing.

You mentioned Mitch's voice so here's a tidbit of info. Sadly, Mitch was extremely bullied in school because of his voice but I am so glad that this has happened (Pentatonix) for him. Now I'd like to know what his bullies think of him being a multi-millionaire with the very thing they bullied him on. Love this group.

This is a great presentation and there's no question about that; however, the official release with the forest scenery was spectacular.

The video is nicer to watch. They are indeed incredible. Watch the Superfruit Frozen medley (Mitch and Scott from this group with Kirstie joining in). It is hilarious. And yes it is Italian!

such a fun "raindrop free" viewing experience.

I LOVE their version of this song. So, that was a live version, now go and listen to their official video. #1 it is a beautiful video but it also sounds the same. People say they don't really sound like that or they are using auto tune. I have seen them 3 times in concert, going to be 4 in August and I will tell you they DO sound that good! Please continue reacting to them. AHA Singapore live at the Star Vista is incredible. Taken from a cell phone but worth the time to watch. One of my very favorites.

I've said this before on another of your reactions....I love your reactions! Although you don't get into the technicalities that some voice coaches do, you display your musical knowledge and pick out things ( like runs or random notes) that you think we should notice, and you express your thoughts very well! Very well done, and thanks for another great reaction! 😊

I'm not religious. Don't care if someone is religious as long as they dont try to lecture me and give me sermons. But having said that, this song and performance slaps. Its so clear, crisp, and well-timed. Amazing harmonies, range, and power. Love the arrangements. The base...the runs...excellence.

I you want to hear five part harmony here are three suggestions.... Run to You (original) My Heart With You (upgrade) this song was the inspiration for Run to You which they wrote and released on their first full album years before. Light in the Hallway (original)

🥈I want you to watch their cover of Mad World. It's freaking amazing, BUT I can't find a live version. I found a lyric version. Also, how much have you touched on Demi Lovato? Listened to her outside of YT? I ran across a version of Mad World with her and Adam Lambert. That had me stoked as Adam did it on American Idol, and that was the day I started praying he wouldn't win. He deserved ALL the flowers without the contracts that would have held him back. Demi, if you're the last person to hear this song, it still needs to be heard, Dancing With The Devil. If you do it, please do the official video. It's her true story about her overdose, and it still gives me chills. She reenacted every single part of it. Brave.

Definitely go watch the official video. Their vocals never change, but the mic balance is horrible here. Mic balance for a capella is next level ability, and this show's people didn't have it.
