Yeah man, the tattoos were actually to cover their bruises cause they practiced a lot for the pole dancing! Also, their sub-unit Orange Caramel is the blue print for quirky/fun kpop! Their concepts are totally different, that's why they're the concept queens

BANG is such an ICONIC song, literally an ANTHEM in kpop history. We all agree that until this day, no kpop group has pulled a concept and a song like that.

I knew you would love First Love! Fun fact, First Love and Because of You were produced by Brave Sound, the guy who created and produces Brave Girls. He worked with a lot of legendary groups like Sistar and AOA back in the day. A lot of his older stuff is RnB inspired.

After School was one of my ult groups when I was in my 5th to 8th grade. They were on the top list alongside Girls' Generation. Now that I am in my mid-20's working in the media industry, I still listen to their music.

First Love is genuinely one of my favorite kpop songs like i could listen to it on repeat for sooo long and yeah the pole dancing was legit impressive

To me, Shampoo is one of the greatest girl group songs! Like you said, the synths and strings, as well as that emotive chorus are all breathtaking! Girl groups don’t make tracks like this now, and it saddens me

It’s always nice seeing somebody react and appreciate 2nd gen 😊 if you’re able to do a second reaction, I’d highly recommend After School’s older songs ‘Ah’ and ‘Diva’. Soooo fun, cheesy, and catchy!! I’d also add their subunit, Orange Caramel and their songs ‘Catallena’, ‘My Copycat’, and ‘Lipstick’. They’re really quirky and have a j-pop inspiration, you’d have a blast hahaha

I looove these throwback reactions! Earlier generations is full of iconic songs and groups! I would looove to see a reaction to groups like SPICA (one of the best vocal group in kpop imo) 9Muses (a bad song is not something you can associate with them) and the same with the groups Rainbow and Dalshabet! Underrated and deserved so much more!

After School was the group that got me into kpop way back in 2012. They will always have a special place in my heart.

literally one of thee most iconic ggs of 2nd gen and concept wise, they were one of if not the best too like they were so gimmicky, with all of them learning pole dancing, playing drums, and tap dancing for different comebacks but IT. ALWAYS. WORKED. originally they were modeled to be like the korean pussycat dolls and they were also pledis'first group but they were done dirty by the company 😕 bang's concept was and still is so fresh like I can't think of any kpop song with similar concept and sound except kill this love by bp also im probably the biggest shampoo fan it's still one of my most streamed songs ever on Spotify lol

The MV of shampoo is a love story between the teacher(man) and student(member Raina) in tap dance group. I am not sure but it seems that. They released another tap dance MV too. After School practiced hard for diverse choreography, such as snare drum, tap dance, pole dancing. Because of you has the lesbian story line

2nd Gen groups are nothing to play with! After School was always able to pull off any concept! So happy to see you reacting to them!

Kahi was one of the best in the industry... althought the songs and concept after she left (the first three you react) are good too, but we can notice the difference between the group's vibe before Kahi left (the last two you react). Kahi helps create so many iconic choreos & concepts. My favorite songs of them are including their earliest release like "Ah', and 'Diva". I was devastated when Bekah & Kahi Left after school.

Yes, one of my all time fav girl groups. Bang and Because of You are 2 of my all time fav kpop songs. I miss them so much. Last year, several members reunited on a show and performed Diva and Bang. I suggest you check those out cause they still got it. Flashback is stil one of the best choreo I've seen from a girl group. Lol when I showed my mom first love when it came out, she made me download and put on a special playlist on her iPod. This special playlist only had this song on it 😂 she also absolutely loves the choreo and would watch it on repeat all the time lol this is definitely her favorite kpop song along with It Hurts - 2NE1 & Be Calm - Hwasa.

I don't know if you are ready for 2nd gen (2008/2013) ggs Fifi, because a lot of them were daring sexy, sensual & with a variety of concepts; esp during 2012/2014 sexy concept were the trend and a lot of ggs did it; After school were popular & one of the most hard working gg , they were different because the gp had some kind of graduation & admission circle, because a lot of the members were getting old & they wanted to do their own thing yet they wanted to keep the grp, when a member graduate a new trainee can be added , the system began with their leader Kahi graduation(she debuted kind of older then the usual age for idols). After school have a lot of popular members (Kahi; UEE (now actress); Nana (one of the visuals of 2nd gen & now an actress);Juyeon actress,Lizzy) I recommend their Japanese song "Shh" if you're playing a part 2. For groups similar to AS I recommend 9 muses(SEXY)(a gp that was ruined by their horrible company too (great gp & songs) . For older ggs there's plenty of good ones that maybe u still dont know (EXID,Girls Day; 4 minute;f(x);missA; AOA;secret;Ladies code; & Stellar =this is a talented gg that was exploited & sexualised by their company to sell but they really have good songs but the MVs & Choreos were !!!! but it will be cool that one day you can check the gp;

for bang, in the live performances they often have a drumming section that's performes before the song and it's so good

In 2021 after school had a Reunion with almost all the original members for the first time in like 10 years (one lives in hawaii and another lived in Bali at the time, a third was pretty pregnant when they did this), and they performed Bang with all of them for the first time in 10 years (two members were missing but 5 came) they had two days of practice then performed it, I think it’d be totally great if you wanted an original live performance of it and then watched the new one, you’d love it

After School was one of my favorite Kpop groups in the early 2010's. The girls of After School did so many things that were rarely seen in the Kpop scene at the time (ex. Tap dancing, pole dancing, drumming, etc.). Also, Fifi the vocals that you were praising were from Oh Hye Rin (also known as Raina) and Kim Jung Ah (she was also the one that did the chest popping during Bang). I would also highly recommend doing another video reacting to the rest of After School's Korean releases. Some MV's that you haven't reacted to are Let's Step It Up (showcases the tap dancing that was alluded to during the Shampoo MV), Into the Night Sky (subunit), Wonder Boy (subunit), Diva, and AH. Apologies for the wall of text, the minute I saw that the reaction was to After School I was so happy. My playgirlz knowledge was waiting for this moment apparently XD. Keep being amazing Fifi!

Bang! never fails to make you have a little party when you listen to it each time! Since you dig these so much, I just know you would like After School's Japanese single Shh! It's so different than what idols usually do, and was produced by a renowned DJ, Shinichi Osawa aka Mondo Grosso. It's subtle yet genius production that I know you could fully appreciate. Ahead of its time, really hasn't aged.
