A Canadian here who knew Jeff personally. P[ayed with him at a cottage on Lake Simcoe, Him on a Dobro and a few of us on acoustics, harp and bass. A gathering of people in a fireside arena that went down as a memorable moment for all who were lucky. He died a year later. I am now 73 and the smell of smoke is still remembered. Not from the fire but from that dobro. A kind and humble presence who's fate was known by all who was there. RIP Jeff and thanks for making each campfire since a walk in memory.

Toronto girl here and a huge fan of our hometown boy Jeff, SRV & the blues. I'm envious of your Lake Simcoe experience with Jeff and the wonderful memory you have of that time. Toronto was such an amazing town musically to grow up in. With me it started in 1969 with all the music festivals, concerts, bar bands, etc. I think I spent the 70's just working to pay for live music.....a great investment for amazing memories!

Top Notch World Class Blues! At the beginning of the song, Stevie is playing rhythm & the really cool licks in the background are coming from Jeff! When Jeff stands up, he has to "hug" his guitar because he has no strap...That is incredible how he can play like that. 2 good friends giving us an incredible performance & having a great time . This is one of my all time favorite SRV videos because he's playing with Jeff...It just doesn't get any better for me!

I first saw Stevie before he recorded his first album, then again a few times after he made it big! I've been fortunate to see many legends before their passing, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Gregg Allman, Johnny Winter, Bobby Bland (he and BB King got a 1 hour standing ovation before the police had to push the crowd out), Led Zeppelin shortly before John Bohnam's passing, Motorhead before Lemmy passed, etc..

Great job. You guys should really watch Stevie Ray Vaughan doing "Look at Little Sister" live at Austin City Limits 1989. Once the middle eight begins, pay close attention to his guitar strings. I don't want to tell you what happens next or I will ruin the video. I promise you that you will be impressed. Another thing, If you look at the guitar he plays most of the time (Number 1) it has a left handed guitar Tremolo (Whammy Bar) installed. It is a long story on how that came about. I wont get into that now. I grew up in North Dallas and Stevie grew up in Oak Cliff, a suburb of Dallas on the South Side at the same time. Unfortunately for me, we never knew each other. Another one you should see is "Life Without you" at the Capital Theater 1985. Pay very close attention during the first 30 seconds of the song. Hint: his guitar changes from red to white. Most people never notice what is happening and never see the guitar change. When you watch Stevie play, never blink or you might miss something.
