This is when you had to actually have a talent to RAP, not like now. Anybody could be a rapper. AWESOME song. 80s and 90s RAP ALL DAY!!! Thanks TWON!!! #NoLimitNation forever!!
Queen Latifah hit the scene as a teenager and challenged a male dominated industry to do better and be better. Not only commanding respect, but demanding it with bars like "you've been beggin' and dyin' for somebody's rhymin' to set you free, for God loved the world he gave you me..." Fearless, strong, beautiful, outspoken, and dope AF on the mic.

This is the Queen we were introduced to back then. I was in my early 20s and been worshipping the Queen ever since 👑🥂
She's being honored on Sunday at the BET awards.
Yo youngin, this is one of the dopest most underrated tracks of the 90s. I have never seen a reaction to it and it was crazy to see how you enjoyed it. Much respect to the youngsta’s like you learnin about their hip hop history!
Queen Latifah "Ladies First" + dig into other members of the Native Tongue collective. No one is reacting to The Jungle Brothers. So underrated.

Yes!!! Class, serious rhythm and Lyrics! Young people may not know Queen as a Rapper;, more the actress; she was huge and Ground Breaking. Jersey Girl, too
And people wonder why we talk about rap these days the way we do … THIS is why, we had some serious real MCs! 🔥🔥🔥

Good one!!
That’s was back in the day when ladies ddt have to be dam near naked to tap. The queen got bars!!!!
Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, NAACP, Oscar nominated…first rapper with a Hollywood star…The Queen does it/did it all. She’s an ill spitter, a singer, an actress (movie, tv and Broadway), philanthropist, activist and talk show host. Please check out “Winki’s Theme”, a song dedicated to her brother (RIP). She raps and sings on this track. Official👌🏾
My Jersey Queen 👑 🙌🙌👊👑👑. Latifah Holds Such a Special and Unmovable Spot in my Heart. Not Only can She Spit 🔥🔥🔥, But it makes sense and makes you think. She carries herself with the Utmost Respect (hence why she's The Queen) she can Sing Beautifully , Act in any genre(Comedy, Action, Drama etc), Daytime Talk Show Host (I was in her Audience) But above all else, She's the True definition of , A Good Role Model. I'm so fortunate to have grown up in this Era,but also be from NJ.
I'm loving how you're loving this 'old school' rap! In '91, I was 21/22, this was my jam! Queen Latifah is regal!

The Queen was never to be played with! 💯🔥
This is still the dopest song by a female rapper. Lyrics, deejaying and production was all 5 stars..
Oh my goodness! I promise you I didn’t think anyone would ever react to this song, this is my favorite and I do mean favorite song by her I just love the cadence she is using and everything oh my goodness
Yes!! She is a Queen, indeed!! More female rappers, please! Have you done any MC Lyte yet? Excuse me for not scrolling all the way down to check. If you haven't, I recommend "Lyte as a Rock". If you want to dabble in some West Coast style female rap, try Ice Cube's protégé Yo-Yo. Her song "You Can't Play With My Yo-yo".

Honestly, I love that you love it. She was hot back in the day. It still surprises me that people never knew she was a rapper. I love her movies, in fact, Last Holiday is my favorite movie. I commented on your U.N.I.T.Y. post to go check out her "Just another day video. Great song.
90s was that 🔥🔥🔥
This song’s always been a banger…absolutely LOVE your reaction to this. All of them, but this reaction specifically. “My arm paralyzed” 😂❤
"I caught your thought and cut it short, no one is ever getting near" oooooooo
I was 20 or 21 when this came out..I remembered when I was like 13 they only played rap songs and new rappers at a certain time on the radio for me it was 4:00 PM on a AM radio station I had get my cassette tape player press play & record so I had my own rap tape to listen to..guess you called that a mix tape back then 😆
You got me cheesing big ♡ Now U know! It was McLyte, Queen Latifah, and Yo-Yo back in the day!!!
She's my favorite female MC
I’m loving this for you! She’s the reason i fell in love with hip hop! Her and Mc Lyte!
🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS TO 80s and 90s REAL HIP HOP
#NoLimitNation The legend herself! Love Queen 👑! Love 90s Hip Hop/Rap! 90s-early 00s was the Golden Era of Hip Hop/Rap!
React to Nature of a Sista, one of her best and underrated.
Please react to "Afro Puffs" by the Lady of Rage. Another classic.
Latifah grew up on 80's Hip Hop. It was MANDATORY you had to have some serious bars back then. I think Hip Hop tool a deep dive from it's "rawness" in the late 90s. Being overproduced has it's benefits adm drawbacks.
Super glad you did this one. This track is sooo hard yet somehow not one that gets remembered like some of the others. Ha, maybe she just killed to many other MCs with it.
My favorite Latifah song from this era is 1989's "Ladies First."
Live version at the Kennedy Center is even better. The video should be on KZread.
All hail the Queen 👑👑
JERSEY!!!!!!
This track got Treach written all over it. Still.. God Bless Queen Latifah. Definitely she had it on smash. This take me back to 6th grade. WOW
First came here for your Prince reacts... then stayed for The Queen
The Queen could spit.
Here is a few more ladies of the 90's that also tore it up in the 90's Mc Lyte, Yo Yo she was west coast rapper, Monie luv & Papoose wife was vicious. The Queen was no joke she would battle the men & woman of hip hop.
One of my fav female rappers💯💯💯 Def my fav track from her!!!
So many arguments on social media about who’s the Queen of Rap. This right here…no need to look further 💕Queen Latifah
The queen is the queen forever! Sunshine beautiful queen and beautiful music!! Old school is forever!!
This is called rap Talent
Nature of a Sista- Queen Latifah
ICONIC REAL HIP HOP
The difference is at this time HipHop Culture was a big part of Rap Music today HipHop Culture has been removed. When you listen to MCs of this time they all warned us about today.
Oh young man! I love your reactions to REAL rap! ALL HAIL THE QUEEN! Keep it up!
That turntablism got you young G. When you got a DJ that can break the shit down, it hits different. Check out Roxanne Shante - Big Mama. She was the one the other females was scared of.
listen to black hand side omg BARS
Queen Latifah- Just Another Day

She wasn't playing! Love the reaction
The kingdom is possible, because of the Queen… The King is the sign, while the Queen is the symbol Warren G quote
latifa 1st came out in 1989 wit the song ladies first, wit monie love
She is so outrageously talented! Rapping, singing and acting.....one amazing human! I was a young Mother in the 90s and worked out in a hip hop dance class. It always cracked me up when some people would say that rap wasn't going to last 😹
She was about empowerment. Her first one was “Ladies First” feat Monie Love Can you react to Boss “Deeper” 90s Gangstress
TREACH FROM NAUGHTY BY NATURE WROTE THIS FOR HER BUT ITS STILL A BANGER
I love the Queen
My boy you were born in the wrong decade… I can see that your an old hip-hop head in spirit !
YESSSSS HAIL TO THE QUEEN ! A triple threat. Can rap, act and sing. Grammy and Oscar winning star. 😁👍🔥💯
Thank you for giving me the proper context I need for your music reviews (mainly your age). This really helps me personally. Welcome to the real world of music, you’ve been on some great journeys!
Yeah, son... Your DNA start talking to you...letting you know you're a King... this is why the enemy stopped real urban music and subbed it for ignorance. Exactly what she is rapping about.
Please react to Queen Latifah was just another day! This one is a chilled flow type!!!!
The one and only!! 👑
Check out MC Lyte, Linque, Nikki D., Salt & Pepa, Antoinette and Monie Love.
Check out "ladies first, Black Hand side or just another day" from the Queen. All classics! The Queen was on fire back in the day!
