Chester is, to this day, the only celebrity who's death I cried over. He was special. Here I am commenting before watching lol, looking forward to this reaction! Edit: Alright now that I've watched and saw how invested Asia was I'm all emotional again over Chester lol, great reaction as always!

Same. I stood in my bathroom and it was on the radio. Used to listen to LP a lot and just a few weeks earlier had heard "Heavy" on the radio for the first time. I was just getting into liking it and then those news.... Sad day

I was at work. My buddy called me to tell me. I thought that it would be a terrible joke to make. I checked and I felt the life pulled out of me. I broke down. Seeing LP live was on my bucket list. It's really hard giving up a dream.

Linkin Park got me through some hard times. Chester is definitely missed.

Linkin Park did an incredible job combining rap and rock and their lyrics always had such amazing depth. This was one of their first songs I ever heard and made me become and huge Linkin Park fan a long time ago.

The sad part is if you look alot of the song titles and listen to the word Chester told the whole world how bad he was hurting and what he was gonna do about.

Some of the lyrics are about a relationship but the overall point of the song is it illustrates how short life is & how much can change in a relatively short amount of time

Only problem is that, they wrote all the songs together for Hybrid Theory and Meteora.

This is my favorite by Linkin Park. Love this song. Once you learn about his past the lyrics become even more powerful.

with losing Chris, then Chester 2 months later, this crushed the rock world in a flash.....listening to either of them now is so damn emotional every time - RIP Chris nd Chester

We lost a great one when Chester went. One of my favorite bands of all time.

There's a million good Linkin Parks songs that you could review and get the same chills up your spine feeling every time.

Chester Bennington was awesome, my favorite is “One more Light”, and “Numb.” Both these songs in hindsight could have been a cry for help to me, sometimes they can be smiling in your face and thirty minutes late, gone! It’s so sad! RIP Chester!🙏

Lol, I'm 34 and been listening to Linkin Park since 2002, back then I knew people who would never listen to any type of rock, but probably heard it on vh1 or the radio, but ever since 2009 and on, linkin park hasn't been on tv or mainstream radio...meaning unless anyone from the ages of 1-24 or so has a parent, older sibling or searched it themselves, there are 100s of million of people who haven't heard it.

That shitty trap remix made kids nowadays think that was the original, hopefully somewhere in life they discover the actual original song.

The fusion of musical styles plus Chester's great voice made them stand out.

Chester's voice still gives me chills. Miss you Chester, rip. Give my love to Chris.

Chester was the front man. Numb was the song that got remixed with JayZ it was a Lincoln Park song. One More Light is a must do. Crawling and Numb are fire too.

I love that Linkin Park is still being discovered by reactors today. What sucks is that they will never have the opportunity to experience Chester in a live concert. I was fortunate enough to see them live and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. RIP Chester Bennington

Remember an interview on MTV (I'm old enough to remember a time they played music and such) where they explained how they got together. They were already a group but were missing a real singer. So they asked people to send tapes or go sing live for them and they gave them a song ... I 'think' it was even "In the end". And Chester just BELTED those lyrics. They weren't originally supposed to be sung like that! They knew he was the one and so Linkin Park formed with Chester Bennington as lead vocals (Although I think at the time the name was still Hybrid Theory? Correct me if I'm wrong) Now that I think about - is he really the lead if Mike has at least as much text to perform? Hm... Whatever. Wish they would still exist.

Chester did the song "One more light" live on the Jimmy Kimmel show as a tribute to his best friend Chris Cornell *who took his life not long before the show". Its probably the most powerful and sad thing i have heard. When he screamed "I do" everyone could feel his sorrow. He couldn't even finish some of the words by the end of the song. Chester took his life on Chris Cornell's birthday.

Linkin Park is one of my all time favorites. Hybrid Theory is such an incredible album. Nothing on the radio really sounded like Linkin Park. I remember illegally downloading every Linkin Park song I could find on Napster after seeing their music video for One Step Closer on MTV when I was like 10 or 11. You gotta react to Crawling next. Also, Crawling (Live) featuring Chris Cornell. Then Hunger Strike featuring Chester Bennington. Chris and Chester were very close friends. When Chris took his life it deeply hurt Chester. Chester then took his life on July 20th, what would have been Chris Cornell's birthday.

No they werent. While some were written with and or for Chester in mind, majority of their songs were written by Mike Shinoda

Linkin Park was one of those groups with hard rock, rap and had their own DJ in the early 90's. In 2004 Jay Z wanted to work with them together. They toured together in 2005. You would like to hear "It's Goin Down" with Linkin Park and The Ex-cutioners it's all hard rock rap.
