Also posted this on patreon, but doing it again. Because these past few weeks have been me evangelizing for her and KARDI everywhere I can reach. Of particular interest... her first public performance went viral in 2019, singing BLACKPINK Whistle kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4iktpaPYa-be7A.html. you should most definitely check out Naruto shippudens openings and bleachs those are the goat the elite of elites. and make sure to check out the actual openings like you did with Black clover not just the songs pls looking forward to it

Yeji's Korean from Korea. She's never lived out of Korea for her whole life. I'm her fan. I'm telling you that she's got fabulous ears to catch and analyze sounds.
I fell down her rabbit hole last week stumbling upon the superband 2 videos and I couldn't stop watching her. I spent hours searching, and watched a ton of videos of her. She is amazing, I fell inlove with her voice very quickly.

I discovered her 3 years ago on Voice Korea. I became obsessed and followed her musical progress.. It is just a matter of time for her to explode. Thank God she arrived on peoples radar now.

@@Myria83 I don't think so, it's expired off of Twitch. The full stream was a 5 GB mp4 file, which I did download but is a bit too large to be easy to make publicly available.
I downloaded Kardi's mini-album, "Chil", last night, and I can't stop listening to it. All four songs are incredibly good!! Kim Yeji has the pipes man!!!

I discovered Kim Yeji on KZread with a video of her singing an Adele song in public and then I found her as a contestant in the reality show 'SUPERBAND 2'. I love her, she is amazing. Hopefully someday I'll get to see some streaming on Twitch, I want to recommend Hoppipolla (Superband season 1 first place winners) and other artists/bands from this reality show.

Love your reaction bro ! I'm rooting for her since The Voice of Korea 2, but not many people recognize her despite of her amazingly unique voice. Your reaction is exactly of the first time I'm listening to her singing ! She's so underated. I do hope She'll get the success that she deserves !
There is currently a resurgence in indie rock bands in Korea. Some like kardi are combining Korean traditional instruments and rock instrumentation. I hope she stays with the band what they are doing is very unique. I would really hate to see such a voice get wasted on Korean pop music.

Kim Yeji is a force to be considered. In general superband 2 season is just marvellous. Kim didn’t take the first place, Vince and co took it. But they were just as hilarious as Yeji and co.

if you (or anyone seeing this comment) want more of yeji's solo stuff she actually released a bunch of songs just a few months ago! they're less rock than kardi's style and her river cover, but i absolutely recommend checking out she is mine, alone, freak and on&off to hear more of her lovely voice! i saw someone else recommending her other superband 2 performances like legends never die, and i absolutely agree, and would like to add that her performance to house i used to call home is a must-watch if you want to truly see her range and ability to switch genre. a solid warning is however that the copyright issue you noticed in this video isn't necessarily about yeji's videos, it's specifically superband (both 1 and 2) due to a lot of region locks and i'm assuming licensing issues. anyway, watch superband (1 and 2) or at least performances from the show, because there really isn't a single bad performance from either season. it's just a goldmine of the best of the best when it comes to lesser known musicians and indie artists in south korea. if you can't react due to the copyright issues, it's a worthwhile experience to just watch for your own entertainment.
