I think Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" was a HUGE album, HUGE meaning. And it's a song relevant to today, still, 30 years later. Highly recommend Rhythm Nation. Also loved Black Cat off that album, but Rhythm Nation is probably Janet's #1 song that she should be associated with forever. If aliens opened up a Janet Jackson time capsule in 1,000 years, Rhythm Nation should be the song they judge her on. She blew the whole year wide open with that song. Great stuff. You know she’s fire when you know that she never had to be introduced as Michael Jackson’s sister. Think of any pop singer, from 90s until today. None of them would be here if it wasn’t for Janet. Plus she opened the space for black girls the same way Madonna gave visibility to gays community. Huge contribution to society. Janet is pure gold. You boys have no idea how the entire world thought she was the hottest thing out there. Janet is her own star ❤️ my muse from 1991 to this day.

“That’s the Way Love Goes”. Or early JJ “Nasty”. Or “Scream” for MJ and JJ.
Janet's "Pleasure Principal" video is what y'all need to check out to get a solid feel for Janet. And her 1986 Control album: "Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun)", "What Have You Done for Me Lately" , "Nasty", "When I Think of You", "Control", "Let's Wait Awhile", "You Can Be Mine" & "He Doesn't Know That I'm Alive". Here's the video for the Janet Jackson song that y'all just reacted to Anytime, Any Place kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXyDm6pqhrCzf84.html

Music today just doesn't compare. Take your beyonce and whoever is today's top female artist, i will take Janet over them any day.

Janet is one of Beyoncé biggest influences in her music. Let’s just say Beyoncé would have been a very different artist if Janet wasn’t there. But let’s not pin both artists against each other. There both are music icons that inspired so many of the artists we hear today.

Janet's a QUEEN!! This is a gorgeous track.. but if you really want to experience Janet!! Miss Jackson .. if u nasty!!! haha Then you really and truly have to watch her videos where she is singing and dancing.. and showing all of her Jacksoness!!! Also.. the song Scream she did with Michael is epic!!!!
“Miss You Much” “Love Will Never Do” are a couple of others you should give a try. Janet is pure fire.
Y'all being from Gary makes a lot of since now lol. Thought y'all were from the Carolinas. She is literally the female version of Michael in fame, popularity, notoriety, acclaim, etc. The fact that she was never referred to as "Mike's lil sister" illustrates how talented she is; perhaps the best female Pop/R&B artist ever with Beyonce right behind her. Check out "That's the Way Love Goes" from this same album by her.
Whatttttt never heard of the legendary Queen Janet Damita Joe Jackson. That’s my everything my queen my all time artist over everyone. But your probably never heard of her because your young
