Wow!😱 Those of you whom have never heard this before, are you from abroad or an area that doesn’t have a large population of Black people (or Black Americans?)🙃

This version by the Temptations brings goosebumps and tears every time I hear it. It recalls many joyful Christmases when my kids were growing up. Motown was the bomb.com!!

They totally made this song their own. A classic. Their version of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is good too.

With the late Dennis Edwards on lead vocals, you know the Holy Spirit gon' show up ! A Christmas soul classic !!! A 1,000 thumbs up fellas !!!

Best Christmas song EVER .

Man this is one of the few Xmas songs that makes me cry every year. Brings back so many memories from so many Christmases.

I was playing this while I had my daughter and two of my granddaughters over helping me decorate the tree. My 16 MONTH old granddaughter yells MAMAW's song for Me! She ran to me and I picked her up and rocked and sang it to her as I had so many times. Thanks for reminding me of the beautiful memory of my smart sweet grand baby who is now a young beautiful lady.

I’m Mexican and I come from a Mexican/American household and this is our go to Christmas song , my mom loves the temptations so much everytime I hear the temptations I think of my mom ; I’m so blessed and lucky to have her in my life still I love you mom ❤️

This was my Dad's and my favorite...they would play this every hour on the radio and we would never get tired of hearing it. We'd be in the car singing...He would pretend to be Mr. "Blue" and I would be the tenor. Memories....wow! ♡

Black households play this and Donny Hathaway. Then it's officially Christmas.

This is the black family holiday anthem. For many in the community, this song is bittersweet....bitter because it reminds us of our loved ones we have lost.....sweet because it brings back so many beautiful memories of holidays past. I know I shed a tear or two when listening. I can now see my aunt, tears in her eyes, but smiling as she listens to this. I see my grand ma and cousins all enjoying each other. RIP grandma and Aunt Mary aka Sister.

My favorite Christmas song is "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" by the Drifters. The Drifters were an early black group (R&B, Doo Wop, Soul). White Christmas was recorded by them around 1954. Thanks for reacting to the Temptations!!

Blackboylost Warren Actually we are both wrong. That was Glenn Leonard. This version was recorded in 1980. You can look it up. However there is a Temptations Christmas Album called Christmas Card recorded in between 1968-70 and was released in 1970. On that album Eddie Kendricks did sing Silent Night. But the one they are listening was with Glenn Leonard. Eddie was no longer with the group and Paul Williams was dead.

They are not just a good group. They are the Gold Standard for male singing groups. I am surprised you have not heard this song. What did your parents listen to, I am sure their parents exposed them to this song. But glad you found it.

Classic. Timeless. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone suggest The Jackson 5's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause". Little Michael Jackson's voice and range at that age was CRAZYYYYY, and the way he held that note at the end...MANNN.

Motown was the soundtrack to my childhood home. The Temptations were pretty much top of the playlist and I could honestly listen to them sing anything. Their voices are stunning, they compliment each other so well and their harmonies are flawless.

Classic Christmas song! 💜 Reminds me when I was a kid and no responsibility but school work and church. 💜
