He performed this during the pandemic. No audience. The piano player was also a student of his mentor and it’s amazing what a pianist and Dimash can create such an emotional song. I cried so hard and it still brings a tear Thank you for promoting Dimash.

This performance was made after his music teacher/mentor died of Covid back before vaccines. Dimash truly loved him and he is expressing true grief in this song. Years ago Dimash had sung this in past and did it so magnificently that his teacher fully approved after initially doubting that a person so young could fully convey the depth of emotion he wished to convey in his composition.

Dimash asked his mentor's permission to sing this song. You can see the grief on Dimash's face as he sings this song. Beautiful song written for the young lady as she prepared for new life as someone's wife. Thank you for this reaction. It's really nice to see you two. Have a great day.

Because there are people who are stuck in a world of sadness. They fail to see the joy of music that Dimash works hard at for our entertainment. So long as we stay appreciative and thankful for the gift he shares with the world, it's okay.

@@shrekswife2164 Nice answer. I just think music is, literally speaking, waves of sound, vibrations, resonances...so maybe they vibrate in a different wavelength as Dimash. For me, heavy metal music gets me in a bad mood, while other people relax just with it. Dimash voice makes me feel I'm not alone, I'm valuable, and cheers me up when my mind is dull. It's like the Cola or Isotonic drink that gives me inner strength to go on.

The reason why you would be able to sit and listen to him sing while sitting on a chair is because nothing is ever static with him. There is always movement, always fluidity and grace. He doesn't just sing with his voice.

The story of the song "Qaragym-ay" / "My dear". Lyrics written by Sariev Shomishbay. Music written by Duysekeev Kenes. Poet Sariev dedicates these poems to his daughter, who is getting married. In the poems, the poet conveys his feelings about how the life of his daughter will turn out with her chosen one. Father shares thoughts on the meaning of life with his daughter. In his opinion, the main meaning of life is Love. Without love, life is empty. The poet asked a friend, composer Duisekeev, to write music for his poems. The composer remembered his only sister who died when she was 19 years old. She didn't get married. That's why the song also feels the pinching sadness of the failed love. Dimash performed the song "Qaragym-ay" on April 9, 2016 at a concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the composer Kenes Duisekeev. The composer was surprised by how Dimash was able to understand and convey the deep meaning of the song, despite his young age (Dimasha was 21 at the time.). After the performance of the song, the composer applauded Dimasha with the words BRAVO!!!". Composer Kenes Duysekeev was Dimash's teacher at the university. He died on July 9, 2020 from Covid-19. Dimash sang this song in memory of the composer. On the stage behind Dimash you see a portrait of Kenes Duisekeev. In the version of the Dimash Digital Show the piano player is Zarina Bozhakova, singer, friend and one of the back vocalist of Dimash. Zarina 🎼🔝🎤❤️🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏

Even before knowing the backstory of this performance, I was struck at the emotional depth of Dimash'. You can feel the pain and loss that he feels. It is in his voice, and written on his face.......and in his every gesture. What an exquisite and powerful tribute to his fallen mentor, to perform a song written by that man, with such heart wrenching emotion. A powerful salute full of melancholy, longing, and love...

The absolute devastation Dimash felt upon the passing of his teacher and mentor was conveyed beautifully and entirely in the emotion of Dimash’s voice. (English translation: My Dear / Apple of My Eye). It is Not about the death of his daughter. "The Kazakh poet Shomishpay Sariev asked his friend the famous kazakh composer Kenes Duisekeev to write the music. The composer during writing the music to the song, recalls his only sister, who did not have time to get married and died at the age of 19. He dreamed what a father would have felt if she would have married. Therefore, the song turned out not only about the poet’s (lyrics) daughter, who is getting married, but about the Music composer’s sister, who did not live to see her wedding. Therefore, the song feels sorrow, sadness of failed love". Cr. Dimash Kudaibergen Wiki.

Dimash has released one Album in 2019, on 2 CDs called: "iD". I have it, it is an awesome compilation of 11 songs that were/are popular Dear favourites. I believe in an interview, Dimash explained that the name "iD" has many meanings: The "i" sounds like "ai" (love, in Chinese), also the initials for "idea" and "idol". The "D" stands for "Dimash", "Do" and "Dear" (his fans) and I think he also said something about "Dark" and "Dawn". Dawn = Light.

I purchased a ticket to the 2021 Digital Concert, at some point during the concert, I fell asleep, only to be woken up by an upbeat song. His voice is so relaxing/calming, and I think that is one of the reasons he is considered a healer. For me personally, listening to Dimash is incredibly therapeutic, calms my anxiety and lessens depression, I think that’s why he’s so mesmerizing.

HIS LIFE AND FAMILY DUTIES From a ranking family of the Junior Zhuz, a Kazakh tribe, a different people from regular Kazakhstanis, and a direct descendant of an ancient Khanate, genealogy is of paramount importance to his family. He formally represents his family at traditional ceremonies and as the eldest son, was presented in ceremony, to his paternal grandparents to raise, and from birth to be dignified and humble at all times, now ceremonially head of the family, his father titular. He lives traditionally, the immediate extended family under one roof, they do not leave home until marriage and the men bring their brides home to live. The bride does not see her family for one year. As such, he has many duties to his large extended family, and his community at large. Among them, he is expected to set an example, to revere his God the Elders, and honor his family, friends and, importantly their culture, traditions and homeland. He does this through his music, and the manner in which he lives, and beloved by his people and the citizens of Kazakhstan. I know their traditions and culture, his family, because I grew up there, am American, and I, too, respect and admire him. He takes all of his responsibilities extremely seriously; they, his people and their land are his soul.
