Unfortunately, the short videos from this site are always displayed earlier when you search for the title. I assume he caught the short video too. Very few reactors find the video with the background information. That's why it's always unfortunate to say, if only they had watched the video longer. They just don't have the video with the background at the start.

@@OnMyWay1968 hey Ruth :)..to be clear it was a 'for interests sake' comment as I'm not dissapointed by the reaction at all.. they always come across as fresh, enthusiastic and authentic so 'if only ' is not what I said because it's not an issue for me..but you are def correct in that some versions on KZread have been cut way too short but I have found some of them include him seeing and hugging his dad at least which even without the backstory are to a certain extent self-explanatory I think. Also for interests sake'..he later said in an interview he wouldn't have teased the audience as much if he knew his dad was there. I always chuckle when I see this performance because he's so playful not knowing his Dad was in the audience. Dimash said in an interview that if he had known his Dad was there, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' onstage. lol For my part, I'm glad he didn't know. It was a fun performance and we got to see his playful side.

His love and passion for music is huge! He lives with music and says himself that he cannot imagine his life without music. Dimash says, "If you look into my heart - you'll hear music over there! If you look into my brain - there's music too! I'm all music!" " I am music myself!"

Backstage, Dimash asked his father if he had done great or not. He’s too humble and talented for common people. To me, we Dears understand class.

Love your reactions. S.O.S. was his first big performance. This was number 2. I saw this one on KZread first, and because I'd never heard him, I thought the "Best Singer in the World" claim seemed overblown and conceited, so I watched S.O.S. instead. I'm glad I did. For me, that remains perhaps his most beautiful song because of the meaningful lyrics and beautiful melody. "Opera 2" is more a novelty song, but certainly fun, and after hearing both back to back, I was willing to concede him the title of BEST. That was almost 5 years ago, and I relish watching new people discover him.

It is sooo much fun watching you and the joy you feel as you get to know Dimash. It so reminiscent of my own first experiences with Dimash. What makes it so special is that not only is Dimash the best singer the planet has ever scene, he also is such a wonderful human being. Today, I saw a video of Dimash coming into the airport at Dubai for his concert on Friday. He was so warm, loving and giving. With the children he either picked them up and hugged and kissed them if they were younger or he would get down to their level and talk to them, but always with a hug. With one youngster, who had a "Dear" sign on her head, he gave them the sun glasses he was wearing. Who does this stuff??? Only Dimash!!! ... Keep on going with Dimash. You have only just begun, my friend. I've known him now for five years and I still marvel at who and what Dimash is! BTW, Dimash's father, Kanat, can be seen at 7:43 in this vid. Kanat and Dimash's mother, Sveta, are also quite wonderful human beings in their own right.

For Screaming I think the best version is the Digital Show one, "Screaming 2021"

This is one of his performances at "I am a singer" in China 2017. This song is by Russian musician VITAS. I have read that after hearing it he forbade Dimash to perform it again. Possibly because she outgrew him? I also read that Vitas would have re-recorded this song matching Dimash's version.

A little context to this performance. Dimash exploded on the scene at the 2017 The Singer" Chinese professional competition as a total unknown. He was the first contestant in Round 1 and stunned everyone with SOS (which you have reacted to); he finished first in Round 1. His Round 2 song was "Opera 2" which again shocked everyone because it again showed his capability. This song really doesn't demonstrate the breadth of his vocal repertoire but understandably he wanted to keep impressing the audience; he again finished first in Round 2 (the original is sung by Vitas, but Dimash ' version is far superior to Vitas). In Round 3 he sang "The Show Must Go on" (Queen) where he finished third, etc. He ultimately finished second in the 14 round competition, when he really should have finished first. Gloria Wu's channel has background information (in addition to the performance) to selected songs from the 2017 competition that you would appreciate (eg Late Autumn/Autumn Strong, Daybreak, Daididau, etc.). But you're seeing it in order of how everyone got to see him from the start of the show the Singer in China, and after he did SOS, the ratings went up over 600 million overnight and from then on, he couldn't even walk around anymore!! The upsweeps are supposed to mimic the howling winds outside a lonely house built in the woods. Vitas, Russian singer, composed this song to showcase his high range. Dimash went up three successively higher half tones while totally relaxed and having fun! :)

Dimash is from Kazakhstan where children are cherished above everything.. He appeared in the States in the World's Best championships and was almost certain to win. He quit the show to avoid competing against 2 children.

How did I miss this one? As always Dimash never fails to deliver. I love his playful performance and see his other side of him. Loving your reaction.

This was the first video of his that I ever saw dimash and heard him sing. Goosebumps and tears. ❤ I love your genuine reaction. I felt the exact same way when I first watched him sing this song. I cried and laughed just like you did. I was completely blown away. Dude is amazing.
