I was so fortunate to be alive and at an age where I could hear Boz Scaggs, George Benson and Gino Vanelli all at the same time.

You're bringing up music history from long ago...how I miss those days. Had cassette tapes of every one of those gentlemen and so many more.
Asia & BJ, you'll love his "Lido Shuffle"!! edit- musicians included David Paich - keyboards, Jeff Porcaro - drums, David Hungate - bass before they went on to form the Band Toto!
Damn! Saw him live about 5 years ago, he still sounds fabulous. His backup singers and band were A+. His name is pronounced like Boss only with a Z at the end.

Lol, my sister used to pronounce it the way Asia is, another way might be B'ahh'z Skaggs, you know like when the doctor set open wide and say ahh. Cheers

He also was a part of Stevie Miller band and help create the band Toto!! He's a legend!!
This song and Miss Sun are my favorite Boz Scaggs songs...
Another 70s great singer songwriter with a huge catalog of music to react to, bought everything that he ever put out.
Now y'all need to hear Boz's romantic side with "Love Look What You've Done To Me". Swoon-worthy for us ladies! It's from the "Urban Cowboy" soundtrack, a movie you should react to. John Travolta does a very memorable slow dance to the song! Great story too. 💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙

All his music is a vibe!! Great musicians that went on to form Toto, another great band.
B.J is like the 'Dave Chapelle' of reaction videos. Always bringing that big time fun. Beautiful sense of humour.
He sang a song for Urban Cowboy with Travolta called, Love, Look What You've Done To Me.
Boz can be best appreciated by his artistic development prior to Silk Degrees and its biggest hit - "Lowdown." His second album had the monster blues song with Duane Allman ("Loan Me A Dime"). Following that came great songs but not a lot of airplay except on early FM stations (when AM radio was king). There was "We Were Always Sweethearts," "Here to Stay," "Dinah Flo," "Might Have to Cry," "Slow Dancer" and "You Make It So Hard (To Say No)." He has done well since Silk Degrees - as this song displays - but that album was the apex of his career. I have always found his voice unique and his style impeccable. Big hat tip to Mr. Scaggs.

Fantastic reaction 👌
Boz Scaggs is just a great Artist the tracks are pure gold!
Hey y’all! Y’all gotta hear Boz’s BEAUTIFUL ballad song “Love look what you’ve done to me” LIVE- his gorgeous back up singers will blow you away! Talk about falsettos!! 😳😁Was a bit of it in the movie Urban Cowboy-(starring young John Travolta 😍) along with Charlie Daniels, Bonnie Raitt, etc.. Talking about some honkeytonk partying- EXCELLENT movie! Especially for a movie channel..Saturday Night Fever too!! 😉💜✨
That note Boz hits at 5:00 (ish) WOW! The 1970s AM and FM radio airwaves were a veritable cornucopia of musical styles and genres brought by FANTASTICALLY talented musicians and bands. We had an audio FEAST handed to us on a platter! We were spoiled!

You need check Boz doing "Lowdown"!!! (Live performance)
The official video Boz did in the early 80s of this song is a fun watch, his interaction with the other performers was interesting and brought a smile to my face. Good song among his so many ones.

It's also the longer album version, which has an extra verse. So no mink coat in this reaction.
A fantastic soul, funk, jazz rock blending master. Up there with Steely Dan,Hall and Oates etc. Foot tapping, finger snapping, hand clapping, soul wrapping music at its finest imo!

It's now called Yacht Rock and it was the golden age of smooth RnB and blue eyed authentic soul. That's good Friday night scotch whiskey music.
Now y’all talkin’! My favorite Boz Skaggs song! Memories of the beginning of the great 80’s decade! Good times! Oh but y’all should see the music video too!
Saw him several times live..recently in OC CA still the BOZ Jojo my fave!
Have always been a Boz fan! Great singer and song writer. Listen to more of Boz Scaggs, you won't be disappointed.
Can you pretty please do Boz's We're All Alone? It is one of my all time top favourite ballads. Love Look What You're Done to Me is beautiful as well.

Live versions from 2004 are bomb.
"Jojo" was released in 1980. The song talks about a pimp working on Broadway.
Seen him live in concert, awesome show, still touring today 💃🕺👌🎶🎤
Boz Scaggs was one of the best! Thank you for playing him :) I also recommend “ We’re All Alone “ and “ Love, Look What You’ve Done To Me” for the romantic side of his music. Appreciate you both :) You’re the best!!!
Boz Scaggs is great. Smooth jazzy rock. He has several hits, all worth a visit. :)
Shout out to Asia b.j.you are blessed appreciated🙏✌️
Please check out Breakdown Dead Ahead by him! Love it! I can listen to Boz all day! Keep On Rockin'
I'm gonna click on Boz Scaggs...every time! That is one cool cat.
Love this song. Boz's music is awesome.
This song was fire 🔥 from jump street… I was in single digits when it came out. In my Top 25 songs of 57 years musical history
BJ's feeling Jojo, and Asia ain't having none of Jojo. She ain't feeling him at all.😄😄😄
Boz is the best!
Love Boz Scaggs 😍 Love all his songs but my favourites are "JoJo"; "Look What You've Done to Me"; "We're All Alone" and "Georgia". The video that showed up after Asia stopped it was the video of JoJo which I love. You should watch 😃
Great song. One of my all-time favs.
Loan Me a Dime is a must.
Yes! My favorite Boz Scaggs song.
Saw him a few months back in Santa Rosa, CA. In his early 80's. Man he sounds PERFECT! And he sure can play guitar. I go to a lot of concerts and his was the best performance I've seen in years. If he's ever around you don't hesitate to go!

@Boz Scaggs ♪ I'm from just south of SF on the coast (Pacifica). By the way I have to apologize for the comment about your age ; looked it up and you're "only" 78. That explains why your voice is so good 😁 I love distinctive voices and yours is certainly that. A great part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you for all the great music and memories ❤️
So much soul it hurts
From the U.K. I love A + B.J. !
Boz is so smooth.
Boz, like Roz or Paws. Not Bose, like Rose or Toes. Boz Scaggs did that sexy grown-azz jazz back in the day. Such a blast from the past. Well done.
Love Boz Skaggs. I grew up with the best music.
Boz is THE MAN!!!!!!!
Love it!!!❤❤LOVE Asia& BJ … very underrated song 🎶
Smooth vibe, just right rhythm.. so cool dax solo.... Gotta love this era of music 🎵🎶🎷🔥🎷🎹🎶🎵🎧🎤🎺🎼🔥🔥🎙️🎸🎸
This sound was tight.
Great vibe. Talent all around. Hey BJ how you have such a great hat collection. Shirts and all match everyday. My wife is always hounding on me to match.
I would love to see you react to Adam Lambert perform "Believe" at the Kennedy Center honoring Cher. Goosebumps and jaw dropping performance. The celebrities in the audience were stunned and gave him a standing ovation.
Classic Yacht Rock classic. Blue Eyed Soul late 70s early 80s right here.
Jojo is a willie dynamite! 🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍
Always found him underrated
Another FUNKY hit by Boz!
Great choice y’all! I grew up on Boz Scaggs. Great childhood memories! Thanks!♥️😎👍Also, if you haven’t heard Bobby Caldwell-What you won’t do for love. Check out video! I’m sure y’all will enjoy it:) Much love! ♥️🤗
A friend of mines wife was a backup singer for Boz..
You probably know this is basically the band TOTO backing him. Check Toto's Georgy Porgy with Cheryl Lynn backing vocals. Awesome..
This is great, but his monster hit Lido Shuffle is incredible!

For me, 'Lowdown' and 'Breakdown Dead Ahead' surpasses 'Lido'. But really, all of his songs are fantastic! 'Miss Sun' is just yummy, and very much in the same vein as 'Jojo'. Another must listen.
It can't just be on you. It gotta be in you.
Check out his track Low Down too

Miss Sun needs to be next!
One of my favorites of Boz Skaggs! Thanks for this!
Sounds very similar to Toto's "Georgy Porgy" - same tempo and all.
Break out the blacklight and the brandy. Smooooooth Skaggs. Brings back great memories.
Can't believe first time hearing
Boz is bomb.
So much great music from Boz -rhymes with “bras” or “saws.”
You two are adorable
Wow...flashback! Reminds me of a boyfriend I had as a teenager. His name was Joe...
Listen to Breakdown by Boz. Great song!
love me some Boz!

A stone cold smooth groove. The drums are all the way "in the pocket"
I love ya'll's reaction to this awesome song.
Boz started out in a band with Steve Miller
So many good songs. Harbor Lights, Georgia, What Can I Say, and It’s Over.
Wishing y’all was in the ATL! Would love to help Asia put down some country tinged R&B tracks. Maybe coax some funk rock outcha! Like Baby Jean Kennedy from Mothers Finest.
Lido Shuffle next! (Bah-z)
Check out a few more- Lowdown, Lido Shuffle.
Going to see Boz live in Little Rock next week. Cannot wait
JoJo was a Pimp!
BJ dig Boz! Next up maybe react to Boz' Look What You've Done to Me? Gotta be the live version though. I think you guys will like that one too.
my name is joe ,i love you two
Ooh, this is the good stuff right here…. My favorite Bozz Scaggs song; such a smooth R&B song about a pimp ❤😂 Can we give it up for the background singers on this one? 👏
His live shows are on YT and there amazing.
He pronounces his first name like this Baaaaz Try the Dirty Low Down
You must ck out his song "MR.SUN" You will love it!
Boz Scaggs is Bad, He says Jojo is a Pimp. "His Baby stays High, Got to keep her Sweet. He Keep her just Right, Keeps her on the Street."
Remarkably similar sound to Toto "Georgy Porgy". Is anyone surprised?
@kevinmartin9732

Toto was his backup band before they became Toto
The Toto Boys, lead by the incomparable Jeff Porcaro on drums. Michael Jackson liked the Boys too.
The proper pronunciation of his name is synonymous with Oz, as in "The Wizard Of...", and put a "B" in front of it. Boz. Bose are the speaker people.
Box scaggs was a great jazzy style singer. His classic song Low Down you might even recognize. Boz is the Boss of his time. And his name is pronounced more like Boss than Beaus cuz he was a Boss of Smoothe
Check out the live version from 2004. Excellent
Great reaction! 🎶

Jojo was a pimp!
Omg, you guys are cracking me up right now; “If your money’s right” 😂😂😂 Hey, if you come around JoJo, you’ve got to come correct 🤣🤣🤣
Smooth
Long version is good too, 6+ 👌
BOZZZ Skaggs, his name is pronounced diff. You def got his vibe!
Toto was Boz's band
His name is pronounced like Oz like wizard of
Love the hat
TO me Jojo is connected likes the city and the clubs as you say but to me it sounds like Jojo has grown up tough, he's loving etc. , but he can turn that off fast as he is used to walking away from those close to him, so don't fuck up with Jojo, and don't owe him money etc. there are no second chances. I always loved Boz Scaggs and especially this song.
Jojo is an great song, however, Boz Scaggs is a good singer, awesome! This was my pool playing days and dancing days. Thank You for the memories.😃😃👏🫶
