Too long of a list! They do ask for suggestions on Patreon - at least for their 'Shorts' and I always end up with 5 or 6 suggestions each time. But for full length ones, I think they prefer to go with their own ideas. They can really do so many different genres that it can be tough to narrow the list down to reasonable ideas. Personally, I'd love to see them do something by The Neville Brothers - especially "Yellow Moon". Much of my reasoning behind that is wanting to hear what they could do with the instrumentals - both the percussion and the sax. I'm not sure who would be best to attack Aaron Neville's voice. But I'm positive either Eli or Cesar could do it, as could several of their regularly featured guests. And I'd really love to hear Geoff take on some Jim Morrison of The Doors. But I've suggested it often enough that I'm sure he is against the idea. And truthfully a Doors organ solo would be very difficult. Hence I keep suggesting that for Shorts where they might be able to leave that part out.

I’d love to see them go older; so much good music on the fifties through seventies that modern kids don’t know. I’d also love to hear some blues. At least the ones most have heard like Sweet Home Chicago.

The first time I heard this song, I thought the effects on the vocals were too much. But the more I listen to it, and the more I watch reactors like you who are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about music production, the more I appreciate that those elements are just as much VoicePlay's work as the plain vocals are. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I am still so blown away by this performance. I'm vintage (aka, old 😂), this song originally came out when I was in 10th or 11th grade, so it's been a favorite for a while. First saw the video on a reaction channel, then added the song to my daily playlist! I love all of it, but honestly, I am most impressed with Layne. I'm a PTX girl, so knowing Kevin Olusola, I know the insanity that is a beatboxer, but STILL!!

Layne and Kevin both are uniquely talented as beat boxer and vocal percussionists in their own ways, for sure. I love how Layne is able to manipulate his vocal percussion into sounding dubstep!

That's hardly 'vintage'! You're a baby still! I was in my 30s at that time. And you must be roughly in Geoff and Layne's age range since they began singing as a group just out of high school in '97. And I believe Eli has a year or two on them. As I said to someone else bemoaning their age - 'You're only as old as the music you have on play.' That makes me a good 20 years younger than my actual age. At least as far as I'm concerned.

At first I was going to comment you must have pulled up the initial music only drop for your reaction and say the video would add dimension and clarity to some of the audio “irregularities”. But as I pulled up the comments you pull up the video for a secondary look at the project. Nice to see you were on top of it all the way through. I usually listen to reactor only or vocal analysts, but I thoroughly enjoyed your engineering perspective and the techniques VP uses to edit and mix their final product.

One more comment, sorry. One of the things I love about Cesar is that he totally flirts with the camera! It reminds me a lot of Constantine Maroulis. Don't worry if you don't know who he is, he was a contestant on American Idol who gained recognition for following the camera with sultry bedroom eyes. He went on to a decent career. Adam Lambert did it on AI a lot too. He lost too, but look how THAT turned out! Anyway it was part of the reason they were some of my favorite contestants. 💙💙💙💙

@@JeffreyHackReacts Oooh, I'd be SO up for that! His version of "Mad World" is still my favorite, the one he did on AI (he did a cover on an album too). He sang it on AI, but the show went long, and he was the last to perform, so his performance got cut off. They kept filming, though, and he got a standing ovation from Simon. Because Adam couldn't be voted on, they changed that Weds show to present it, and did some other stuff, and two people were voted off the next week. Oh! I have a suggestion to something you might enjoy reacting to, especially if you like Captain Jack Sparrow! There's this channel called The Hillywood Show, and they do (mostly) musical parodies. Their "Pirates of The Caribbean" one is excellent and hilarious, and even though it's fairly old, I think you'd find it fresh and enjoyable! All their parodies are fan funded, but you'd never guess it. Oh, and if you're a "Lord Of The Rings" fan, their parody of THAT has Sean Astin's seal of approval. Sorry this got a little long. If you check any of them out, let me know. I'd love to know what you think of Hillywood!

It's by someone named Bryan Fernando Velez Flores. You'll love it!

Hey, I like the "Monk (the occupation, not the detective) Aesthetic" you've got going in your room! Very calming! This song is one I remember, but was not that big a fan of. I didn't hate it or anything, it just wasn't my vibe, even though I liked the...um...what's the word? The "wavy" feel to it, if that makes sense. Perhaps "flow" is a better word. I watched it first as video, but mostly I often prefer that because I am so visually oriented. I honestly did not especially like the original. Maybe it was the creepy factor of the original's video, but mostly I just didn't get that much emotion out of it at the time. I preferred EverClear and The Offspring to SoundGarden. What I DID really like in the original was that buzzy distorted guitar solo. THAT showed emotion to me. And I feel VoicePlay really captured the feel of that here, but then added considerably more emotion in the vocals. I think that might have to do with how much the individual members connected with the original group. We know that Geoff has said he really wanted to sing like Chris Cornell, but then turned into a bass. And I can certainly believe Eli really liked them from just how excited he got while singing. I feel as if when he sings "...no one sings like you anymore..." he is singing directly about Chris. I may not agree, but I can certainly connect with their emotions on this. The actual lyrics always felt disconnected to me in the original. But I admit, that might also have something to do with the original video.
