Anthony lives in L.A. Voiceplay are in Orlando. Anthony doesn't want to relocate as far as we've heard, but when he's in town visiting friends, we get gems like this.

One thing I absolutely love about Eli is that he doesn’t feel the need to be center stage. He arranged this and that first solo is easily in his range, but what does he do-he features Cesar. He does eventually unleash his rock god, but we have to wait for it and meanwhile others get to shine. This group is such a tightly-knit ensemble, and that’s part of what makes their music so great. Every single person in the group could easily go their own way and shine, but they all serve the music rather than themselves. Great reaction-and consider this a request for EVERY song Voiceplay has in their catalog. I appreciate that you jumped on this one so quickly.

At one point, pre-pandemic, VP was working with a production company to create a sit-com. The project fell through, alas. After seeing them in concert as part of Chicago & Friends (movie) I'm hoping they'll do a livestream concert in Orlando, as VoicePlay & Friends.

This cover sounds better and better every time I listen to it. The boys go all out, and I know I have said it before, but they just keep getting better and better with each cover they do. I am familiar with the original, and it really does nothing for me, but this is amazing and complicated and just wow. Eli did amazing with the arrangement on this one. Great reaction!!

Couldn't believe they chose this song. Crazy song to do acapella. They threw everything in the kitchen sink at it and came out with an impressive cover. Mad respect! Dang!!!

Thanks for your reaction! As others have stated in the comments, this one is unique as it was arranged, produced and edited by Eli, as well as the lighting and special technical effects (Layne helped Eli a bit). Yes, I enjoy Anthony as a featured guest but there are no plans for him to become a permanent member as he stays busy with other projects. No plans for J None to come back permanently have been confirmed but many fans hope he will come back when his career with the military is over. I personally continue to enjoy Voice Play's extended family of frequently featured guests and the talent that each one brings (I am a huge fan of Omar Cardona and Ashley Diane). I like the idea of them having several people available the way theater has understudies for their live shows as all of them are busy with their families and other work that they do.

I would definitely love to see more VoicePlay, and will be here for any reaction to their music. I would recommend Bang, Bridge Over Troubled Water, We Don't Talk About Bruno, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl, or really any other song they've done.

Eli (and Layne) were responsible for this arrangement... and Eli set-up and built most of the set! VP just hit 1.5Million subscribers - so hopefully you will get more requests... they have such a fantastic back-catalog and all the genres you could hopefully get into... Have you seen the four or five part “story” that Huldra unearthed? As I recall, it was released on Facebook, I think to gain subscribers. It’s them sitting around talking about what they want to do and they keep breaking into song. Tony was still part of the group. Kathy makes a cameo (and she is fantastic!). Jaimz from PattyCake Productions also is in it. (She plays the Queen of Hearts in Villains Lair ). And one of Layne’s daughters plays the birthday girl. I go back to it occasionally just because it’s so entertaining. Geoff is definitely the dad of the group, getting very frustrated when they can’t stay on topic. It’s worth a view definitely. Edit: I went back and scroll through zillions of pages on Facebook and found it! I couldn’t find my original bookmark ☹️) It’s not a huge deal. It’s just a lot of fun. 11:24 maybe not exactly what you’re meaning but you should definitely check out Layne and Tony (Wakim, early member of Voiceplay)’s “Pattycake Productions” channel. They do more story-esque videos such as the (Disney) “Villains Lair” and they take things like MCU/ the walking dead and script it to music. (MCU is with thunder from imagine dragons/ TWD is to Sia music). You often see familiar faces in their productions: Earl, Eli, J None, Kathy Castellucci. They have a big catalog and it’s a lot of fun and super creative.

I was in high school when the original came out…we would pass the CD around our science class and hunker down over our disc man while doing lab work and let this song blow our hair back. This version brought that feeling back in spades. #voiceplay PS…Gar-Jewel-Ah

Voice Play is brilliant with these types of songs! I love Eli’s Rock voice! He really brought it here! Don’t even get me started with Geoff! We know how magnificent he is with that bass! He and Tim should have a bass off! Lol Anthony G’s voice is awesome! Leeway, what you said about possible waiting for J None to finish with his service is interesting. I have no idea if or when they’ll ever get a 5th member. We’ll just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, we’re still getting to enjoy whatever they release (which is phenomenal). Love this song! My kids were in high school in the late 90’s so I was exposed to some really great music back then. Voice Play did their magic once again! Enjoyed your reaction and commentary very much!

Awesome song and awesome reaction. As many others, I really appreciate that Voiceplay have so many featuring singers around. That, too, keeps their music fresh and ever so surprising. 🙂

They did ask Anthony at one time to join after Earl left in 2020, but I agree that they are holding J.Nones spot open. He only has 2yrs. left in the Navy.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but….J has said he considers the Navy his career. As of now, he’s not planning to walk away but sign up again. And they need a true tenor, not another baritone.

I love Anthony but i also love Omar and J None and Ashley and..... I actually really like they have a pool of regular guests and then the occasional one off, it allows even more flexibility than they have already built in (which is pretty amazingly wide) and everyone always feels so much part of them when they join for a track or two... One day I'd love to see a big number by them where they bring in all the regulars at the same time that would be insane.

I just LOVE everyone's faces when Geoff hits that Subharmonic base. All I can think of is... Welcome to Mind Blown with Geoff!😂

Anthony Garguila - gar jul (like July without the y) la. Anthony lives in New York where he has other obligations. He only flies to Orlando Florida to sing with Voiceplay. All of Voiceplay's shorts with collaborators are done the same day as they do the main video. That's 3-4 sometimes 5 outfit changes in one day. They don't release all of their shorts at the same time. Some are months apart and some are only on their Patreon. Kinda mixed them up a bit.

I think, I THINK, if they were to ask a regular guest to be a member, Omar Cardona would probably be at the top of the list, he's done so many videos with them. But, I may be wrong. None of their guests would be a bad choice, though. I think they enjoy the variety, as do their fans. #Voiceplay!

I agree that Omar is a likely candidate at this point. He guested with them even before J.None left (Superstition comes to mind) and always sounds so great with the group. Honestly, I'm torn between waiting for J to return after the Navy and seeing them bring in Omar. Either would be amazing.

Garjoola. Garjoola. No gulia in there. :) Well others have said Anthony lives in New York, or L.A. There seems to be some confusion about that. However, all the guests they have on have other commitments, but are happy to join occasionally. There are so many guest artists who people want to see them join full time, but it takes a lot to be a full member of VP. Many still hope that J.None will return to being a full member when his time in the Navy is over but nothing is known about that yet. A lot of us would love to see something longer but it's time! These videos take a long time, Geoff ha his solo channel as well, Layne has his Pattycake Productions as well as arranging for other artists, Eli is a voiceover artist as well, Cesar is in other bands as well, they are all incredibly busy as it is. They just don't have the time to do more.

I had to laugh at your explanation of Anthony's location 😂 I guess it's probably safe to say he lives on a coast? I'd always heard that he was from NY, but for someone trying to make a living in the music industry, LA definitely would make sense - it's why PTX is based there. I've heard that Anthony's and Eli's families have known each other for a long time, which apparently was how he was introduced to VoicePlay.

Nope, they aren’t waiting for J to gone back. J is viewing the military as a career, and is loving it. He has no plans of leaving it at this time. In addition, J is a baritone. Also: they tried to sign DeeJay Young. Unfortunately, he had just signed on to be part of the Hamilton touring company. What they need is a high tenor. Eli can cover it on a song once a month, but doing a full concert - or multiple concerts - would be really rough on him. But if they are waiting on anyone, I would expect it’s DeeJay. But there’s another option: Austin just announced he’s leaving Home Free. The reason is that he doesn’t want to be endlessly touring because he and his wife want to start a family. Which is the exact reason VP isn’t rushed to get back on the road. Eli and his wife just had a baby and both Geoff and Layne have a young child. IDK that they’ve even considered Austin, but it seems to me like their goals are in alignment and he’s got the right kind of voice. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

Everyone has trouble with Anthony's name. A lot of reactors call him Anthony G, lol! If you want to try it he pronounces it Gar(like garfield)-jewel-uh. I would also love more Voiceplay. For a fun one you should check out If I were A Rich Man/Girl from Fiddler on the Roof or Bang! There is also an incredible cover of Heathens on Kurt Hugo Schneider's channel. I also particularly love their covers of Enemy by Imagine Dragons and Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush.
