To me, the song is about mistrust and regret, somber subjects that deserve the slower, almost but not quite melancholy tempo that Angelina gave to the performance. Perfection from a young lady that is about to hit the world stage.

No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. Take any song she sung... you can't go wrong with Angelina!

Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.

Nice reaction guys. Angelina never let her voice get in the way of telling a good story.

For me, this is the version I will think of when Suspicious Minds is mentioned. Another classic by a legendary artist that she now owns.

A little late but I just wanted to go on record and say how beautiful this video was and I'm glad you enjoyed it, too!

As you react to more Angelia performances you will find that she is the Woman of 1,000 Voices - she molds her voice to the needs of the song.

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.

Great reaction video...if you would like a suggestion...mine would be to hit the back arrow after you pause it only goes back a couple seconds but it makes a big difference to the viewers.

Indeed, restrained, putting the artist first before the vocal powerhouse. She likes to kind of save the things like dynamics, vocal gymnastics and belting for the right time. If you want those things Easy on Me and All I Ask are two Adele covers where she goes crazy with dynamics, shows off some unreal controlled transitions, more belting in All I ask. Both are absolute onslaughts of crazy vocal ability. Honestly, she is like Adele with more texture, flavor, warmth in the voice, similar depth. In a sense this is similar in difficulty, so low down, so much power down there, breathiness, all difficult despite the less dynamics. So beautiful too, I find this cover is one of my favorites, quite unique for her is I suppose why. Only a little dynamics at the end, she was always a slow ballad conqueror, but it's kind of been a while, she can do all, and does. So I don't know I find it very special. I encourage her to do it all, but found myself wondering about how what she did at 12 a lot would sound now adays, and man it sounds unreal.

She was 16 when she sang this piece. The little girls are her Uncle Michael Astar's, and the eldest girl is Juliette Astar (10). Angelina turned 17 on 10 January 2023, and she'll be graduating from high school this year.

A great tribute to Elvis - including Angelina's beehive hairdo reminiscent of Priscilla Presley & both her black leather jump suit & red Hagstrom guitar just like Elvis in his "Comeback Tour". Also interesting to note that the Executive Producer of this music video is Mery Zamani - Angelina's grandmother. The barefoot princess has a voice that is hypnotic. She is absolutely in angel sent from heaven. As far as I’m concerned, she is the best singer out there right now.

This video was a family affair, with her Grandmother Mery Zamani as Ex-Producer, her Uncle Mike's two daughters, and her sister Juliette as the young girl growing up. The symbolism from the dust flying off the piano representing the past, Elvis's Black jumpsuit, and the red guitar he played during his come-back touring 1968, to Priscilla Presley's hairdo was pure genius in storytelling. Most of all Angelina sang in a deeper mature voice drawing you into "Suspicious Minds", told through Priscilla's perspective during their troubled marriage, by slowing down the song's tempo and allowing the lyrics to tell the story. The pianist Rob Christie (music studio director of Republic Records distribution of UMG, two-time Grammy winner) changed the musical arrangement and Angelina changed the vocal arrangement, but she didn't change the lyrics. Angelina changes the lyrical structure starting with the bridge and gives the song a different meaning than Felton Jarvis and Mark James , Angelina version absolutely fits the lyric better. Once again, many people don't hear and understand the song until Angelina tells the story. 💯 *AJ* 💯👣 The producer Felton Jarvis from Elvis Presley cleverly covered this *Mark James song from 1968 in 1969* , Elvis' last #1 hit in the US and #7 of his most successful songs. Felton Jarvis took the original country arrangement completely from Mark James and pushed the song with more speed and additional instruments (wind instruments, violin etc.) and a spectacular backing choir (in the studio version).

When Angelina opens her mouth and belts that first chorus it hits you right in the center of your being. Power & Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. Funfact, AJ and Adel were at the Grammies. I bet the two women met and talked. Angelina (AJ) is a BIG fan of Adele, and from what I could gather, Adele has great respect for AJ. By the way, the guitar you saw, belongs to Mr. Christie (Piano Player) and is said was played by Elvis in 1969, OR is the exact replica (also very expensive). Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. Adele is a marvelous song writer and an accomplished singer. I give her that. But let me suggest to you FOUR written and performed songs by Adele that are covered by Angelina Jordan. (1) A Million Years Ago (2) All I ask (3) Someone like You and lastly (4) Easy on Me. After reacting to them I'd would ask that you both reconsider your comparisons. While I may prefer Angelina's voice to Adele's, I really don't think art should be a contest. And I don't really think it is such a sin to say that there are some similarities in their vocal approaches; it isn't really saying one is better than the other. It isn't aways such a black and white world.

A great tribute to Elvis this was. Her outfit, the guitar, the song. Her hair a tribute to Priscilla Presley.

I love the way Angelina incorporates family members where possible. Her young cousing and her sister juliette are in this video. Juliette also appears in Valerie, an Amy Winehouse song that Angelina covers.

Angelina's style is all about the emotion the story of the song was meant to convey. While Elvis used this song to put on a show, which was highly entertaining, Angelina always makes the listener understand and feel the lyrics. The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old. Her first US Album is expected to be released this year (2023) after she finishes High School.

She turned 17 on january 10th 2023. This video was released in spring of 2022 when MGM released the movie : ELVIS". A tribute to Him and Priscilla( the leather outfit and guitar and her hairdo respectivly). She plays piano,guitar,violin and even the doorbell if needed. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

In several rehearsal videos when she was younger Angelina could turn on and off the song's emotion like switch. Demonstrating a skillful acting ability. I suspect she may end up winning an Oscar for her role in a drama. Can you just imagine her in a role of great drama?

AJ as always, takes a cover and makes it uniquely her own. The cool visuals are the red guitar, and the Priscilla hairdo... a retro homage.

If you listen to I'M HOLDING OUT FOR YOU age 10 you will realise she has always had a beautiful rich lower register. Her voice is always recognisable yet will adapt to the genre and emotional context of the song. That has led some to call her the angel with a hundred voices. It's also why you can never get bored as you can never predict what she will do with a song even within the same age bracket and artist she is covering.

This is how this song should have been sung. Elvis could have but didn't. We know from other ballads he did. Somehow he just missed on the lyrics and meaning of this one and decided to make it more rock.

❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 There are bad recordings of Angelina, but there are no bad performances by Angelina. Anything that you pick will be good if the recording quality is good. There are a lot of fan videos of her that were made by a cell phone that leave a lot to be desired, but in most of them you still get a good sense of what she would sound like had you heard it live. One of my favorites by her is her complete remake of Billie Jean in which she turns the Michael Jackson pop song into a jazz song. You can also clearly understand the lyrics, which is not the case with the original. Great job by the both of you!😊

It appears that Angelina Jordan is a musical genius. Many well known musical teachers and producers have commented about her vocal technics and arraigning aptitude. As with any artist there are songs you prefer more or less than others, but regardless f the song choice, Angelina performs it better than any other artist you can think of. So many of todays singers just go for one verb runs that make no sense or try to see how high of a note they can hit. Angelina sees the story of a song and brings out the emotional meaning he writer intended to convey but could not accomplish. Most of the current round of “singers” could not make a video without overt sex overtures/nudity, filthy languages, or auto-tune by computer. Angelina is the TRUTH!

If you notice she is barefoot in her videos, even when she was on Norway's Got Talent & AGT. It's because one day when real little like whe she was 5 or so, she seen some poor kids walking barefoot cause they couldn't afford shoes, so she vowed that until all kids in the world were able to have shoes, she would not wear them also. She just turned 17 in Jan of 2023. She is actually dropping an original song on May 5th (I think that's the date). 8:39
