When she sang this at one of her concerts this summer she stated this was dedicated to her grandma Mery Zamani who’s not been too well recently..they’re incredibly close..I agree with those who say Angelina Is Mery’s finest work of art..as such, this song has a very different meaning to her angels than the version sung by Whitney Huston.

The other version is simply her Tribute To Whitney Houston,always notice that about Angelina. If she feels like she cant do the song full justice yet,she does not call it a cover. You picked the right one, wich is her waiting until she matured abit more (her vocal chords became better in taking on this difficult song) She was basically just having fun,giving an online tribute video to Whitney wich her Grandma loves (in the other video),and through her also made Angelina a massive fan. Im not saying she did a bad job at the first one,but you might hear her voice slightly crack abit as she simply was too young to completely own that song. Over the years Angelina has gotten alot of comments like "she can only sing jazz",and i think she then decided to prove them wrong by actually attacking insanely difficult songs,like this one. Imagine that day when Angelina feels like shes as versatile as she wants to be? Pheeeeew! Shes gonna be the next Floor Jansen,if this continues.

What a tribute to WH !!!

The most beautiful rendition of this song ever. Pure earcandy I can listen to on repeat.. Other versions I never listen to more than once even if they are impressive enough..😊

Angelina adapts her voice to the needs of the song - not every song needs the power and the belts that Angelina is putting into I Have Nothing - that is part of her genius. The first single off her new all-original album will be released by the end of this month (April 2023) - the rest of the Album to follow in late Summer or Fall. The album will showcase not only Angelina's voice but her songwriting and collaboration skills - she has indicated that the theme of the album will have a retro-sixties style vibe.

In the studio versions, more times than not there is a light shining behind her. All of us can interpret what that means, it is intentional. Continue with us on her journey. We will be with you all the way.

I saw her Suspicious Minds rendition as more of a tribute to the memory of Elvis. It was soft and intimate. She didn't try to emulate the original. In this song she is turning loose and showing her true talent.

I'm not certain even a 17 year old Whitney could have done this better. Angelina has been in front of us so much and her output has been staggering. We have literally watched this girl grow-up. I can't remember ever having the access to an artist the way we have with Angelina. From 18 months to the present we've been privy to so much of her life. Hi PnS 👋. This is a awesome cover that 16 y.o. she Angelinalized and made her own. The other version she did when she was an early 13, she was trying out her skill of back phrasing on the tribute. She other versions last year in her July concerts of 2022 and she did a different version when she was invited to sing at the 20th Unforgettable Gala in December of 2022. The next one is I'm a fool to want you, she is wearing a yellow shirt with leaves on top of her Head singing into a mic. She is 11 years old.both of them will blow your mind. And yes she does not need anything special around her, no dancers, flashing lights, or loud instruments her voice is unbelievable and that is all she really needs and it's better than all the singers of today in my opinion. Song is definitely a diva showpiece and exercises much of her dynamic range, She then works in vocal colorizations, inflections and other nuances that, though subtle, makes this her own. However, what I think makes this most memorable is her vocal connection to this song and the way she expresses it. There is some connection to her grandmother with this song which can be seen in a TikTok performace (has been copied to KZread) where AJ is singing the song in a parking garage with her grandmother. They are hugging throughout the song and Mery breaks down in tears at the end.

You've uploaded two amazing artists today, thank you ... Angelina always performs barefoot after meeting a young shoeless girl and giving her own shoes to the girl, she then went on to write a book about the experience and became the youngest published author in Norway ... (from Manchester, England)

I would disagree that her other stuff is like performances, cause what seperates Angelina from most others is that she always feel and almost live in the song with her emotions and she never just perform it like its rehearsed. When she sits in her bedroom and the notes just flows out its always so natural and organic.

True. I don’t think she ever does the same song the same way. Each time she sings a song it’s a new experience. In her home made videos you can hear slight imperfections at times (sometimes in the lyrics) but she just continues because the emotion and feeling she wants is there. If she were to do several takes and try to copy the exact same feeling each time it probably wouldn’t seem genuine.

I don’t think any of her songs are just performances. She has said that when she sings she is taken to another world and she feels the song. You can see that when she closes her eyes. She’s said that singing is like breathing for her. It’s a part of her. So I don’t think she’s ever just performing. She’s doing what she lives for, sing for the world.

Thanks for the genuine reactions. It is refreshing. I would like to suggest that you react to one of Angelina's originals. That being said how about the studio version of her song, "Million Miles". She wrote that song for her grandpa.

Guys, great commentary once again, personal and heartfelt. This was a great performance by Angelina but there is a bit of disagreement as to what the favorites are from her fans. This actually is not in her normal wheelhouse as she is not known as a diva. She can do it but her background is jazz and the classics, and of course some pop music. Music is very subjective. I would highly recommend if you haven't already, checking out her original music including what is life, shield, a million miles, and 7th Heaven. They are all stellar and very different from each other, but with personal messages in each. Always choose the live versions. On another note, thank you for continuing to support Angelina by featuring her, and providing links in your description. Consider that most viewers do not go to the description on their own and need a reminder. Hey, great reaction. Angelina is a once in a generation artist. I’ve followed her for at least two years now. I have to tell you that there is another young Lady that is making waves in the US. She is the same age as Angelina. She is from England and her name is Lucy Thomas. She has the most angelic voice I have ever heard. Some of her songs have close to 50 million views now. She has 4 albums out. Please give her a listen. I know you both liked PTX’s “Hallelujah”. Try her version, you will not be disappointed..

Lucy Thomas seems to be a fine singer with a clear strong voice, but what sets Angelina apart is the color and interpretation she can bring to the game, and since her main interest seems to be in the jazz tradition of singing, a la Billie Holiday, she has really focused on bringing in improvisational elements into her singing that are second to none...

The Elvis "Suspicious Minds" and this version of Whitney Huston's "I Have Nothing" were recorded in that antique furniture store on the same day last summer. Remember that Rob Christie who accompanys her on the piano during the Suspicious Minds number is the Head of Studio Productions for Republic Records. Her first album of all Angelina written songs is finished and will be released later this year. Rob, himself a Grammy winner, has accompanied Angelina on several covers and originals during the last several years and has become an important friend of not only Angelina but her family as well. It is no accident that she signed to Republic. She has received help from Beyonce, Rhianna, and Sam Smith, all Republic artists that have a subsidiary interest called "Stargate." Try to listen to Angelina sing Rhianna's "Love OnThe Brain," or Sam Smith's "I'm Not The Only One."

Excellent Choice. There is 3 sisters from Mexico that you need to react. Trust me on this. Us Angel lovers listen to them also. They are Called "The Warning" They have been singing together since they were very very young. They already have 4 Albums out all with original songs that they all 3 help write. The one you can start off with is The Live Version of "Disciple" at Tearto Metropolitan in CDMX, When the bass player turned 9 they did Metallica Enter Sandman and it went Viral 24 Million views. Dad put it on youtube so the Grandparents could watch it and Boom it blew up.

But, even though a few Angels, boldly proceed to advertise or make requests for the reactors to listen to a singer/group, etc; but you added a whole Wikipedia of info as well... IMO, this is rude... it's like listening to reactors who want to hear a "cookie cutter" version cover, mention singers who they consider to be better than AJ... I'm not saying that the group you CLAIM, "us Angels love".... Uh... I don't think we need you to speak for Angels... And I've never seen a comment or comment to a comment that mentions love for your request/suggested listen... As you should know, Angels don't have any problems speaking what we think of a reaction... Angelina just needs her voice. Hopefully that’s enough for today’s young market which is used to a side show. Her subtleties, nuances, stylings, emotion are what set her apart from other singers.

Being 64 years old I was raised on music, fact is for over 60 years, From don't laugh but from the Monkees through today LILIAC. OH the group LILIAC I know is a cover band but this band will blow your minds big time. I suggest you check out their cover of Dio's Holy Diver, and to give a heads up, The lead singer is a female and at the time they did Holy Diver she was only I believe 16. I never used to listen to Whitney's songs because I didn't like the way she sang even though it was musically perfect and she was loved by everyone. The way Angelina sings it is more believable and not as diva-like as Whitney. I also think that if Whitney had competed live against Angelina, Angelina would have sounded more impressive.

You need a pair of proper headsets to truly experience her voice as it should be, one earphone each is not going to make it.
