This channel along with the last line of defense are by far my favorite overlanding/off road channels. Love how they actually show footage of wheeling with great narration and bringing us with them on their journeys to these beautiful places with some gear reviews mixed in there. Being a Toyota guy I love these off road footages along with updates on their builds and these beautiful trucks. That 4Runner is soooo sick too. I watched his videos when he had his TJ jeep but ever since he got his tacoma this has shot up to one of my favorite channels on KZread.

Boyyyyy I’m ready for the next one! Something about snow, mountains, and camping.. always makes for good content.

I lived in Lake City and worked for the BLM summers of 1970-1972. Had to drive over Cinnamon and Engineer Passes every few weeks to collect the pass registers. I drove a 2WD Dodge long bed! Exciting making some of the turns. Where you camped on Henson Creek at the end of one season the sheriff gave all his friends a sheep roasting party. We dug a pit; burned piles of wood down to coals; finally roasted a sheep one of the herders lost in the mountains. A grand time indeed!

That area is nice but very crowded. I've been a few time. The front range is better. Higher altitude trails, better camping and better fishing and the people are more friendly.

What you had falling into your lap is what is called Graupel. The two fury little animals you saw were probably Marmots.

Thanks for showing Whitmore falls, I couldn't do the stairs as the altitude was kicking my butt so bad. I was there just a couple weeks after you but it looked quite different as there was no snow at all to speak of. Watching this definitely makes me want to go back now and explore more of the area and maybe camp in Lake City area.

I love this! Y'all kept me so entertained and now I can't wait to go do this pass when it opens again. Hit me up next time you are in CO.

Another good video man!. I'm only about 4 hours or so from there and we've been talking about going. I MUST do my cab mount chop before I go though. What kind of watch are you wearing ( I love the elevation stuff) and is that your GPS on the left side of thre dash? Also, what kind of a mount is that for it? 👍

That was a marmot you saw on the trail they generally hang out at higher elevations

For someone living in Asheville can you suggest some good camping/wheeling spots a day trip away? Nothing too gnarly, but still fun. Im new to this whole thing!

I just got back from SW Colorado (1st overland CO trip with my 2021 Tacoma) a week ago and drove up to the top of Tomboy only to find out that Engineer Pass was closed (one of my saddest days in my life). I'll be ready to watch the video!

@@3GFinn too many people touring CO. It's destroying the state. Kinda how Hawaiians / Samoans are towards anyone on their island. CO land has been in my ancestry for many years. As a native but also Native American it hurts our people seeing so many come to our land only to stomp, litter, disrupt, spill oil / diff fluid, etc. You all come for a short time and leave with a few pictures and less memories. You pretend to care but could care less. Stay out. Stay off.

What do you do if you run out of gas I’m the truck and the extra can you have ends up empty? I doubt there’s gas stations near you guys on these awesome trips. No hate just curious! I’m in the process of saving up for a 4runner

love your channel bro! You have inspired me to get back out there after a long 15 years of back surgery's and no will get up and do some cool shit again on the trail. I have a 1986 cj-7 jeep my first ride that I got in high school and have done a lot to it over the years. I started tricking it out for overland and going to build the same style rack that you had made for your jeep so thanks for the great idea. I've been searching for months for a 270' awning that's short for my Cj driver side I like the ALU-CAB 2M 270 DEGREE SHADOW AWNING DRIVER SIDE ALUAWN-LHS-2M but if it was a little bit shorter it would be perfect! any help would be greatly appreciated on one shorter like 5' 8" instead of 6'8" or if you have ever seen anyone cut them down to size? Thanks again and keep making the great video's you do!

Dude that's so awesome! Thanks so much for the comment. So glad you're getting back at it. I know 23Zero makes a couple shorter 270 degree awnings and an even shorter 180 that might suit your jeep perfect.

Dobinson 112s. They're heavy duty. Haven't squeaked at all so far and I've put them through the wringer. They sit awesome.

Super irresponsible to drive with your phone in the hand while filming yourself. (In the beginning of the video where you drive on the highway, especially entering it). You will definitely regret this if you ever harm anyone because of this.
