I enjoy your buddies energy and the way you two mesh. Hope to see him in more of your videos.
Black Bear Pass, you don't have to be crazy to drive this road, but it helps - C.W. McCall 😨 Looked like a good time. 👍🏻😎

Part 1 looks like such a fun adventure! Excited to see Pt. 2. Those truck set ups are killer! Well dialed in for sure.
Love the videos. Keep em coming. Thanks for showing us the great views.

Such a great episode, glad you guys popped up on my suggested feed. Looking forward to more.
Did BB on 7/27/22 for the first time. Hail and mudslides add a whole new element of scary.
Fun video thank you for sharing.
Down hill in the rain on rocks and doing switchbacks, awesome! Not sure I'd be able to do that because I don't want to die just yet. Great video!!!
Great Vid, again...Glad you finally filmed in CO. I just spent 2 weeks there, with a short trip to MOAB..Watching was kinda like following myself around... Thanks for posting and keep em coming....Come on Part 2!!!!!
Crazy trip we'll done thanks for sharing 👍
Sketchy coming down those wet steps. Yikies!
Super Super video.
Passing afternoon storms are common in the mountains out West. If you wait a little while, they will pass and it's safer to drive.
VERY COOL !!!!!!
Epic video! Black Bear Pass is definitely on the bucket list! Great footage of the trail and the views! For the mini trucks definitely recommend getting some weight in them! Always recommend starting at 60/40 weight distribution on them. Once weighted they are insane! Stick on wheel weights inside your tires and on the front of them work epic! Can't wait for part 2

Awesome!!
Awesome content badass rigs
Love the HE>i stickers. Yewwww
Definitely on my bucket list one day, great vid BTW.
I like how in every video, going down the step is like "Slow, Slow, Slow"... as if simply maintaining a tiny bit of momentum and just continuing to drive smoothly off of it will result in certain death! I like the 1:1 "camping truck" to go "hardcore wheelin" the tiny trucks. Heck that's how I got into tiny trucks, as an auxiliary hobby to do while rock crawling/camping.
That intro ⚡⚡🤙🏾🤙🏾
A super fascinating video. THANKS Greetings from Austria.
Black Bear Road is on my bucket list, right after i put in Unimog portal axles for extra weight, rear steering for the insane switchbacks, and figure out how to install an ejection seat in my 1984 Toyota Xtracab pickup. j/k First one to get to Telluride without a tag on your toe wins!
Great video! As always!
Omg , what an extrem way , make me frighten .
Pretty cool to see Mr Demolition Ranch for into overlanding

@@ArkansasOffroad hey Grant so I was thinking about getting a Jeep Wrangler or another F150 for over landing… but heard that Jeep’s have a lot of issues. Have you found this to be true? Also I have three kids only one in car seat you think the jeep would be a good daily driver? Thank man
Beautiful video. Hello from Turin; Italy 🇮🇹
only tacos builds lets go!!!! gotta love it
love the video, I really want to go there sometime!
I did the Black Bear Pass in July this year, in a stock 100 series land cruiser. I didn't have any off road experience, and I was alone. This was my first off road trip. I made thru without any issue. There were 3 spots where I got really scared, but other than that it was quite doable. I agree with you 300%... Camera and Video don't do justice. You HAVE TO be there to see the breathtaking scene all around you.
It would be so cool if you brought us along into the grocery store,got to watch you pack the fridge and then cook when you got set up at camp.I look forward to doing this myself,so if we could see you do it while we can’t away from our grinds as much as we like-it would be awesome!

Yeah that's a great point! I've done that in my older videos and love the end result, but sometimes I like not filming things ha. Can be super taxing behind a camera every minute of a trip, but I get you wanna see it! I'll try my best to include a little more.

Yep. Did it back in July, same conditions.

Black bear is a must for any overlanding enthusiast! Thanks for not adding that “KZread” music. Ugh almost every video has that annoying music. 👍
very nice place very perfect trucks
Great video. Those are called TACOS.
Awesome video! My dad and I did BBR two weeks ago in our stock Tacoma TRD Pros. Some “big chonkers” would’ve saved some paint underneath multiple times.

Of all the BBP videos I've watched this is the ONLY one that gives any real perspective of how freaking STEEP some of the trail is.
I've done this twice, one month ago to be exact, but in the sun with no clouds in sight!

Hey I'm glad you made it to Colorado I sure wish you'd give my son a kick in the rear. LOL he needs that little extra nudge to start filming some of his adventures, the Jeep is still going on them. They're just not being documented. I would really like to see your new truck and the old one go jeeping together. Maybe as a surprise maybe.
Seen so many videos making this so crazy and you guys did it like nothing in the rain lol
@ArkansasOffroad

Haha it's really not hard! Just takes some focus.
I just did this same trip in July. This was nothing compared to the two way traffic on Imogene pass on the at the end near telluride . People had half their tires hanging off the cliff. I back down it a way to avoid passing on the outside.
Had to do it in the rain a month ago as well. Not ideal, but not as bad as I thought it would be.
I’m from Texas but my main stomping grounds are the Ouchita national forrest. Just spent 10 days in Ouray and had a chance to do all of the passes in the area. If you haven’t wheeled mineral creek to lake city, you should give it a try.
🤘🤘🤘
Love the content! new subscriber here🤙
Just did this trail... Getting flashbacks of my breaker fluid going out 😩
I've probably done Black Bear 10 times but never in the rain. Early October was amazing, late October it was too snowed in to do it.
I really want to drive that pass in my New Jimny!!!!!
Awesome work, looking out for part 2! Been considering a Waterport here as well - how are you liking it so far?
@ArkansasOffroad

Absolutely love it. It’s a big bonus that the mount mounts directly to the track in the factory Tacoma bed rail. I bought it second hand from a friend and the manual hand pump broke on me on this trip, but the compressed air fitting still works. So to pressurize it, I just hook up my air compressor to the fitting for a few seconds. The 3.8 gallons lasted about a week with casual use. One day on the trip I actually took a full shower. Filled it up twice in the 2 weeks I was out.
@gearlist

@@ArkansasOffroad Gotcha, the compressed fitting does seem like it makes things a heck of a lot quicker. Thanks for sharing!
If Bear Pass alone doesn't ring your bell the altitude will. GREAT and informative footage! Excellent editing! Gosh! It doesn't get much better! Looks like to me that any advertiser would be knocking the doors down to get on your channel. Just sayin!
“The perspective is insane… THERES A MUSHROOM”

@@prestcars6986 We were out there last year, but ended up passing on Black Bear. I've got a 2000 F250 diesel and the turning radius is even worse on the older trucks and just didn't wanna risk it. That and the rest of my group was done with shelf roads lol.

@@baloghlcb it would be more difficult in a leaf spring truck due to turning radius. but doable I’m sure. the width of the truck was the scary part

Your eyeballs are not ready for the majestic sights they are going to see. When he says that video does it absolutely no justice, he’s making a huge understatement. There are no words to describe this area. The trail is nowhere near as epic as the landscape that it crosses.
@ArkansasOffroad
2 жыл бұрын
@@Jtfogle82 Haha 100% agree!
You know that the power outlet only runs at 100 watts while you drive (think you might have mentioned it).
good! I have a question. What kind of fog lights are on the rear bumper?
What do you guys use to hold your propane tanks in place?
Being that his brakes weren't working well, they smelled and the entire wheel wat hot, it sounds like they overheat from being used too much on the way down. If he used his transmission more (low gears), that could have been avoided. I learned that lesson from making the same mistake ;) If it ever happens again, it's also better to let the rotors cool down gradually. If you park it and let it cool down by sitting, the rotors can cool too quickly and potentially warp.
Easy trail, with kinda freaky views. Stock tacoma will do it no problem with a skilled driver
