If you haven't checked out their tune "Amsterdam" (from the same album), DO IT! Ed's tone is freakin' obese!! And the riff is just killer! I'm a VH fan since 78, and a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter, and this song (along with Judgement Day) are two of my faves. VH forever!!

You remind me so much of myself when I got Van Halenized some 35 years ago. Their sound is just so iconic and unique that I just couldn’t get enough! Still can’t! So now you must check out “Amsterdam” from the same album “Balance”. When you hear that you’re gonna flip out with giddiness!
I knew when I first heard this song that they would open the concert with it. And they did!
The live version of Amsterdam off the same album as this one is crazy good! Imo Eddie’s “Balance” sound is my favorite.
The seeds of this riff go back to the 70s. It's amazing how much was flowing through him back then.

I feel bad for kids today. They really have zero bonafide killer rock bands. Other than Greta Van Fleet it’s just not there. I was lucky to have Van Halen all through my childhood, teenage, and young adulthood. Hope this kid discovers some RUSH down the road.

Man, I really dig your passion for =VH=. I'm one of the many people who "chose sides" in 1985. I've always been in the Roth-eras ONLY camp. No matter how brilliant EVH was, I just couldn't stand Hagar's voice and lyrics. To this day, I hate Van Hagar. Needless to say, I didn't watch this particular video. May I suggest you visit Van Halen's final album, A Different Kind of Truth. Rock on!
