Liked and subscribed! I remember first reading about this band; I'm a tech death guy (though I never limit myself because of genre) and was looking for "new" bands. I was already a big fan of Gorod and the more recent Spawn Of Possession material. I stumbled across a First Fragment review and decided to give them a listen. I was a bit apprehensive as the vocals are in French, but I quickly discovered that this added a whole new layer. I, also, immediately fell in love with their brutal approach to technicality. Keep up the good work! \m/

Yea these guys are pretty great musicians. Dominic Lapointe is really my favorite bassist, from everything he has done with the first two Beyond Creation albums and what he has done in Augury. Phil (the lead guitarist) is nuts as well. He is now also in a band called Eternity's End which has two of the most well known tech death musicians in Christian Muenzner and Hannes Grossmann (they have been in bands such as Necrophagist, Obscura, Alkaloid, Spawn of Possession, Blotted Science, Terrestrial Exiled, etc), but Eternity's End a completely different genre, think prog+power metal.

ELECTRIC REACTIONS the other band the guitarist Phil is in is Eternity's End. He wasn't on the first album but they have a 2nd album in the works with Phil who joined now as a permanent member.

Being well known doesn't mean anything. He's written a few great guitar solos and that's about it.

Oh yes this band it's just fucking destroying. By the way if anybody is up in Canada they're touring right now with Archspire and Sara Longfield so talk about one amazing fucking ticket right there. Make sure you also check their song called Gula (available also as official Bass and drum playthroughs since I know you like to check those at times) where's a bit longer and they get to show the neo-classical stuff even more here with just unbelievable guitar work

Recommend you check out some of their fellow Qubecers - Brought by Pain, Augury, and Beyond Creation I am assuming you already heard of the last band. All are amazing musicians!

To be able to play so tight at 250 bpm and above is really admirable. Just the thought of how many months and years it's taken them to reach that level of musical proficiency fills me with a lot of respect for these guys and many other tech metal bands for that matter. I sometimes wonder if such guys ever take pleasure in playing stuff that's slower and with less notes per measure than that lol. Btw have you given a listen to Fallujah - Assemblage Of Wolves? In fact the whole "Harvest Of Wombs" album is pretty solid, so if you've already listened to it could you give us some feedback? In case you haven't, that's one more badass song I think you'd absolutely enjoy.

Nympho I play in First Fragment, but also have an upcoming funeral doom project where the average tempo is 60 bpm and I listen to 80s heavy metal 95% of the time. The music I play in this band doesn't reflect my taste at all hahaha.
