Ha. The Gorod comparison is something I've thought to myself too. I totally agree.

They are great. I personally like Beyond Creation (Canadian band I think) better. Their song Omnipresent Perception is great and the video is a mix of band footage and cinematic.

Does Beyond Creation use clean vocals? I definitely recognize the name but think maybe I didn't care for them due to cleans, but I may be wrong and if I am, let me know and I'll check their stuff out! Cheers! \m/

@@headbangersreact Definitely no clean vocals. The current bassist of this band is the ex bassist of Beyond Creation. He's also in Augury, who I'd recommend as well. The Montreal scene is amazing: from Cryptopsy to Quo Vadis to Gorguts to Martyr to Augury to these guys and Beyond Creation, the Montreal scene has been solid since the 90ies... No wonder there's so many amazing bands coming out of there these days! Beyond Creation's "Omnipresent Perception" from their first album is still probably one of their best and has made the biggest mark on KZread out of all their singles if you're looking for a place to start.
