Preperation of Indian Guidelines is a very good initiative - a link to the guidelines would have helped. There is a very large amount of studies on the negative side effects of statin medications - life style changes / natural alternatives are a better option to lower cholesterol. Again, there is enough study data pointing out that higher cholesterol in younger and older populations is actually required and beneficial - do not know if the guidelines reflect this - most doctors, unfortunately apply the same cholesterol yardstick to every age bracket. There is a lot to say about cholesterol / lipids but this space is probably not the place for such a discussion.
Thanks for a great India specific study and recommendation about the guidelines.
1st lipid profile at 18 but after that at what frequency should it be done?
Excellent interview… thanks
Excellent journalism
Good show 👏 👍

Useless and Dangerous. Just talks of LDL and not the ratios. Also Triglycerides are the issue and not LDL
