The Peugeot E-5008 is a mid-sized electric SUV that comes with a useful seven-seat layout as standard. It’s based on the same ‘STLR Medium’ platform as the swoopier, five-seat E-3008, and even gets the same powertrain options and trim levels. That means a 73kWh battery with a single-motor, front-wheel drive option for 311 miles of WLTP range, or the same battery with a more powerful, all-wheel drive, dual-motor setup - although it manages virtually the same claimed range. A 98kWh model arrives in 2025 with a long range of 410 miles.
There’s also a good chance of a five-seat version of the E-5008 in the near future, but that’s still TBC. For now, it’s seven-seat only, with a couple of well-equipped trims and pricing starting from around £48,000. You will also be able to get a hybrid or plug-in hybrid Peugeot 5008 (the latter coming with an electric range of 49 miles) from 2025.
Rivals include the more compact yet more expensive Mercedes EQB, and the much bigger - and much pricier Kia EV9. So, in many ways, the E-5008 is in a class of its own.
There are two battery options in the E-5008; a 73kWh with either single- or dual-motors, with both offering a WLTP range of 311 miles. The 98kWh E-5008 arrives in early 2025 (as does the dual-motor 73kWh model) with a claimed WLTP range of up to 410 miles, making this one of the longest range family SUVs in this price range. Even the 73kWh E-5008 goes usefully further than the Mercedes EQB, or any of the van-based seven-seat electric cars, such as the Citroen e-Berlingo.
As for real-world range, we found that the E-5008 managed a very respectable 3.6 miles per kWh over our warm, moderately fast test drive in Sweden, which is good for a range of 263 miles. We’d expect that to eke up to 280 miles in slower, about-town driving, or it’ll drop to more like 210- to 240 miles per charge in winter, depending on how you’re driving.
Charging speeds are up to 160kW, which is good for an additional 62 mile top-up in around ten minutes, or a 20-80% charge in 30 minutes. That’s pretty good, and is on a par with the (five-seat only) Skoda Enyaq, if not as fast as the charging you enjoy in the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5 that you may well consider against an E-5008 if the seven-seat layout is just a useful bonus for your lifestyle, rather than a strict necessity.
Plug in at a 7kW home wallbox and you’ll have a full charge in between 12- and 15-hours. There’s also 11kW AC charging as standard on the E-5008, which reduces that full charge time by a couple of hours. However, you need three-phase charging to benefit from that, which you often find in kerbside or lamp-post chargers in cities - the average home wallbox charger can normally only manage 7kW.
Join Nicola as she drives the new Peugeot E-5008 for the first time. Has Peugeot built a winner? Let us know in the comments below.

How many presenters can pull off arguing with geese and still produce informative journalism. Always enjoy Nicolas style and could watch her all the time oh wait I do, might need to get out more. Keep up the good work ❤
Dear Mr Al Gorithum I love this channel.
seven seater family hauler (because you cant have adults in third row) and you only two isofix points.. they entirely killed the reason why people were buying old 5008
@backgammonbacon

Also all three seats do not move independently, only reason we went for it over the Kodiaq.
Removal of center isofix is a big fail as it was there previously and useful
Why is it so many reviewers such as yourself are so thrilled by a HUGE battery pack to haul around for most of the time when all your doing is driving around the city/town your not doing massive road trips 365 days of the year so why not have smaller battery, good charging rate and ubiquitous reliable dependable charging infrastructure everywhere?

For the same reason that ICE drivers like bigger fuel tanks. I paid (a little) extra for a tank to do 550 motorway miles rather than the default 350-400 miles. I HATE refuelling on motorways because of the inflated price and the delay. When I buy an EV I want to charge on domestic night rate. Maybe you can do maths that says I should save on car cost and more than pay for that extra recharge cost, but after a while I will forget the car cost and I will hate the motorway recharge cost every time. AND the infrastructure barely exists north of Manchester.

Because I'm not driving around city/town - I use public transit for this. When we use a car it's usually relatively long distance. So why not use public transit instead of these small "city cars"?
I had 3 Peugeot’s as company cars. They got driven “well” around the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, in all weathers. Not once did I have a problem.
Peugeot are really stepping up their game for the EV market.
who still has a lot of kids in eu nowdays😅 They should be making cars with single seats for single persons.
I’d still buy an EV9 lol

Here is a coment for Nicola keep her job 'cause she's very good at it.
Great as usual, to get a gander at a new car. Your enthusiasm is boundless, again. Lovely route for the drive, too.
I think squishy brakes are a thing with Stellantis BEVs. I have driven a couple of different Stellantis brands and non of them had nice positive feeling brakes.
Okay, a comment for the algorithm - because it was so charmingly requested! Right, Nicola?!
Great to see how Peugeot have committed to EV production and making more offerings. Great review Nicola.
I’ve got a 71 e2008 and love my Peugeot!
there are few best reviewers, she is one of them

Technically there is only one best. I’m just being a tw@t though as we all know what you mean.
Love this channel and reviewer. Why complain about being asked to comment when you're complaint is a comment !! Get over yourselves!
Love the review Nicky. The car, not so much.
Great video Nicola. Love your videos
I’m just here for the algorithm and I’ll be on me way, thank you very much 😁
Dear Mr Al Gorithum I somewhat like this channel.
How does Stellantis tend to do with Right hand drive? Some cars have slightly odd driving positions and glove boxes half full of fuses. Also, ~£45k for the 3008 is already bonkers, it's not much better given this thing will need the duel-motor if you actually have 7 in it.
This car basically only has 1 competitor: Kia EV9 + Good price, very good range compared to the EV9 - No one pedal drive. - No LFP battery, which allows you to charge to 100% on a daily base. EV9 also does not have LFP battery. - No proper EV only dedicated platform I would still go for the EV9 because one pedal drive is really a game changer.

This was an EV first platform...they ended up having to re-engineer an ice version due to the market not being strong enough to support ev only.

EV9 is also 20cm longer - it is significant difference for many

@@MykolaDzham True, the choices for a 7 sitter EV are really limited at the moment. Hopefully Kia will come with a 7 sitter EV7 similar in size as the e-5008.

@@ferrariforever1 Would be cool but I doubt ... Volvo EX90 when it will finally come will be 5 meters (and even more expensive). Hyundai will also come with IONIQ 9 at some point, but it will be most likely about 5 meters too. Tesla Model Y 7 seater is not available in Europe. The only comparable car today is Mercedes EQB that is ugly by many params because it is just GLB with the petrol engine replaced by electric motor.

@@stephenmuddell1383 I miss it too. I'm guessing it's just a very busy time for them right now.
The interior in this looks better and has less glossy black plastics than the new Audi Q6 E-Tron, never thought I would say that but well down Peugeot 👏
I'm writing this so that you keep your job! 😊
Strange to be more compromised than the last model. We seem to be going backwards. I also much prefer an open ‘walkthrough’ cockpit - super practical. Easier to clamber through to the back or passenger seat if needed and stretch out. It’s not for me.
@MykolaDzham

The previous 5008 was so good that all they were able to do was to make it slightly worse ...
The interior design from Peugeot is always amazing!
I think the French in general have upped their game. Renault have also got some cracking products and the 5 looks very promising too.
fan of a bigger SUV but not the 7 seats
Nice car. I think the old 5008 MPV was more practical
I've never been a fan of Peugeot looks, but that's a good looking car. 😍
Love this cheeky reviewer - she knows how to lighten things up ❤
This car as big as labours majority. Satire. I thank you.
Great energy and entertainment Nicola. That's my two cents contributed to keep Nicola on this channel 😂
Much prefer the silver lion, the new badge looks tacky.
Very good, well presented🙂
good car its time to increase the size of my family. im very impressed with this family car
A stonking good rEView 👏
This ev have big potential for sure. Btw you are a top yt reviuwer.

Most new cars Today have oversized center consoles restricting leg room........Makes me miss the 1970 bench seats......Paul
I'm getting EV9 vibes on the design but it's one of Peugeot's best of recent years, love the interior too.
ok, a comment, just fior you, because you asked nicely :)
Good review 👍
Need to test EVs that have just turned 4 years old, and compare them to their I.C.E equivalents, running costs, range, value. Its all well and good when shiny and new, but the average individual or family doesn't really want to change vehicle every 3 years or can afford to, even more so now that taxes are about to go through the roof in the UK.
Ah, the Nicola triplets... Always with a nice review!
I quite like it. I agree nocola, the Peugeot front grills are nice, also decent range.
Another nice video. 🥰
Honkingly good intro!
I had the e-208 for a month and I loved it, Peugeot really have upped their game, but then I feel Renault have too.
Nice job Peugeot- one to consider
Seeing Nicola on all fours in the back of a car was a delight
The question is, do Peugeot have plans to make an e508? That's a beautiful car and isn't a SUV. An e508 would take the fight to the i4 and could even have an estate version. That would be of interest to me.
If I’d had my dog before we had kids, I’d have no kids either 😂
Nice car I like the design and I am from Sweden and have driven on that bridge many times.
Just for you Nicola, and you asked nicely. A comment 😅. I do not understand why they have a screen you press to get the results in another screen. They could have just had some lovely climate dials or screen for that alone.
Cool review. Never driven a Peugeot, but ddove a Citroen and I felt like a snail. Undecided between an E5008 and Merc GLC 300 PHEV.
Generally I like the Peugeot design direction.
GREAT VIDEO BRILLIANT CAR.
I love Nicola's reviews, all the facts with a touch of irreverence.

Thank you, I learned a new english word. Irreverence.
Other EV channels tell us we're silly to want more than 400 miles of range. I like that you prefer that, but I think it would be worthwhile twerk circulate why you feel that 400 miles of range is worthwhile.
Looks good just hope the paint works better than the 3008 I had 🤔😎
The size is good for me as I loose 2/3rds of my rear seat in my sportage. To accommodate my mobility scooter and crane. Not having the 6th and 7th seat is no problem to having a full rear seat. Hopefully it will be a mobility choice in 2026 when I change car's.
Nice one Peugeot. Except we need to get range without 98kwh packs
Adoro vocês!
Will wait for the twin motor version.
Jeg elsker dig 😊
dear algorithm. great show. thanks algorithm.
Love her.
Looks striking. More cohesive than 3008
Stellantis is lacking significant offerings in North America. The larger battery version with dual motors would have a chance here, I think, but it would need to be re-badged as a Dodge or Chrysler.

It's because of American protectionism and growing nationalism.
Have ya not seen Scandi Noir TV Drama "The Bridge?" I crossed on le train a few times last year. Amazing Structure!
Looks amazing but very curious of the real range
I don't know if Isofix connections are too difficult to include to all seats of a 7-seater, but it was a niche feature, they are losing that niche.
Very cool looking car :)
Love the appearance of the interior but only on the photo/video. Seems very restrictive. The taller you are the tighter it will be. Also I liked the last gen of Peugeot design more. The new face looks like its sniffing its way down the road. And lastly we need a sausage dog for a reference of available space and volume. Make it happen Nicola! Thanks~
Has anyone ever told you that you have the best job in the world? Not only do you get to take a road trip from Denmark to Sweden, those nice people at Electrifying let you take your twin sisters along for the ride as well. Stylish and a bit of a looker, the vehicle is nevertheless rather too large for my needs but then horses for courses, eh?
Looks great! I’ll take the petrol
Car review with tons of added humor!
Awesome
Love her ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Brilliant video…tres funny!!!
Sounds good enough
Oh of course, you make our day doing these, bright and bubbly! 🍸🫶
I want Nicola to keep her job!
Commenting to help 'the algorithm'
What happened to the wave at the end Nicola?
Fun review and I liked a couple of the production techniques with multiple Nicolas. If the price point is right as suggested then this really is worth considering if you have all those ankle biters. For those of us without children or who have not yet thrown away the chest wig and gold medallions this is pretty dire. But back to price, if they have got the price point right this should beat some of the present incumbents. I just hope I do not have to drive one.
Do so enjoy the show.
I enjoyed watching the video review 😊
How could you miss the full illuminated dashboard signature though.
00:20 same here hahahah
I would expect that large glove box to be compromised on the right-hand drive car.
Liking the geese.
Yes mate dogs are the best!
Nicola is presenting a vehicle not available over on this side of the pond? I'm watching regardless.. 🙂 This thing is massive and a little under powered. Lets hope its efficient (for its size that is) with that massive battery..
Nice review Always love your energy
Nicola Hume talking to ducks....love it! Classic! Love her reviews, never a dull moment. Informative, but thanks to Nicola's charactor i'm never bored by the facts and figures in the reviews.
How cars look should not take much time since viewers can see that for themselves quickly
You don't need 7 adults for the next time FYI. Here is a simple test "is this a family car?": put two child seats on the second row and try to seat between them.
