First time I have ever NOT HEARD Joe while he is driving a car. You could tell he was concentrating hard. He was MOVING out there on track. Great job Lori and Joe. Was that the fastest you had ever driven around a track? Did Lori get to drive it? I definitely would like to see her drive and talk about some cars in the future. It would be nice to get some multiple perspectives in each video.

This is considered a dream car for me and many others.

I always have to say one thing in this video: I'm a fan with this sports car by porsche. Also this have to be one of the best looking sports cars out there. I have the Cayman T stage 2 tuned that delivers 400 hp. It is a crazy car already so I can t even imagine how the GT4 RS handles on the track. Love mine and love that GT4 RS!

Hey Joe and Lori, and also the Raiti's Rides family, how are y'all doing today?😎 So most of us that has been on your most recent livestream were waiting for this review about the Porsche 718 GT4 RS (I swear that Porsche make their name so long for no reason). Anyways the Porsche 718 GT4 RS is a 493 HP straight-six German sports car (aka "the Ultimate Porsche 718"), now HP isn't everything but it's a Porsche which means it should drive like a Porsche. My only zonk is that it doesn't offer a manual transmission like the "normal" Porsche 718 GT4 (yeah like if the Toyota Supra had 414 HP) and the interior needs a bigger screen. So if you had to choose a sports car would it be the Porsche 718 GT4 RS (493 HP), the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS (450 HP), or the way "cheaper" beast (aka Dodge Challenger Hellcat Wide body). Or what other sports car would you choose? (Or even maybe the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (in a "Rapid Blue, Torch Red or even the Accelerate Yellow" color) with an MSRP around 85k)

The fact that it has a similar lap time to a Viper ACR is insane. It's on or just off the edge of the top 10 list for fastest production cars around the Nurburgring. It looks like it handles just like a Cayman. It looks so easy to have confidence your inputs. It looks like Gran Turismo.

Definitely one of the best 6 cylinders I've ever heard... awesome car.

The gt4 is better than a base 911, hell the gt4 is better than a 911 S as well. Gotta get at least a 911gts to get the true 911 experience.

Ahhh I thought it was big willow. But it’s streets of willow… track was designed more for momentum cars, and you’re doing it CCW!! One of my favorite technical tracks!!

In many ways I prefer the looks, and size, of this to the 911 models but with a starting price at nearly $150,000 I wouldn't waste my time. The Boxster/Cayman is essentially Porsche's answer to the Miata (MX-5 outside America) so, I feel, they should try to keep the prices toward the bottom end of their price scale. I grew up around LOTS of Porsches in Germany and couldn't see spending nearly $200,000 for a non-911 Porsche (ignoring models like the Carrera, 918 Spyder, etc.) no matter how nice this example might be. No enthusiast should be paying those prices for a Cayman-based model unless they're picking the car up at RUF or RennSport with a laundry list of mods. Awesome car if it was maxing out around $130,000. Another great post, Joe. Cheers.

Hey buddy...you know that boat that caught on fire and sunk? Well, my GT3 was on a boat that just hit high seas and some cars were damaged, some destroyed. They don't know the status of my car yet. I've been waiting to send you an email until I actually have it. BTW, I may also get the GT4 RS (I think I told you I'm getting the GT3 RS) and you know I already have a GT3 Cup car racing in the Carrera Cup series right now. 🤘 I'll be in touch!

@@RaitisRides The ship is called the SFL Composer and it will be landing in Galveston on March 24th. You can see people talking about it on Rennlist. Apparently Porsche is having the ship skip the rest of the stops so it can go straight to the Galveston port (it initially stopped at the Davisville, RI port). The Porsche USA reps will then unload and inspect each car bumper to bumper. My GM said I will know the status of my car by the first week of April. Hopefully sooner...this is killing me!

Put it in drive and hold both paddles in and you can rev past 4, to 7k. still not 9k but its better than 4k.

I like this Porsche better. I own a Evo X and the reason 1 reason for that is it’s plain on the inside. I just wanna drive. I don’t need all those buttons and electronics for the driving experience. Not to mention that means less that can go wrong or break in the car.
