    @@JohnColgan. yes, the potential for upgrade is wide open, looks like the gantry plates align with the aluminum extrusion rails. Conversely, I ultimately opted for the 1515 Queenbee paired with an Openbuilds Blackbox for control, makita router and dust collection system from inventables (modified to fit), it was just easier to mod theirs, it is nice. But then the table and all the other odds and ends added up quite a bit over $2,000. Whereas this PROVer could find a spot on an existing bench

    I've been looking into machines, only thing I currently run is 3d printers, ive looked into the foxalien 4040xe but have had a change of heart due to belt vs lead screw. I'm now set on this machine but with the added attachments including the laser. How difficult is it to get up and running for someone not doing cnc or laser? Any suggestions or tips would be really appreciated.

    Great videos! How much X and Y deflection is there when pushing on a bit installed in the router or spindle on these machines? Is it a rigid machine for cutting or is it like a V-Carve machine?

    You said that you set up the spindle to turn on and off automatically. In order for this to work did you need to have the spindle control on the box turned on to full? Great video. Look forward to your response.

    The gcode commands only turns it off and on. Another line in the code sets the minimum and maximum spindle speed. Yes, you need to turn the knob to full I most cases.

    For the 1/8” spindle machines, is there a bundle of bits that you recommend for using on wood?

  • @PawPawsWorkShop

    @PawPawsWorkShop

    I have always found that bundles of bits had bits that I never used. I would get 1/8” straight bits and both upcut and downcut 1/8” bits. Then I would also get the 60 and 90 degree vbit

    Good day Papa, Thank you for this video. Please tell me why you used the Universal G-Code sender and did not run the project directly from Easel? Can the Genmitsu 4040 Pro run directly off Easel or does one have to generate and export the G-Code to run the Genmitsu machines? I have also done projects the way you did this one when using my 3018 Pro-Max, but mostly run it directly off Easel. Am I correct in saying that the main advantage of using the G-Code sender is that your machine doesn't need to be connected to WiFi to run the job, while with Easel you need to be connected to the internet.

I hope you can give me some light about the matter. Thank you! (Ps. I want to cut wood about 50 to 60 millimeters, and what kind of bit should I use!) :) Hope to hear your opinion!

    The gantry is pre-built as is the base chassis. All that needed is attach steppers. Spoilboard, dust baffles, drag chains (pre-wired), attach electrical connectors & check alignment for square. Couldn't be simpler. 40mins & ready to carve.

    Hi Paw Paw. I gave you a dislike for this video because you're using a version of Easel that I don't have and can't get. Since I'm brand new to CNC'ing I'm, using the online version of Easel. You seem to be using a desktop version with functionality not in the online version. I'm having a devil of a time trying to get my new machine to do something useful but it always hits a limit switch and stops dead in its tracks. I had hoped this video would help...

I know, I had many problems when I started similar to what you are experiencing. That is one of the main reasons that I started this channel. I have 100’s of videos designed to help people just like you who are trying to learn this new area and quite frankly a wonderful hobby.
