@@bjrnhagen2853 Well Sweden have never had as many trolls ever before as we have now...about 2 million and we need them to go back where they came from ;)

I grew up watching the Moomins on Swedish TV, presented in a similar Finland-Swedish dialect, so to me Finntroll songs always sound wonderfully fairytale-like. To many Swedes, Finland-Swedish has a melodic ring to it, and I feel that it lends itself very nicely to folk songs and folk metal.

This is my first metal song I ever consciously listened to. My cousin showed it to me 11 years ago when I was 12. Finntroll is easily one of my favourites. BLOOOOODSVEPT.

Thorsten Lone Yeah, definitely the best but Iron comes very close and Petri dpes a pretty decent job on From Afar even though he doesn’t come close to Jari, Ensiferum’s debut album and Iron

Try out "En Mäktig Här" by Finntroll. I've never been on a metal gig that caused the crowd to be so outargeously energetic than when I saw Finntroll play that song.

I love Finntroll, this song is a ton of fun. I noticed this was on the queue for about a month before you actually got to it. Kept getting bumped by Sabaton or something?

I knew of these guys before but only listened to maybe 2 or 3 songs, until I rediscovered them 3 days ago. I'm listening to Finntroll for three days straight already and I love them!

Seeing this live is an experience it's a mix of moshing and jig dancing lots of beer and merriment is to be had.

I love this song, it was the first folk metal song I ever heard and it's such a fune tune to drink beer to.

I have a suggestion... Estonian metalband called Metsatöll. Merehunt or Oma Laulu Ei Leia Ma Üles are few great songs that pops in my mind. Oh and welcome to Darkriver festival. I will be there to see Ensiferum :)

Finntroll are masters of folk. I mean they have Henri Sorvali writing a good 90% of their music. Katla still writes lyrics for the band. Hail RivFader

Finntroll have an earlier record, which has the name Jaktens tid(the time of the hunt), title song is very good and also the song Aldhissla which I like very much.

Anyway, no wonder _Trollhammaren_ was the most requested *Finntroll* song! An insta-classic when it was released in 2004! *Your Reaction:* "Looks like he is jerking off" - oh, Pedro, your mind =D Yeah, that melody is pure gold. What I like about finntroll is that you can sorta tell that the singer doesnt really know swedish, or the lyrics writer at least. Some grammatical errors here and there but they still rocking it cause they always did

Finntroll is fantastic. And while I love this song and how much silly fun it is, this band has so many way better songs than this. Check out basically anything from their 2013 album "Blodsvept".
