Tim Sway, the man that's not a myth...He's a legend
I know you added the tail as a way to maximize the handle area, but I hadn't even watched the whole video (only got to about 1:40) before ordering because once you find the middle you can mark the centers on the tip and tail and draw the center line. I've been wishing something like this existed for my guitar builds for a while now so I can't wait to get it.
“Way” cool. Guess will have to wait for second batch. Have the SqWayre love it been using in new a different “Ways”
What an amazing video. It's exactly what I need, I'm not sure why I didn't think of it myself. Small intricate fingers, perfect for getting into tight areas. I'm definitely using my daughter as unpaid workshop labour on my next project, fantastic idea.

Another cool tool! Totally lost it with meditating on the burn pile.😂 Good luck with the sales! Thanks for sharing!
This is so cool! Loved the intro as well haha, really tickled my dad sense of humor.
I didn't even finish and had to hop over and snag one. Don't worry I came back and finished the video😅 I'm excited for this.
I love it, Tim. I like the Dali Lama quote, too. "Everything we do is ultimately insignificant , but it's very important that you do it." Yes, I love the silliness and Dr Zuess book, etc. I get the joke. I'm not one of those people who take themselves so serious, like you. I think the tool SqWAYre is very useful ! Edit : I just ordered one, Tim. :)

@@timsway I'm so excited to have this tool. I do a lot of custom "assembly builds" so not from scratch, but I need to install the bridge correctly and this will do it !!!
Manage too get one . Maybe add a locking nut so it can't collapse .possibly edit handle/tip so the larger measure side is 100% accurate can't wait for it too show up

Great work Tim. Order is in and can’t wait to use it!

Awesome, thank you!
Glad I was just able to snag one from the new batch... Looking forward to getting it! 🤘
Use the cutouts in a mandala display for the Jambulance? Given the unique, geometric shape, it would flow well into a mandala.
You should maybe put a 1/4 pin on centerline of the backside of it. Would be interesting to put in a drill chuck in a cnc.
Way to go Tim. I snagged one. I'm going to hang it up in the shop. I'll get a lot of use out of it.
“Build a burrito “ lol
Oh do I need one! Only issue I see and this is only for me is I drop tools all the time and that may affect its accuracy..but I think it's brilliant.. Mr Sway keep on thinking !

Good for you Tim that’s a great idea Awesome!
I don't have a use for this but that commercial almost got me :)
We think you should turn the cutouts into holiday ornaments.
Great video and tool. Ordered mine. Agree SendCutSend is awesome. Mahalo for sharing! : )

Way too cool, Tim looks great, I love my custom tools so much. Laser cutting metal oh I so much want to leap to that Tech. I did my my own centre finder for trophy plate placing on plaques, dream it, laser cut it, use it! Roy
Very ingenious!
Order placed. How about making a medallion for your wall using the cutouts radially like a sun, and your logo within. Could be a nice backdrop in your shop. .

fun idea!
The beginning of the video where tim climbs the snow mound made me think that someone should make a shovel with a bass neck for a handle for shiggles 🤔
Outstanding! I think it would be cool if you could twist a little knob and lock it in a set position, it just looked like when you were measuring for the pickup center and needed to use both hands, it would be the kinda thing where you might then want to lock it in place, recheck to make sure it's centered correctly, and then make your mark.
@zhiracs
2 жыл бұрын
I think you could hold it in place with one hand if the spread is narrow enough (which a pickup cavity is). For wider parts, though, it would probably need that for sure.
This is way better than that gear thing I came up with.

Interesting evolution!
Great humor!!
This would be really useful since I suck at math and finding center consistently along a long surface. Hopefully you sell out and I can get in on the second round.
Nice!!!
Quality stuff. :)
Very cool dude
Great looking tool! I am sorry I missed the first batch, but it’s super cool it sold out so quick. I love seeing the problem solving process. You know I totally agree that a major part of art is making problems to solve! There’s even a T-shirt for that. I know that’s not your thing so I hope I can also make stickers for that!

I was too slow to get in on this, but I have an idea: six pins to set, adjust, or mark a bridge for string spacing. Walking a compass is a drag. Thanks for this channel!

it would be cool if the pins were small enough to fit in most fret slots...but way cool tool !!!
@timsway
2 жыл бұрын
YES! It fits in lost but the last few frets are too tight, however if I got any thinner we'd lose the stability and tolerances. So you're still on your own for a couple fret position markers but you can use this outside the frets to still help you visualize. BUT REMEMBER: you can't just go to the frets on either side of the fret you want because they are different sizes and you will not be centered, yknow?
Very similar to a sewing gauge

Hey Tim, I really like it and wanted to buy it. Unfortunately with shipping to Europe and import taxes it will be around €100 . That’s a little over my budget. It would be great of you could find a reseller in Europe to reduce costs. Anyway… Great product. I love it.
@timsway
2 жыл бұрын
This is indeed a huge obstacle for small businesses/manufacturers like myself. I've struggled with it for years. Even with my side Guinea Pig Tanks business which sells relatively inexpensive products, it was an uphill battle getting them in Euro markets for reasonable prices (I did!) as I still pay the tariffs when shipping them in bulk to most countries (without doing anything illegal, that is). My other option is to license the manufacturing to someone over there so they are made and sold in the EU, but there are pros and cons to this, of course... Personally, I'm not trying to dominate the world or grow an empire so just selling in the US works fine for me and I really don't expect to sell outside the US. But I know this is not what people outside the US want to hear. Many small retailers like myself don't even make international shipping an option. I leave it open as I am willing to do it for people who are willing to spend the ridiculous shipping and tariff fees to be a part of the club, but I personally wouldn't!

@@timsway Thanks Tim! I really appreciate the effort you put in developing this. I understand it’s a nightmare to get this to people in Europe without the pricy additional costs. Glad to know that North America has many potential customers. Wishing you good sales on it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
