These sound great as a step above stock. But where it really shines is when you do cat-delete and cam. then it has a beautiful tone without being obnoxious like a lot of exhausts nowadays.

John the car is looking amazing! Great job on the powder black tips! Sounds awesome man and looks incredible! Sorry about the fit I agree you’d think for 2k they would have done a primo job on manufacturing the exhaust. Keep the great work and vids. I just put that exact kit as well the K&N cold air intake on along with the 93 octane tune from my diablo sport tuner and im fairly happy with the results, just wish it was a little louder kinda going back and forth right now on high flow cats to make it a little louder....

oh buddy does that exhaust sound so good!

Nice, John! Thanks for doing the comparison from old to the new Borla exhaust. A much deeper and throatier sound which is why I put Borla exhaust on my Silverado (as a "grampa" I put on the Touring but it still sounds great - and no drone!). Might be my tune as to why the sound isn't actually "grampa" mode on the touring set up I have. Looks better, too! Great vid!

The car is looking great! Thanks for your honest opinion on the exhaust. I going to up-grade my c5 but I can not decide between Corsa, Borla or Billy Boat. I do not mind spending the $, I just want it to sound great and look good. I do not want an exhaust that the end tips will not be even, that would bother the heck out of me.

Yesss! Not sure if it’s just my set I got or whatnot… tons of guys on the Facebook groups are saying theirs fit great without any issues 🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t yet, but plan to reach out to Borla to see if they can help me at all.

I went with the magnaflow. I have the x pipe but I never put it on. I like the deep old school sound just the way it is. I think the x pipes make the sound Ferrarish. I dont know how else to describe the sound.

Thank you! Part #140038. Windows open it’s beautiful. Only annoying a bit with windows closed around 2500-3000 RPM.

Think how good it will sound when you put in a cam and a tune. 👍

Bryan, I ended up having my fabricator buddy help out and get it to align properly. Had to rebend the axle pipe and reweld the muffler! I’m in talks with Borla now to see if any compensation can be sent for how poor the fitment was.

What happen to the TDI?

Sold her back in October or so.. we have an Audi TDI Q7 now that replaced it.

Looks sexy with the black tips and sounds sexy. Hope you figure out the exhaust lineup, let us know. 👍

Bought it like 3 months in advanced to trying to mount it.. no turning back here. Got it fixed here later on after I filmed this (fabricator friend) and got a refund check back from Borla after submitting the information to them in regards to what we had to do to make it fit correctly. All good now 👍🏼
